This movie is soooooo underrated. It is a bittersweet favorite of mine. So many ironies and plot twists. Stellar acting by everyone. My wife had surgery for a brain tumor and so much of this behavior was reflected in her. She suffered four strokes before she passed so this holds an extremely deep place in my heart. It is a lesson for people who act indifferently to others.

Talking about favorite characters, am I the only one who found Kamian Allen (Rachel) adorable? Just her innocent look, with no pretensions, made me want to adopt her. Just a quiet, loving daughter, who brought a lot to the story because Henry first had to learn to have fun with her, then ultimately rescue her from the school. I found her adorable in the same way I found Jena Malone (young Ellie) adorable in "Contact."
I saw this when I was 18 and wasn't a fan of movies like this but because it was Harrison Ford I had to see it. It turned out I loved it, and to my surprise I learned some really good lessons that became part of me. I just watched it today again at age 51. I learned new things that at 18 I couldn't see. That's the thing about age and experience that allow us to see what we couldn't before. Also, I have always loves Harrison Ford's subtle facial expressions, but here he lives by those expressions and he definitely communicates a LOT!
So happy to find someone reacting to this underrated movie! I never see anyone else talking about it, but I really liked it! It's a quiet story, but very enjoyable. Seeing his change towards people and life after his accident is heartwarming. And Annette Benning is great in this. I was happy to see an actress in this that got to show a warmer side to her! His secretary was most known to me from the movie 9-5 with Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton, and Jane Fonda. But she was a real pain in that movie LOL. So nice to see her in a role where she got to be warmer and more likable. ~Caroline
I think this is highly underrated movie. I've been trying to find someone reviewing it but this is the first time I've found anyone. Great reaction as always! This is one of my favorite Harrison Ford movies.
Watched this in the theater when it came out. I was 11 abd a huge Harrison Ford fan. It is a hugely underrated film, and gets lost in his amazing filmography. Thanks for the reaction to this greatly unknown film.
I understand your crying in this movie. I cry every time I see it. Not because of any happy or sad moments but because I lived the blue collar version of this movie. This movie really captured the reality of the situation. I too had to relearn everything from feeding myself, getting dresses, go to the bathroom, everything.
I like Annette Bening in everything I’ve seen her in. Two of my favourite movies with her in them is “The American President” with Michael Douglas and “Open Range” with Kevin Costner. I will add I was watching this reaction okay right until Toni got emotional and I got a bit teary eyed myself. Apparently I’m a bit of a softie as well.
What a refreshing & pleasant surprise for a reaction channel to take on this movie! So many fine movies out there that NOBODY lands on for a reaction, clinging instead to the tunnel vision of the herd. Yes, I like the popular movies too, but how many Star Wars/Lord of the Rings/Forrest Gump reaction videos does the world need?!?!? Anyway....I saw this in the theatre when it came out & have loved it ever since. THANK YOU! 😊 👍🏻

The hotel, not the crackers Bradley thought he was talking about. I need to watch this movie again. I actually over played/watched after the first time I saw it and then it fell into being just a memory. More reactors need to see this movie! Take care, Toni and David!!
David! Now you're giving away your age! You're doing a movie that is too old for most reactors, but right up my alley of "best movies I ever saw." This is one of two terrific movies that were directed by the same director, and they both had me in tears. And NO ONE, BUT NO ONE is doing them. It's becoming apparent to me that reactors all watch each other because I'll see the same movie done in one week by ten reactors. Unfortunately more reactors aren't going off half-cocked and doing something just because they thought it was a good movie. (Example: I just watched a reaction for "The Natural." Fanstastic, moving movie...reacted to by just one reactor.) Mike Nichols directed this, and he also directed "Working Girl," which I think would be very moving and relatable for anyone who's ever tried to get a job in corporate America. Anyhoo...good choice. :)
I watched this movie with my parents when I was about 8 years old. Harrison Ford is widely known as an action star, but I also love seeing him in touching roles like this one and Witness.
Fantastic!! I was going to suggest this! This is a very sweet movie. Too many of these will undoubtedly cause Dave a bit of diabetes. 😊🤣 So...keep in mind there are SO MANY films that have equally great stories, but include a bit of intrigue, even crime, courtroom drama, etc., without all the blood and guts. ie...storylines and dialogue. We already have a dog, a guinea pig and fish. 😂 I liked this movie too. Your man card is safe. 😎 -David
