I’m just glad Rose vs Carla finally put to bed that dumb myth that “you gotta beat the champ to be champ” well neither of them did much, but Rose did slightly less and the decision was correct.
I totally agree. Its one thing to not get sloppy. But to literally run away for fear of her wrestling abilities and the last fights outcome, that has to carry some weight in a championship fight. You can prove you're the best without even throwing a punch or kick. This is fighting, not a track meet... 😅
What's even crazier is Rose was by far the better fighter in the cage that night. She is miles ahead of Carla in the striking department and has the reach advantage and she got out of every bad position Carla put her in almost completely nullifying Carla's game but gained no confidence from the scrambles and threw nothing and offered no offense to the point that she lost due to Carla having the center of the cage more than her. There is no way Carla should be champion right now. What a fuck up by Rose and her team. She still hasn't got her mind under control enough to be dominant. I dont see Carla beating Zhang or JJ ever. Unless they forget who they are like Rose did.
Didn't want to make it about making 1 mistake, many people including champions have made one mistake. This list was more about lack of adjustment or other things that caused you frustration watching the whole fight, not 1 moment.

Watching rose lose the belt was extremely satisfying. Watching Charles lose the belt the moment he entered the cage was extremely dissatisfying. The Aldo knock out was gold too. 👌

Woodley was a victim of bad matchmaking while he held the title. Wonderboy has been in countless boring fights and so has Damian Maia. They both deserved their title shots but they were basically predetermined to be a snoozefest. A lot of people gave Woodley shit for calling out guys outside of the top five but he was searching for an entertaining fight which he finally got with Till. Then age caught up with him. lol
No, Woodley was too overly cautious about gassing out or getting knocked out like what happened against Nate Marquardt. Prior to that bout Woodley was an action-fighter, after he became an inconsistent fighter that found enough consistency to win and hold the belt.
@@madgavin7568 The last time Wonderboy had a finish was in 2016 against Johnny Hendrix who was on the decline. He's had 8 or 9 decision fights since then, most of which he lost. He turned into a boring point fighter. What you said about Woodley isn't wrong but what I said about the guys he defended his title against, isn't wrong either. The moment Woodley was given Till, a guy who is willing to make things exciting, Woodley knocks him to the ground within 2 rounds and submits him. It takes two to engage in a fight, but Woodley's first 3 title defenses were against relatively boring fighters and they were not great matchups stylistically. To further this point, Till fought Wonderboy right before he got his title shot and that was also about as fun as watching paint dry. It's a blessing the judges gave the fight to Till because Woodley vs Wonderboy 3 would have been freaking terrible as well.
@@panspermiapancakes The first Woodley vs Wonderboy fight was pretty good, only the second one was shit. People calling both fights boring are suffering from the Mandela effect. What frustrates me and I assume many other fans is how gun-shy both men were in the rematch. Few could have predicted it turning into a snooze-fest after the first one was critically acclaimed. And yes the Maia fight was pretty bad as well. All in all, Woodley's title reign was a mixed bag in terms of entertainment value. He had an amazing finish to win the title, had two good fights and two duds as title defences.
Fun fact: Prior to Rose vs. Carla 2, every strawweight champion who won the title won it by violent finish. Rose is absolutely to blame for breaking this beautiful tradition.
When people mention Silva's lost to Weidman most fail to mention Weidman doubling up on his punches. Silva's defence was largely predicated on how rudimentary MMA striking was at the time as most fighters would simply throw left-right-left-right. Weidman had the wherewithal to throw a backfist after a missed strike which disrupted Silva's defensive rhythm and thus knock him out.
Have to disagree with the Eddie one. He did try to take the fight to the ground a lot of times, but Conor's td defense kept the fight on the feet. Eddie wrestling was never at the level of Mendez or Khabib, so to say Conor was able to defend Eddie's takedowns is not a stretch.
The way Rose lost the belt was beyond satisfying. Funniest moment in UFC history. I went into the fight hoping we’d never have to see Esparza on a main card ever again, but by round 3 I was pulling for her to win. Rose and her corner were clueless.
In 2013 when Anderson lost i was crying in my living room 🤣 i was definitely salty as could be, then his leg broke the next fight I was shocked, that's when I found out anybody could fall from grace, i thought he'd be champ till he retired
How was Juliana Peña standing up to and striking with Nunes, then ultimately choking her out dissatisfying? That was one of the most exciting outcomes I've experienced in a while.
Woodley looks like someone who should be a monster. Great physique, super explosive, was at one point a strong finisher. He pulverized Lawler to take his belt, and then had a great fight w/ Wonderboy on a huge card. So people were really eager to heap praise on him and get on hype train early (the same way many people were insisting that Khamzat would DESTROY Izzy if they fought). In people’s defense, saying he’s one of the greatest isn’t that hard to believe if you don’t do research or haven’t been watching forever; GSP owned WW for more than half a decade, and the guys since had fewer title defenses than Tyron. Even fans coming in as early as 2005-2006 (LOTS of them) weren’t there for the Hughes and Miletich streaks, so Tyron (pre-Usman) was genuinely the second ‘best’ guy most people had seen hold that title. Also, not for nothing, Woodley was REALLY fond of immediately accusing anyone giving him less than stellar praise of racism, so there was probably a nontrivial amount of people saying it just to keep him placated.
Bc he had all the physical attributes and skills to be the literal best MMA fighter ever. He had fast and destructive hands he had amazing wrestling and takedown defense and he had slick bjj. He had a decent jab (sometimes) and had monstrous leg kicks. Lots of ppl felt he had the whole ufc at his fingertips but he got too fucking cock then thought he could be a rapper and basically failed the mental part of fighting. Its quite sad and disappointing whaat happened to him
Woodley is a top 5 all time Welterweight, but peeps who were saying he was greater than GSP and ignoring Matt Hughes entirely (as Woodley hadn't even surpassed Hughes) should be utterly ashamed of their ignorant, recency-filled statements. Glad it all got permanently shutdown when Usman took the belt from him.
What about Belfort/Couture 2? Didn't Vitor win the belt from a cut on Randy's eye lid where the punch just grazed him but the stitching from Vitors glove ended up slicing it open and them stopping the fight. Early in the fight as well iirc. Im going on a 15 year old memory but that was disheartening for Randy especially seeing how dominant randy was the other 2 times they fought. But somebody upstairs was looking out for Vitor that night with his sister going missing right about the same time and all he was going thru. Its like they knew he didn't need his ass whooped too on top of it all. It was a crazy situation.
I think the worst fight in Woodley's career obviously was the Jake Paul fight. I know people will say that it doesn't count, but in terms of popular opinion, that knock out was the most damaging.
Followed Rose career since Invicta and have been a huge fan since. Was beyond hyped when I found out she was in TUF. Picked her to win against Carla in the first bout for the Inaugural title but it didn’t go her way which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. After the loss you really got to see her grow up in the octagon essentially as she came into her own with adding to her skill and eventually led to her dethroning Joana. After which I knew the Rematch with Carla was on the way and I was excited for it. I figured the fight would be a beautiful display of striking as Rose has adopted a beautiful set of Kickboxing. With Power, precision & speed. I figured she’d pick her apart on the feet and with that she would have essentially cleared out the division. And with no one left to challenge her she would have cemented her name amongst the greats and could have retired. Sucked it turned out this way and what’s worse was the performance was so bad that there would never be a trilogy fight. I waited for the Carla rematch since Carla won all those years ago and figured the 2nd fight would go very differently given that Rose is a different fighter compared to Carla who looks the same. I’d say I’m interested in what Rose does next but seeing as how she’s essentially cleared out the division there truly is no one left to fight outside of Esparza but that fight would likely never happen especially for the belt. I don’t see Rose moving up and definitely don’t see her moving down. And given that Rose & Valentina are good friends / training partners (Rose Striking) they already said they wouldn’t fight eachother as well. It puts her in a very weird place as who does she fight? Who’s next? Does she sit out until a new champ is crowned?
The most baffling thing about the Rose fight is they genuinely still thought she did enough to win after the fact. Not like right after the fight when emotions were still high but days after they had time to watch and review the fight.
both yan Sterling fights were dissatisfying. sterling won that second fight by running away on the feet and just holding yan for control time when he got the takedown. once yan had adapted to it, sterling just kept diving for the legs to avoid damage and stall knowing he’d won the first 3 rounds
I don’t often disagree with your lists, but the NcGregor v Alvarez and the Nunes v Pena were extremely satisfying. While they may not have been the losers best performances, but they were exciting and satisfying nonetheless, imo at least.
The night Anderson got knocked out I was in jail. We all got to watch the prelims, and when I saw the results for the main card the next day I was confused. It said KO, but that Chris won. I thought for sure it was a typo.

I don't know who the new editor is but he's fucking killing it🔥🔥🔥
There are quite a few fights like this. GSP and Rockhold lost their belts because they overlooked Serra and Bisping, Aldo uncharacteristically running into McGregor's left hand in like 10 seconds, and Werdum running into Stipe's fist trying to brawl.
I thought I was having a stroke watching Rose’s fight.
Watching rose lose the belt was extremely satisfying.
Watching Charles lose the belt the moment he entered the cage was extremely dissatisfying.
The Aldo knock out was gold too. 👌
Holy shit, the clip of rose getting slammed on her head as you where hyping her up killed me ☠️ 🤣
I'm glad rose lost the belt. She don't fight like a champ. She fight like a prospect. I don't care how much you respect another person's wrestling, FIGHT FOR YO DAMN BELT 🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤣🤣
Theres also no "thug" in her. Shes as fragile as you can be and still be a pro fighter.
This video has made me laugh uncontrollably! Whoever edits is the winner of life! Hackerman!!!!! It came from nowhere! My eyes are streaming. I love you! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh look at that Izzy Adesanya just did the same thing
Rose would've lost to Andrade in the rematch if it was a 5 rounder, she was fading and beaten to a pulp.
Tbh I think the Rose loss just showed how delusional Pat and Rose are
6:00 Dean asked Woodley to trow combo's even though he never does🤣
Woodley was a victim of bad matchmaking while he held the title. Then age caught up with him. lol
He forgot how to fight when he figured he would turn rapper.
Woodley gets crazy recognition from that fight, an absolute war! Crazy I didn’t know Nate was juiced though
Rose lost a fan in me, that night And majorly hurt her legacy I’d say Joanna is the SW goat now
Fun fact: Prior to Rose vs. Carla 2, every strawweight champion who won the title won it by violent finish. Rose is absolutely to blame for breaking this beautiful tradition.
It wasn't just 115, every time a female title directly changed hands it was by finish.
Shout out to the editor of this video for real the clips and the jokes were on point
OK? So Weidman came with a gameplan.
McGregor vs Aldo ending in 13 seconds probably deserved a place here
That hackerman snippet had me die'n. Well done
The editing on this is gold

Cheers mate!
the editor went nuts this video good job.
Love seeing hometown hero's get taken down, the crowd reactions can be more entertaining than the fight

@@ramonh97ILY And her personality or gimmick.

Ronda Rousey fights like an Elden Ring player after discovering katanas. It’s all one strategy
Wait for the bounce back fight. They gave Ronda a benefit of the doubt after Holm but ultimately got shut down after that quick KO loss to Nunes
How did you forget about Couture vs Belfort? It's in like every other video
How was Juliana Peña standing up to and striking with Nunes, then ultimately choking her out dissatisfying? That was one of the most exciting outcomes I've experienced in a while.
I don't understand why people say that Tyron was one of the greatest ww. He is no where near of deserving that title.
Love the “NatureisMetal” shoutout
i love it when i see the title to a video and go “well i know what inspired this video”
The comments during the yan vs Sterling segment was hilarious.
Rose v. Carla 2 was a robbery!
Of my bank account for buying the PPV.
Steven Seagal truly taught Anderson to be a champ.
My mans types up an essay on youtube lmfao

The most baffling thing about the Rose fight is they genuinely still thought she did enough to win after the fact. Not like right after the fight when emotions were still high but days after they had time to watch and review the fight.
Rose had the nerve to say "Fuck yeah I'm the best!"

Amanda and Rose, their last fights were puzzling, indeed.
both yan Sterling fights were dissatisfying. sterling won that second fight by running away on the feet and just holding yan for control time when he got the takedown. once yan had adapted to it, sterling just kept diving for the legs to avoid damage and stall knowing he’d won the first 3 rounds

I don’t often disagree with your lists, but the NcGregor v Alvarez and the Nunes v Pena were extremely satisfying. While they may not have been the losers best performances, but they were exciting and satisfying nonetheless, imo at least.
