- Terraria has been updated to the long awaited 1.3 patch, which introduces countless new blocks, items, weapons, biomes, bosses, and a whole lot of other great stuff into what was already an amazing game.
Zisteau has invited me to join him as we both restart the game from scratch and discover all the changes that have been made.

Etho... you need the cobalt shield if you want to use those baghnaks. If you can get 9000dps going, it doesn't matter if you get hit by a boss once or twice. Also helpful, in that case, would be the cross that gives you longer immunity time after being hit.

Obviously, that's what I meant... all I was saying is that he needs the cobalt shield effect, not necessarily the rest of it. Of course, getting the rest is better since it's a direct upgrade, though.
He just needs something to prevent knock back

It adds more defense, but he doesn't REALLY need that (or the status immunities)... he just really needs the knockback resistance.
The cobalt shield is all that's *needed* but getting the upgraded version would obviously be better. My comment was referring to what's *needed* not what would be best.

+Ethoslab the vampire knives aren't a drop you find them in the Crimson chest. And the monoliths are a waist they just change the back round and music to their respective pillar biome.

The Daybreak spears do a Damage Over Time attack on any monster you hit with it - you can see the spear stuck in the monster and doing constant DPS (each spear inflicts 100 DPS after the initial impact). The effect can be stacked 8 times to 800 extra DPS to the target without you even doing anything. With the weapon's 1200 DPS with just the spears itself, you can stack up to 2000 DPS, which is fairly good.
This is probably my 7th rewatch of the entire series and everytime I notice something new. (: also wish Ezed woule come back for one more final play through since so much has changed since 1.3
Items you pick up always go as down and right in the inventory as possible and they also have a different color highlight.
Etho, if you want vampire knives then you have to build an afk farm in the crimson biome using spiky ball traps from the lhizard dungeon:)
you dont need that, I got 4 crimson keys in my world, but I haven't been farming them

I have vampire knives on the mobile version, and they r the most broken weapon in the game. No boss on mobile can kill u if u have vampire knives. And I mixed them with my dragon armor for mobile that increases the attack speed and damage.

Etho, the reason the Daybreak is slightly underwhelming is because its secondary effect doesn't calculate into the DPS meter. When you hit and enemy with the Daybreak, the spear gets stuck in them and does some serious DoT. It adds up really quickly. Just thought I would clear that up, anyways, great job on the series so far!

Not really practical in expert mode as you may have seen in earlier episodes.
lolz poep I, myself, am a summoner on an expert world and I am doing WONDERFULLY!!! I can beat anything when being a summoner, including the moon lord.

+Relovater Gaming You have to be very good and into the game, know a lot of things and have patience if you wanna do a full summoner playthrough. You can watch Yrimir's summoner playthrough - one of the best Terrarians, maybe even the best. He didn't use other weapons aside from minions. It's in 1.2.4 tho', but it's still an amazing series.

Solar Eruption is the very best melee weapon with range larger than that of a sword, and Daybreak is the best throwable melee weapon. Daybreak may seem underwhelming, but it's amazing against single targets, as every spear does a DOT debuff, stacking up to quite amazing damage.
etho, a accessory equipped in a social slot can be easily switched to the normal accessory slot by just right clicking it.
Etho I don't know if you noticed but the spear has a chance of staying inside the enemy and continues doing damage to them periodically.
Now ditch all your other melee weapons because those solar weapons are better than everything else.
The hatchet is usually good when there are flying enemies along with ground enemies everywhere. Terra blade is good for when there is only ground enemies.

Etho, both of the weapons from the solar pillar cannot fully be measured by the test dummy. The Daybreak, shoots a fast spear that sticks on to enemies and does damage over time, and you can have as many in any enemy (considered very effective against moon lord as it is very good at doing damage over time). The Solar Eruption is a high damaging flail that pierces multiple enemies and can hit mobs through walls, pretty much a super strong sickle, very good against large groups as you damage all of them. I recommend that you use both of them cause they are very strong weapons (until you beat moon lord, then there is a whole new level).
The spears have an additional effect you should read up on, they like stick in enemies you hit and stack up to a certain number to do damage over time. Its good for bosses but bad for waves of enemies because it doesn't pierce like the flail does
Hey Etho, the best modifier for the TEMPEST STAFF is RUTHLESS (like all summoning weapons) not mythical, minions can't do crit damage, and you'll trade knockback for more damage! ;) Though now you both have dragons, if you reforge them they'll be more powerful than the tempest staff!

Etho, if you get a paladin shield, you should forge it and all of your accessories to warding, and get one of the towers ( I used solar) armor, you can get over 100 defense.
I need to get my terraria game on, haven't played in a while now. Never really gotten to the end-game before apart from 1.0, so much more content these days to explore :P
(If you're still reading comments on this episode) The Daybreak gives a debuff to the enemy, 25 damage per spear (up to 200 damage) with 4 ticks in a second for up to 800 damage per second from the debuff alone. The dps tracker doesn't actually take into account the damage from the debuff, so what you see is actually quite a bit lower than what you're actually doing. It's pretty good for single targets, but it's pretty terrible agains multiple enemies. ... ... ... It's so underrated, nobody considers the debuff...
Solar Eruption is amazing for multiple targets, especially considering it goes through walls. It deals more dps when you're closer to the target due it hitting the enemy for longer periods of time, as the tip of it is a bit inaccurate and enemies near the end tend to only be hit a few times.
Daybreak is definitely the better choice agains single targets due to the stacking debuff, perfect accuracy, and the fact that you can still be ranged without having a drawback on your dps. The only drawback is it doesn't go through walls... The thing is though, most of the time you're going to be fighting hoards of enemies & won't be focusing on a single one...
Etho, last episode was titled *Lunar* Pillar, but you actually killed the *stardust* pillar. Just as a heads up.
Also, place down ANY and ALL banners you get relating to the celestial pillars. You'll want four of each for each area the pillars spawn at since there's no guarantee the same pillar will spawn in the same area.

You can have the pets equipped and it wont activate if you right click the buff. It'll remember that in between deaths too.
the daybreak isn't really worth it. You can't craft a full solar set from 1 pillar. 1.5 or 2 are what do it for you. And you wasted the .5 on a pretty useless weapon compared to the eruption.
+Thelolmobile11 Daybreak is pretty good. With the max number of stacks on an enemy, it does like 600 damage per second from damage over time, PLUS the damage done per spear.
The18avp I know it's pretty good, I've been trying it out for a while now. But it doesn't really work as well in waves and stuff like that. The Eruption works really well against those things.
They now have to do 2 more events to get the full armor sets instead of just one.

Patrick Vlaar killing him twice would have been enough if they hadn't crafted a 2nd dragon and a 2nd weapon since they both get a bag with around 100 luminite ore in it.
What I'm trying to say is that they could have made 2 sets each after just 2 lunar events if they hadn't made a 2nd of both staff and weapon.
You know what I miss from the old series? The silly PVP challenges. Outside that this has been a great series and I'm not looking forward to the inevitably nearby ending
But guys. What about FROST MOON event? Did you forget about it? It is the same as PUMPKIN MOON but harder. And it is NOT just a winter thing, you can do it anytime if I am not mistaken.

The Vampire Knives are good no matter what really. you need all the health you can get during the Moon Lord battle, use that for healing and use the Meowmere to do damage considering it does 207 damage and Etho is a melee user and hey Etho, you'll like it cause it shoots projectile rainbow cats.
etho use the solar eruption it is better than the daybreak because its 1. faster 2. more area covered 3. it can hit 5 time with one swing to a single guy and 4. it can attack a bigger group of enemies

Etho you should start using the death sickle again because it's a really good melay weapon that you can use to easily take down crowds and it goes through walls

duke fishron is only hard for you guys because when you fight him in the land he goes crazy but if u go over the ocean he calms down more
Honestly, make the summoning stardust armour, I made it, hung about with 2 tempest tornados and 4x long dragon and went afk holding a water candle. Came back, gold for days on the floor
Etho if you are using warrior putting warding on all your accessories might help
This could be so easily handled. Get a Flairon and watch those pillars go down in record time.
use the summoning set to spawn your dragon then take it off and put regular armor back on
The daybreak sucks, dont use it. Use the eruption.
The daybreak is actually better than the solar eruption because of its passive (200 fire damage).

The daybreak is better for bosses, the solar eruption is better for waves. But with all my money I bet the dragon staff is the best, with spooky armor and minion equipment.

The daybreak does more dps than it says because the fire damge over time does not count on the dps meter.
and solar eruption does damage through walls and when u fight moon lord watch how yrmir did it or someone like that so u can get the idea of how to kill him if u want to but with everything else really good weapons and sick stardust dragon Zisteau and the solar eruption is such an amazing weapon because it' s so big and the range of the weapon is redoctaloas
The best prefix for summons is actually ruthless guys
Etho! when you are fighting the Moon Lord change your class to a range class! becuase the moon lord does MASSIVE amounts of dammage and when you go in to do lots of mele dammage he will 2 shot you. SO i recromend changing to a ranger or magic or summonor class as all you have to do is avoid his attacks while doing lots of dammage
Etho... The solar eruption is so much better than the daybreak. The solar eruption can hit up to 5 times per target, ignites them on fire, and can damage enemy's through walls

The Solar Eruption goes through walls like the death scythe. It will hit targets on the other side of a wall/roof.

You cant farm for the vampire knives, you have to go in a crimson world and open the crimson chest in the dungeon
In the dungen kill crimson to get a key mold cumbin them together then find the chest
Use the fishron mount you get speed when you go in the honey

Etho if you make some sort of rail track you can farm enemies with the mech Cart!!
Use that and the boat track and you can just go back and forth a lot.

+Jonathan Schiethart They don't *want* to beat all 4, doing that summons the moon lord and they do *not* want to fight the moon lord. The reason they're defeating the pillars is so that they don't have the enemies around places they spend time, have you watched like any of the freaking series?
They killed the cultist extremely early, before doing a majority of the end-game events. They didn't want to beat the final boss of the game until they've done everything else...

Just make the Ankh charm + obsidian shield and become melee hero of the world.
You know in expart is a lot harder to get the ankh stuff

etho the daybreak wasn't worth it because when u fight moon lord daybreak won't do any damage because it doesn't go through walls but solar eruption was really worth it

Use the daybreak in melee range of the dummy. You only saw the projectile DPS.
You're stupid. It is a projectile, it doesn't have an actual weapon part. It's not like the Terra Blade, it does no melee damage, just projectile

Etho you can combine the moon and sun stones so you have the effects all the time instead of just switching them all the time.

Etho if you are trying to farm the keys, make a meteor biome in the biome that you are trying to farm. also bring a water candle, and prob 7 battle potions. and if you have five light disks you can just get something to press the mouse down and it would be an afk farm plus an easy way of getting money.

etho from personal play and experimentation the daybreak although having greater attack damage is actually worse then the solar eruption...solar eruption has tiny explosions when hitting a enemy causing bonus damage making it able yo get more DPS then the day break annnnnd the most important thing of them all it hits through walls making the moon lord a easy breeze of a boss
+Evan Weiner You can't exactly do any "Farm" Anymore. They patched the Moon Lord to all hell to make him a legitimate final boss. At least, that's what' I know from trying MULTIPLE "farms" And none of them working.
