Absolutely stunning! So much skill, so much dedication to quality and so much respect for one's materials, no wonder Japanese craftsmen are far better than most.
This house is art. Its a beautiful representation of how traditional craftsmanship can elevate modern design. Kojima-san should be very proud of what he's built. This is so much better than the typical prefab plastic houses being constructed in Japan today. I really love the custom furniture you built, and the yakisugi exterior finish Kojima-san applied to the exterior. Well done!
Well, sometimes a person is technically skilled as a carpenter and sometimes they are skilled as a designer. More unusual is someone like yourself who is both good at design and the technical aspects of carpentry. Beautiful work.
When I was a kid, dad taught me framing with the tools he used; chisels, saws and a hammer. Studs were checked into plates and timber bracing into the studs. Not sure you'd get the same satisfaction nowadays when the go to tool is a nail gun.
Thise shelves are beautiful, your work is just excellent and i wish i could have you fit out our scandinavian granny flat but Tasmania is too far away. Ps, your english subtitles are brilliant.
모든 영상을 다 시청하고 있는 한국인 입니다. 목조건물의 최장점인 나무결의 아름다움를 너무 잘 살려내 자연안에서 숨쉬며 살수 있게 해주는것 같아 너무 좋습니다. 그러나 한편으론 너무 획일화 된것 같아. 요즘 젊은 여성들 취향엔 좀 아닌것 ..... 틀을 조금씩 벗어났으면 .... 이집 또한 모든걸 붙박이로 벽에 고정시켜 놓아 몇십년 이상 살아갈 집인데 변화를 집주인들이 직접 줄수가 없을것 같습니다. 가구위치. 책장위치.수전위치 몇십년 살면 지루하게 느껴지는것들을 집주인들이 직접 위치 변화를 줄수 있음 참 좋겠습니다. 전통적인 일본집 너무 좋지만 같은 공간이라도 개방감있게 넓어 보이면서 실용적인 가구배치면 더 좋아보일것 같습니다. 처음 글에 주제넘게 초보가 너무 많은 글을 올려 죄송합이다.

私は古い人間ですが我が家を建てるには私の勤務する会社の一番の下請けに全く丸投げで立てて貰いました、設計も下請けの飲み仲間の様な人、電気水道も全て気心の知れた下請けばかりでしたが、完成し住んでから廻りの土地に次々建てられていく”何とか”ホームを見ていて、「何じゃあこりゃあ！」っと思いました中でも軽量鉄骨造りの家は、ボルト止めが一つ抜けどころか二つも三つも間を開けて止めてある？手抜きも良い所！そしてツウバイフォーとかはただ板を釘で貼り合わせて行くだけの作り？これが家だなんて信じられませんでした、しかしこの家なら百年は間違いなく持ちこたえるでしょう、良い物を見せて貰いました。
素晴らしい作品です！そのような家を買うのはほとんど不可能なのはドイツだけだ。このような建築家が設計した住宅は、通常のハウスメーカーには手の届かないものです。ベルリンでは不動産価格と居住空間の平方メートル当たりの価格が劇的に上昇した。ベルリンの特定の地区では、床材 1 平方メートルあたり約 4,200 ユーロの費用がかかります。ここにある家の家具をオーダーメイドすることは、ドイツではもはや不可能、または実現不可能です。ドイツはロシアに制裁を課しており、その結果、建設業や個人の住宅建設のための多くの建築資材や原材料が不足し、非常に高価になっている。
