Love your shows. I’m a retired disabled veteran who is mostly confined to my home. So, I recently decided to try woodworking. You have provided inspiration and the how-to. Thanks.
It’s my absolute pleasure brother ! God bless you and in the utmost sincerity thank you for your service . Skäl 🫡
Thank you for making videos that inspire, teach and are entertaining. I'm a disabled veteran and took up woodworking a few years ago. It seemed to help with a few issues including PTSD. It still does help and so do your videos and those of a few others, too. I know I speak for countless others who suffer from PTSD when I say that your encouragement speaks volumes. Thank you and rock on!

Hell yeah my friend ‘ I appreciate that ‘ it means a lot to me to help inspire ! Thank you brother ‘ you’re an absolute rock star and thank you for service to this great nation ! Skäl 🫡
That shelf has some great customization potential. Different shelf widths, different notch placements, different shelf order, different materials. Have a set for the people that like things squared and centered, and then the version where they are placed off-center, nice. The keyhole bit is perfect for this as well. Bad ass project. Thank you.
Thank you for the shout out as well :)
Absolutely, I ran out of material but would definitely send like 3 more sets with offset notches , thanks so much for tuning in and I appreciate the sharing of your project with me and those projects are bad ass
I don't know if you read these comments but I've watched countless videos on how to and you probably the best person that describes what you're making give a bunch of different ideas and make it so we can watch your videos and not have to buy a bunch of blueprints
Of course I read comments ! I respond to every single comment I receive ! I’m super happy you’re enjoying the content and glad to inspire you brother ‘ skäl 🫡
I actually enjoy the geese.
Awesome 👏
Fabulous!!! I'll be making a S### Ton of these!!!
Kick ass ! Skäl 🫡
I like what you did with the calipers for your notches!
Thanks so much
5:25 I have an army depot locally, and the planks they use on trailers for the tanks, trucks and other heavy vehicles are made of Purple Heart. I’ve got a couple that are 7/4 thick and about 4’ long, both for free.
Wow that’s awesome !!👏
I like how your miter saw sounds like a lawn mower
🤣
Awesome. I'd love to see a video on how to make that clock you had on the shelf!
Workin on it ! lol 😂 skäl 🫡
I have a bunch of screen shots saved of projects that I think are bad ass. This shelf with all the possible variations is one I will build soon.
Appreciate the shout out bud & will check out the other guys.
I really dig the bee hive wine rack from Conrad & Tylers shelf.
Have a good day & make some sawdust.
Skäl 🫡 brother it is my pleasure ! Have the best weekend ever
Ill definitely be making some of these. But whats even more badass than the project is some of the marking techniques used here. Especially with the calipers. Ive watched a ton of woodworking vids these last 3 years or so but i aint never seen these before. Rock star tips brother.. Skäl 🍻
Skäl 🍻 thanks bro. Gotta be original and put spin on the content , ya know , switch it up a bit . 😉
You know, if you staggered the shelves like steps and mounted it low on the wall it would make an awesome cat climbing toy. Hmmmmm!
I mentioned the offset notches in the video , but decided just to go center , the cat thing is pretty funny I could totally see my cats doing that ‘ skäl 🫡 thanks for the input my friend have the best weekend ever
I made a marking knife out of a steak knife I hit with the mower. hehe. It broke the blade about an inch from the handle. After I pulled it out of the side of the house, I took it to the shop and started filing it to a dagger like point. Been using it for several years now.
🤣 hell yeah !
Your like me can’t sleep when the wheels are turning
I truly love how you explain everything so even a guy like me can understand and not sound condescending! Keep up the awesome videos wildman!!
Thanks my friend ! 😆
Another winner sir. They all are. Love the versatility of shelf placement, wood choice, and hanging method. That’s got some endless customization and uses. Bad Ass indeed sir.🫡
Skäl 🫡! Thanks my brother ! I really appreciate that . I was hoping this video would have that effect and so far so good ! Rock on my brother ‘
Very nice work!
Thanks boss man ! Hope all is well with ya ! Skäl 🫡 ain’t seen ya around lately
Sawdust and coffee at 4:15 am PST. too bad I work today but guess what I'll be doing in my shop tomorrow?
Kick ass brother. Skäl 🫡
Thanks for mentioning that Mahogany is used for pallets. I was not aware of that. Not sure how common but I will definitely be looking and asking people. I have to double check my friends storage. I thought maybe he had some red oak but I better make sure. Lol. Thanks for the Knowledge Brother!
My absolute pleasure
Skäl 🫡
Pretty cool, I like that click too!
Phillipean mahogany is a nice wood especially if you find the ribbon stripped.
I'm gonna make one for the wife!
Hell yes !! Kick ass brother

Actually meant to say CLOCK but auto correct had another idea 🤣
Thanks Daniel ! Another very cool idea! Man I really get a kick out of your geese! Its been years since we lost ours she lived to be 20 years old 😊
Oh gosh ! Thanks so much
Nice blue tape tip!
Skäl 🫡 thank you
Coffee and Sawdust here. Great project!! Gonna be trying this. Thx Daniel!
Awesome ! So glad you like the video brother ! Skäl 🫡
I got a pallet with sweet gum , oak and cedar. They are so beautiful
Very nice ‘ that’s freakin awesome !
There is nothing better than to enjoy my coffee watching you make some sawdust! That shelf is 'off the chain' my friend! One of your commenters suggested some off center shelf notches and that is a great idea or a great way to add our spin to it! Thanks Daniel for making my day!
Absolutely!!! It’s one of my favorite projects I mentioned offsetting the notches but decided to center mine but yes that is indeed a fantastic idea ! Have the best day & weekend ever my friend ! Skäl 🫡
Amazing job love the finished product, very well done, love the video and editing you did during the milling process very well executed!
Skäl 🫡 thanks my friend ! Lots of work !! I’m glad to see it’s paying off ! Have the best weekend ever my friend
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks same to you! Finally had some high 50s temps and low 60s here been in the shop grinding!

It’s my absolute pleasure brother ! God bless ya and have the best weekend ever skäl 🫡
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks you mentioned mounting the shelf on a stud but whenever I use a stud finder it starts going off a little bit as soon as I pick it up. I bet when you pick one up it goes off non stop
8:46 love the idea of using your calipers to scribe a line for thickness! New one on me! Thanks for sharing❣️
It’s my pleasure friend. Skäl 🫡
Never seen the tape transfer trick.
👌🏽
Awesome , we all can learn something new every day ! That’s why I love woodworking
As always, great content Daniel! I always seem to learn something new each time. AND...on another note...I am excited & honored to have won the beautiful box last night in the live chat with all you guys! I never win anything! But to have something you have made is just awesome! Thank you!
Congratulations. Did you email Rick ?
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks yes I did. But haven't heard back yet.
Daniel m8 they look Sick a think they are super cool. A have a nice beech 3x3 and some square stock mahogany thatll work well for this and plenty shelf options. Just need find the slot bit. Looks amazing though. Stay badass and keep em coming will catch up soon. Potentially doing a flip on the planters now possibly being done out of sleepers but need check if theyll up the price if not going 2x8s 🏴👍
I like your tip on how to hang the shelf.
Thanks so much ! Skäl 🫡
Sup G..... This is who you are Bruh. Good Work!

Another Awesome Project from BadAss D !
Skäl 🫡 thanks brother
Another awesome project I'm going to have to try ... Thanks , you badass Rockstar 🍻.. that did turn out awesome
It’s my pleasure my friend . Thank you
Lol bravo with the PPE 😂😂
Skäl 🫡
Another awesome job my friend as always 👍👍
Skäl 🫡
Love your stuff unless I don’t. Love this project. For newer people that don’t have older tools, squares, or machinist squares, often times time combo squares have an all screwed into the head of it. Then you can keep your calipers better measuring tools. Not that I haven’t used my caliper as a marking device too. Sorry Viking. That was the only thing I would had added. And your square used to have it, I seen the hole. Glad you used the awl so much you lost it. Keep it up my man
Skäl 🫡 thank you brother
⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️
Another great video!!! I'm learning a lot from you. Hey maybe your geese are telling you that there lonely.
Nah they get plenty of attention ‘ 😂 thanks brother
at 2:45 the wood coming off the chopsaw is marked as MB so has been treated with Methyl Bromide, maybe not a great idea to be using it for indoor use.
No I marked it for Mahogany board . 🤣
25:48
Extremely similar idea that iwill make for me, basically same thing but I will leave a back channel. Well. I guess we ain’t that far off really. That will allow whatever under table or maybe just to the floor, to a tv. Hard to describe it exactly but I think everyone can kinda see it. You idea is way more everyone whereas I am more one off I think
Absolutely brilliant ideas brother !
geese on sawdust
🤣
Hello, I’m trying to find where I can join the group, but don’t see the link for it. I’m just getting started with woodworking and find a lot of inspiration both in your videos and attitude. Thanks for doing what you do.
You may have to go to your laptop or desktop and go to my channel and click membership and join , there are 3 levels , look them over and choose accordingly ! Thanks so much
I was so shocked to learn about the teak and mahogany pallets! How do I find some? I always get oak around here. What do they ship with the good stuff?
Marble , granite , anything over a ton I believe
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks I actually have a marble and tile store right up the road from me. I'll see if they have any free or cheap pallets!
This build looks great and something I can attempt!
question: it always seems to me that when I dry fit these builds, they fit good. But then put on my finish, it can be difficult to put together. Any suggestions?
Hit it with a light 300 grit sandpaper around your joint 😜
Hi Daniel, can you point me in the right direction of your Claro walnut source? My hubby loves it and I want to surprise him! Thanks, love your channel
It should be in the description of the video , but it’s . Www.pinecreekwood.com
Sorry for all the comments brother I’m just really excited to get better at woodworking but anyways, my question is what kind of digital calibers are those?
Husky , and no worries about the comments ! Comment away my brother
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks quick to respond to your people that’s awesome!😎
What blade do you use in your table saw, for the flat cut? Thanks.
24 tooth thin kerf flat tooth rip blade , the link is in the description
I reclaim 90% of my wood from pallets, old fencing, construction sites, free on FB Marketplace & make my own stain. So it would literally cost me under $10 to make it if im shipping it. I can see selling them for $30 to $40 depending on where on if its online or local craft venues. Not a bad profit margin there.
That’s awesome. Skäl
When you were doing crosscutting on your tablesaw sled, did you switch out your blades?
Naw
Hey bro, im a member but do t know where to send you emails
It’s on my YT page at the very bottom under member section in details
Thanks
Another AWESOME video Daniel! Geese give me a chuckle every time I hear them 😂Are you using a flattop blade on the table saw? Thanks again, Wayne
Flat tooth 24 teeth thin kerf rip blade. Thanks so much
“Ever so snug, but ever so sweet “. Words to live by!
Indeed my friend ! Skäl 🫡
Just a thought I had I’ve been seeing good videos on keyhole jigs, but I know you could rock it out better than they did and I know it!
Lol
I can watch your video with the kids and the wife. They seem to enjoy it, unlike most of the other videos I watch. You are doing it right. Keep it up you Rock Star!!!
Glad to hear it ! Tell the FAM I SAID HEY ‘ skäl 🫡
Thanks for the shout out there brother and don’t even know if you can find me on RUclips
Lol 😂 I found ya
I'm just poking some fun, Daniel, but you do know that the big part of the keyhole goes to the bottom, right? I did notice you kept your word about wearing your PPE more. You made it the whole way through the first cut with it on! Like I said, just teasing bud. Keep the great content coming.
That’s how it is mounted yes 👍 . Thanks for tuning in and having some fun. ‘I can handle some fun being poked at me no worries 😉 skäl 🫡
I was just saying that because when you were displaying it after your cost wrap up, you had it upside-down. Don't want to confuse anyone. You do great work, I only hope that I can have even a little bit of the success you're having with my channel. Posted my first video. It's crap but ya have to start somewhere.
Daniel, do you by chance have a link to the router bit you used on this project please?.
Ps awesome build as per usual.
Yes I’ll link in the description
www.rockler.com/hanging-slot-router-bits-router-bits
Great job brother and I love all the safety stuff and the caliber marking that you did on this one taught me a different way to do my layout, so I thank you
My absolute pleasure my friend
Did you stay to the end for the shout out ???
Tell the geese we say what's up
Will do skäl 🫡
Awesome shelf man!!! Love it
Skäl
Another great work of art! I like the way you used the table saw to make the slots. That one is added to my project list. Thanks for another great video.
And thank you for tuning in as always my friend ! Skäl 🫡
Rocked Out Another Great Vid 👏 That's a Badass Shelf 🔥💜🔥 Love the key slots🤘🏼
Oh yeah !!!!!! Kick ass my friend
Thank you I really appreciate you take the time to read them and respond you are you are awesome
I appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave feedback , it’s the least I can do is respond . Skäl 🫡 you’re and absolute rock star 💫
