Oh man, I can totally relate to what you said in the first part of the video! Sometimes me and my PAX are just in awe by a beautiful sunset and the cockpit goes quiet for minutes and minutes. It is such a privilege to fly... And indeed, what a brilliant 360 mate, hitting your own wake, haha! 👌🏻

Flying is a deeply personal thing, something that you have described incredibly eloquently Tim. I'm sure you have had a huge impact in shaping many people's lives as a head teacher, grandfather and as a pilot, something to be truly proud of. Beautiful drone shots at the start followed by a serene flight. That landing by EDGE was rather nice at the end. Well done on nailing your turn. Looking forward to the next video, Mr. Palmer 😉

I was just thinking, that's a very nice level turn, when you mentioned flying through your own wake! The best time of the day to fly. Thank you for your videos.
Hi Tom, lovely vlog. We all need those special moments just to have a little reset and being in our own space and and being at peace in our own way, sometimes not for long but just long enough to do the job.
Tim, very nice, relaxed evening flight. Sometimes flights are so absorbing that it distracts from the outside world. In other cases the flight is so straightforward that it is like meditation and your mind can wander, whilst still doing everything needed to fly safe. I hope you do a few more flights into Great Oakley soon, if only because I hope to be based there as soon as my aircraft is overhauled. Regards, Mark.

As always, a great video. Your initial flight looked like a dream, and lovely to see aircraft visiting. Shame you didn't show some of the people - after all flying is as much about the people!
Thank you very much Chris. I was busy making them tea and coffee before they had to leave before curfew but i also have to be careful because not everyone wants to be filmed.
I always try to leave a comment because I think that since you made the effort to make the video, I should show appreciation in some way. It indeed looked like a remarkably smooth Sunday flight. I watched the horizon during your 360 turn and though "Oh that's pretty accurate" and then you mentioned you flew through your own wake turbulance. That made sense. I agree that flying LAA permit aircraft could make someone a better pilot, in as much as they are very aware of the aircraft's condition and limitations. More so, I suspect, than someone who flies a club aircraft maintained by someone else. Although that could be a matter of contention for some. It was nice to see Nayland busy. I can't help thinking that the planning regulations you operate under, would create a bottle-neck of noise when people all have to leave by a certain time. That seems counterproductive to the intent of the regs. Then again, whatever the hour there would probably be a take-off rush before "closing time".
Thank you Robert. I do appreciate that you comment on every video and look forward to your feedback. Planning restrictions are not very kind to us but we try to make it work. There is an added complication to the take off restrictions and that is we are only allowed 5 take offs in any one hour!
