Ohhh that was actually my problem too. i was really afraid to get the white backpack. i don’t know if these are qualified as tips but i avoid keeping my bp on the floor, always wipe out the surface that im going to place my bp, make sure i don’t get it wet by rain. another thing is the material, mine is made of polyester. it is a lot forgiving in my opinion. thank you ☺️ hope u are enjoy ur new backpack. it might need a little more care than a normal one but u can do it ✨
I have a horror story for you, I bought one lived the aesthetic life for a day and cried when I got home, it was horrible I couldn't put down my bag, people touching it when I wasn't looking, passing by dirty objects, I had to wash my bag every day I gave up after two weeks. Lesson: everything around us in dirty and white shows dirt at the slightest contact

thank you. regarding the question, actually the fabric of my backpack is super thin and there is a gap between the pin and its back. i fold a piece of felt number of time so that i can pin my backpack together with those layers of felt. it help secure the pin tight and i guess it probably will help those pins to stay longer. hope it helps.
