Sharpie is up there with my favourite event horses of all time. I remember seeing his videos of him wobbling round his first baby courses, and now he is an absolute cross country machine. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Well done ! Didn’t realise he lost a shoe! That jump that looked like the Loch Ness monster made me look twice , well done Sharps for just popping right over it 😂
Great job on a challenging course (other than missing the off-ramp to the marina)! Hope you found your shoes (TV coverage showed one being lost about two jumps from the finish). That hill at the end was no problem for Sharpie.
I was so anxious the whole way through because of that wet and slippery ground even though I knew you two are really good about being careful while competing. Still, though! Whew. Good job to both of you!
Looks like the remnants of the hurricane paid Tryon the visit the day before. Sharpie was so good in the sloppy footing. I am full of respect for you writing these courses regardless of whether. You rock!
Elisa. Wow that was amazing. He was so zoned in. You were a complete partnership at some of those combinations after the first water. He would have made an amazing hurdler if he lived on this side of the pond. He sorts himself out so quickly. You have an amazing connection with him. To adjust his speed within 10 strides of a fence and he not argue is special to see.

Just like Cinderella. Running off without a shoe. Its a difficult course with all the flowers everywhere. I know they are for the drains but makes for a cluttered course. And the entrance to the water does appear quickly. They should run a rope across guiding riders in. But you still do a great job with all of it.

Mud lark ! He made that look easy. Awful ground and all those slopes and technical combos. No wonder the shoes went missing. I’d trust that horse across the country he’s all there.
Late to this comment…. The horse lost his front shoes while running through the course. It happens often in cross country, especially if the ground is wet and deep. Sometimes a shoe will just get sucked off in the deep footing. So Elisa has to find the shoes which came off her horse so a farrier can put them back on.
