    I got my friend into the game in the new years celebration and advised him to just open charizard packs at first aiming to get a full blaine deck, as its package is fully contained there, since weezing now requires mewtwo and mew packs and golem needs the geodude and brock from pika pack as well. He ended up not only getting the blaine deck, he also got a moltres ex on wonder pick and opened two chars ex in the packs. With the subcription free trial he could get the second moltres and get a solid start on the game. I myself started focusing on mewtwo packs and got a lilligant+venuEX deck day one that was my bread and butter until i was able to build stronger decks.
    He is definitely better now than i was when my account was just 5days old like his. Its just a shame he doesnt have an electric deck to farm blastoise but hes got two great decks for pvp.

    The amount of decks that are good right now is great.
    Misty and celebi can get annoying and Mewtwo with mew is silly but I love seeing the variety.

  • @DavionAngeles

    I have three free-to-play accounts, one for each pack. In my opinion, the Charizard pack offers the best value. I played the Charizard deck early on but initially chose the Pikachu pack to get Arcanine EX. Afterward, I focused exclusively on Charizard packs. The Charizard pack also includes the Greninja and Alakazam lines. Starmie EX and Exeggutor EX are powerful cards, though not the best. Blaine and Sabrina round out the Charizard pack, offering a variety of competitive deck-building options.
    In contrast, the Pikachu and Mewtwo packs mainly focus on their own decks. While those decks are arguably the strongest in the game, they don’t provide as much value outside of their core builds. Cards like Articuno EX, Marowak EX, and Weezing can create solid decks. The Pikachu pack does include Blastoise EX, Wigglytuff EX, and Arcanine EX, but these decks often required support from other packs to reach their full potential.
    Post-expansion, the Charizard pack becomes even stronger. Exeggutor EX pairs well with Celebi EX, while Gyarados EX synergizes with Greninja and Starmie EX. Greninja also gains more deck-building options from Mew, Flareon, Druddigon, and the new Fighting type Pokemon, further solidifying the Charizard pack’s value.

    For first week players, I suggest to target for these cards, specially on wonder picks, as these are the important staple cards and support-trainer cards from each of these packs that wouldn't be rotated out of meta as new set packs were introduced in the future:
    GA Charizard - Moltres Ex, Sabrina, Erika
    GA Pikachu - Misty, Brock
    GA Mewto - Giovanni
    Mythical Island - Druddigon, Mew Ex, Budding Expeditioner, Mythical Slab, Leaf, Blue
    I recommend to focus on one of these packs on your first week (dont pick different packs, but focus on one):
    1.) GA Mewtwo - It has good decks to build for the first week such as Fighting deck like Marowak Ex (with Farfetch and Sandslash). If your are lucky you might be able to build top meta deck like Mewtwo Ex-Gardevior deck.
    2.) GA Charizard - Fire deck pokemon for the first week is also good, specially if you were able to pull Rapidash, Ninetails, Magmar, Blaine. If you are lucky to pull Moltres Ex, you might even go with good ol Charizard deck for the first week deck.
    Other pokemons as mentioned in this video is also good.
    3.) GA Pikachu - Yes. This pack sucks outside Pikachu Ex, Zapdos Ex and the staples like Misty and Brock.
    Once you're good on one of GA packs (around 30 pack pulls) you may switch to Mythical Island pack to get needed supplementary cards and staple cards.

    I have found decent success with 2 moltres Ex and two arcanine Ex cards. Moltres sets up my arcanine well. I have two ponyta/rapidash in there just for consistent, quick damage. The rest are item/trainer support cards. Bodies the AI and solid against other players. I like the synergy between moltres and arcanine. Arcanine also being a stage 1 helps.
    My advice is find cards with synergy between each other.

    • @PauloRicardo-fb8do
      @PauloRicardo-fb8do 17 дней назад

      Ive seen some people run ninetales and blaine in moltres decks, which makes sense because it enjoys having the extra energy to burn, but a rapidash? Sounds kinda counterproductive as when the rapidash is on the active spot, moltres isnt ramping other pokemon, and when moltres has only ponyta in the bench to ramp, its not really useful. So many basics messes your pokeball draws and i think youre better off just running moltres and arcanines. Maybe like two fossils for sabrina protection since it doesnt start in your opening hand neither is drawn off pokeball

    • @maguirebentz797
      @maguirebentz797 17 дней назад

      @ I like rapidash for low retreat costs and low energy cost for damage. Mainly for start of a game. Put pressure while I wait for the arcanine and growlithe combo or a moltres. Apply pressure, maybe snag a KO on a basic, retreat asap. I prefer arcanine ex over ninetales for damage. Nothing else fills the niche for bulky enough quick stop gap like rapidash imo. The way you described it is indeed counterintuitive. But it’s more useful than a growlithe sans arcanine imo. It’s a means to bide time, never late game or mid game even.

  • @felyne1527
    @felyne1527 17 дней назад

    Before watching the video I'm gonna make my list:
    Top 1: Mew pack: Celebi ex, serperior, Gyarados ex, Mew ex, Golem, Marshadow, Druddigon, Tauros, The Psy Stone, The explorator, Blue, Leaf
    Top 2: Pikachu pack: Arcanine ex, Pikachu ex, Zapdos ex, Misty, Broke
    Top 3: Mewtwo pack: Artikuno ex, Mewtwo ex, Gardevoir, Hitmonlee, Giovanni
    Top 4: Charizars pack: Exeggutor ex, Charizard ex, Moltres ex, Staross ex, Greninja, Erika, Sabrina
    I think Mew deck is by far the best with that amount of strong cards
    The rest are pretty close, I put pikachu pack in 2nd mostly because Pikachu is probably the best deck right now + Misty is >>> for water decks
    Mewtwo in 3rd (could also have been 2nd) because Mewtwo is also a top deck, Gardevoir is a top tier energy accelerator and giovanni is also a staple
    Charizard is for me the worst one because there is no ex at the same level as pikachu, mewtwo or like gyarados, I think the most important cards in this pack are Sabrina, Greninja and Erika

      @flaminggorilla909 17 дней назад

      @@thebigbean8783 starmie is a trap. Not as good as ya think I promise. Pika is just so consistently good if you make good decisions. There are a bunch of good Tauros marshadow decks that have potential.

    • @thebigbean8783
      @thebigbean8783 17 дней назад

      @flaminggorilla909 you promise? As I've played at least 50 games with it, and have a very healthy win percentage. I got 8 wins in a row on the latest win streak event. Also, I think marshadow is deeply overrated. Pikachu is great though, don't get me wrong. I use it a lot, and have for some time

    • @flaminggorilla909
      @flaminggorilla909 17 дней назад

      @thebigbean8783 I mean marshadow does well in tournament win percentage and starmie massively underperforms. Starmie is definitely a pub stomper. Overall it's def not as good as a well made Tauros/marshadow deck.

    • @venxerheim1848
      @venxerheim1848 16 дней назад +1

      Starmie Ex is flat out good. Even better than Pikachu Ex at sheer stats. The weakness though of Starmie Ex is being stage 1 and it's basic Staryu just having 50hp, which is very exposed to be 1-shot killed when in the active zone by fast hitters like lucky-coinflipped MI Mankey/MI Ponyta, Giovanni-ed Farfetch/GA Ponyta.
      This is where Pikachu Ex shines by being basic (pokeball-able) and having 120hp upfront. Pikachu Ex biggest weakness though is it's reliance on bench (ie. bench count or at least Zapdos Ex backup).

    • @Huangcolin
      @Huangcolin 15 дней назад +1

      @venxerheim1848 starmie is good but because pikachu is around starmie can't shine. Starmie doesn't mesh well with the other water cards. With articuno it just straight up loses to pikachu ex, and there is no answer for mewtwo unless it's an early lucky misty.
      With gyrados and/or vaporean it is too slow. With grenjnja it isn't consistent enough.
      The other guy is right starmie is a pub stomper I used to play that deck exclusively - have probably around 80-100 wins with it, but right now my favorite decks are the hitmonlee/marshadow variants to counter the meta and executor EX + almost anything (mew/tauros, celebi, beedrill, etc).
