Never understood what was supposed to be so cool about destroying a guitar or any instrument for that matter. I grew up in the 80s and 90s and loved metal and eventually grunge- but I always hated to see musicians do this. It's just stupid- that's one thing I always loved about Tool- no gimmicks or stupid behavior trying to get attention.
It’s amazing to me that Dave Mustaine would fall prey to Gen Z morality and fire Elfson for having problems instead of standing by his friend and getting him help. Considering how Dave was in the past and all the BS he did when drunk you’d figure he’d be more understanding.
Dave stuff happened when he was younger, and it was drugs... being a 50 year old and getting caught in an internet sex scandal while married is completely different thing.
