My heart goes out to you. You deserve the kind of safe connection and touch that you are seeking. We live in a world with a lot of wounded people with toxic mindsets and toxic behavior. It’s clear that you’ve worked hard on yourself, and I hope you get the kind of healing love that you deserve. Touch is a basic human need, so don’t let anyone shame you for feeling that need. Coming from healing PSSD, that’s a big deal! Sending Love to you!!! ❤

I'm 67 yrs old female and I feel that these dating sites are full of men on the prowl. I was always told that if you go looking for love, you will never find it. I became a widow age 26 years old and was aware of the ticking clock and every weekend I would go out with my girlfriends in the hope of meeting another man. My husband had been caring and loving. The men I encountered for years were selfish, cheating, except for one man with a child. I tried to love him but I couldn't. So, I went off to Germany for 6 months age 31 years old to have a change. I worked in a hotel and I went out with other colleagues to a bar. A man walked into that bar and I never took my eyes off him, willing him to sit at our table. He and his friends did...we have been married for 30 years, The universe will send you someone when the time is right.

I am so impressed with your ability to be open about such a vulnerable topic. I can also see such a transformation in you and healing.
I have watched your videos for going on 3 years now, I tell you my heart is leaping for the possibility of love and connection for you. I am encouraged to even hear that attraction has returned for you. Keep the faith that someone special is out there for you! I’ll be sending positive energy your way. No one is meant to spend a life alone… you have been living it well for years now but I pray the desire of your heart is met. Kiss as many frogs as you need to- your prince is out there! He will find the best version of you that you have ever been!

Great video. Thank you for sharing this. I have PSSD and have had no attraction or libido for 18 months now. Seems like you've emerged through the PSSD but been hit with the whirlwind that is online dating and navigating the complexities of that. Keep at it. I know you will make progress because you generally seem to!

Thank you so much for sharing. I really relate to this. I'm sorry you've been hurt in your efforts to find connection. That's something I'm really missing in my life too. The last time I tried online dating was 2006 and I did not enjoy it at all. Everything I've heard about it since then has made me not want to try it again. But I also don't feel anywhere near ready to date again. I'm hoping I'll just meet someone organically when the time is right but we shall see.

dating apps are good in the sense that they put you in contact with people who want to date so it's a focused group and you don't have to guess and when you meet you know what's up, but a lot are looking for sex only, just hook ups, or only capable of hook ups - damaged goods right? But those of us that have been damaged by psychiatric medication are also damaged goods, so there you go.

Your a loving innocent, kind good person. The dating scene today is the pits. It’s not you Angie. There are very few and far between good men around. Try and learn how to pick of flags with respect to Narcissism. You need to learn how to navigate around the messed up social scene. It used to be a lot easier in my time. The younger women really need to protect themselves- but have faith. You must speak and meet up in person in safe surroundings. If they disappear they are a waste of your time.
Look for a man who is mature and really wants a lifetime and partner. It’s not you Sweetheart, your fine! You have wade your way through a jungle until you find a good one- that’s honest and sincere!
Yes. Guard your heart- you are an intelligent, wise, beautiful young woman.
Go where men go, do things where you are more likely to meet someone in real time. Not on a computer

The insidiousness and gaslighting destroyed my "sex Life". Also the insidious of it is I don't even care. My central nervous system or limbic system, has destroyed the need to procreate. And I feel no need to procreate in this condition (and shouldn't).
Fighting that just makes it worse, acceptance is key... For me as a male. This is by far the longest I've went without coiutus since I lost my virginity. 16/41
On the Army side, way are you living the nomad life? 100% P&T, Plus CRSC? I've read lot's of vets are doing this...I can barely leave my house or sometimes my own room! Driving is now a curse. Non stop fight or flight, where is the exit! So maybe the question is how?

    • @AngiePeacockMSW
      @AngiePeacockMSW  8 месяцев назад

Yes 100% P&T I keep forgetting to apply for CRSC. How? My mind adapted to my RV as my comfort zone. The first year on the road I couldn’t even talk to people or drive over bridges. I wanted to jump in the Grand Canyon. Slowly it has helped me heal. No joke.

No advice just extreme empathy for your recent bad relationship experiences. I am there. Age 60 but I am there. I tried in my fifties...got married and divorced twice to the same guy. My sex drive was zero and it played a huge role in our divorce(s). I didn't realize the drugs were killing my sex drive along with menopause. Ugh. My only advice is to hang out with people you like...and something good should come from that. The people on dating apps are pure junk. IMHO. Xoxoxoxo. You deserve love ... of course you do. Settling for less is a waste of precious time on earth.

You’re exactly right just be patient, my last girlfriend left me because of my illness with medication and what not, left me for somebody else. I’ve always had trust issues, especially after that, I didn’t know what I was gonna do, then I met my new girlfriend out of nowhere and honestly I wouldn’t know what to do without her. There’s still trust issues, but all I’m trying to say is be patient and that person will show up. you deserve it. Stay strong.

I hear this soo much Angie.. people tell me to love myself the whole time.. it’s not about that for everyone! It’s almost like gaslighting.. because what they should really say is yeah.. there’s some shitty people out there and the dating world has changed loads! The casual swiping.. or non commitment.. lots of confused people out there. It’s easy to doubt yourself, after the knock backs.. I had a huge one! After i stabilised I met a guy on bumble was with him for a year.. he told me he wanted commitment. And a family.. but nope suddenly he bailed 2 weeks before I’m about to move in 😅.. that wasn’t me not loving myself as he was being ‘ loving ‘ that was me meeting someone shitty .. it made me feel
So so bad about myself.. I’m on the apps too 😮 phone call before is 💯 needed! But it just takes one! There’s just looooaddddzzzzz of bad eggs x

You have worth. You always have. Your brain went into a coma. Your brain woke up in a different time. Our society and our culture has changed for the worst. You have survived so much and not everybody would have. You’re worth more than you’ve been getting. I wish you only the best. We have all been collateral damage to profit and power. I am making plans to leave the US. I wish you the best of luck. You can be comfortable being alone but humans aren’t meant to. It’s in our DNA. Being disconnected to society is the cruelest part of all. I have faith in you.

Guard your heart . And , I will tell you that being alone is far better than being with someone is not spiritually well ! You are lovely and surely you will find the right person to connect with . Perhaps online dating is not the way to go about finding a companion. Yoga , spiritual meditation groups or even hiking groups might be a better way . Sending great healing vibes !

You described what it’s like to date as an autistic. Try social dancing like swing dance or salsa dance if you don’t have any other option but warning it will tear you away from dating. Also the lame truth is that it’s your age. Women over 40 are all walking around wondering what the hell happened and where are all the men. It’s still possible though! My mom had a second relationship and another kid at 44 with mom problems and had fun and a lot of success.
