  • In this video I go through the steps to make a medieval-esque hood, with dagging along the cape, and a liripipe at the end. I used a black embroidered linen as the main fabric, and a bright, rainbow flower cotton as the lining.

Hey! Thank you for posting this! I’m nowhere NEAR being able to make videos of my own, but yours has a structure for how do SAY how you’re doing things you’re doing?? Anyways it’s really helpful to watch videos where the sewer just has measurements, chalk and angles and where the person making the video can actually put into words how those measurements come together to actually make something a beginner can understand. I’m not sure if that makes sense-I totally just woke up-but basically I think your videos might help me be able to teach when people ask me to😅♥️

hello, excellently done! I also want to make this myself, but I'm a beginner. The only video with liner I found is your video. I would like to have liner too, but it's not quite clear to me what to sew together so that it can turn around in the end. I would still be able to sew it from one layer.

Thank you! So I sewed all the seams of the lining to the matching seams of the main fabric with the sides I ultimately wanted to face out on the inside. I left the back seam of the lining unsewn, then I used that open seam to flip everything rightside out once I'd snipped all the curves and nipped all the corners. Then I hand sewed the back seam up.

This is amazing! How many yards of fabric did this take?

1 and 1/3 for the fashion fabric, 1 for the lining because it's split into pieces
