Funny thing is, this particular Brazilian funk is actually very tame and family-friendly compared to the amount of gritty and mature content of other funk songs released practically every week or so. And speaking of Brazil... eeeeeeehhhh the new government is filled with a bunch of crazy people that shouldn't be there, that's all I can say without provoking further flame wars.
The new brazilian government is full of fundamentalist christians, anti-science, anti-vaccine and don't give a shit about the environment. Most of them deny the global warming.
Not just Brazil. USA; Venezuela, Mexico, Ecuador, Iran, China and MANY other countries in the world are filled ti the brim with twats in the political institutions. I know better, I was born in Venezuela
With regards to the China thing... Taiwan: The issue can be heavily oversimplified to whether or not Taiwan is an independent country or part of China, but it goes far deeper than that. Taiwan's government is actually the original Nationalist (KMT) government of the Republic of China, which ruled over the mainland up until they lost the Chinese Civil War, and were forced to retreat to Taiwan. Now, the Mainlanders (Communist Party of China) insist that Taiwan is theirs even though they have never even set foot (figuratively speaking) on the island. Hong Kong: I'm sure as a fellow Brit you'll know a bit about Hong Kong. We were once a colony of yours when the Qing Dynasty lost the Opium Wars; unfortunately, the treaty signed at the end of the First Opium War stipulated a 99 year lease on Hong Kong's New territories instead of an outright ceding; after 99 years, HK was a massively different place (being ruled by another power for a century, and subsequently dodging the disasters of Mao's Great Leap Forward *and* the horrors of the Cultural Revolution will do that to a place), and the result of being handed over to a dictatorship is that now there is an increasingly large separatist/autonomist movement in Hong Kong (at one set of protests, there were people waving Colonial Flags in protest of the CPC). Tibet: the CPC forcibly annexed Tibet in the 1950's, and lets just say that hasn't gone over well with either the local population, nor the international community who disagrees with the idea of a nation trampling right over the sovereignty of another before forcibly annexing it's territory into their own. The CPC's incredibly shaky and quite frankly flimsy justification is some convoluted explanation of ancient claims based on previous Imperial Dynasties that annexed Tibet at various points. Due to various political, geographical and economic reasons, China really doesn't want to let go of Tibet.
You think Saudi Arabia is a bit mad at Pikachu for the seizure incident? They'd be some of the few people who are outrightly outraged at Porygon being incorrectly blamed and banned.
Can I just confirm as an Austrlain: No, I have no idea why Australia is so hard on video games. Not a gaddamn clue. What I can tell you, however, is that we do have an "R" rating for 18+ content. *Which just makes it more confusing when shit gets banned*
Yea here in Australia it's definitely a strange decision indeed however a short walk through Melbourne will probably shed some light on the whole graffiti subject. As soon as graffiti is removed, it can at times be replaced within the hour and this is just outside the main train station in the city. I live In Adelaide and the only structures that remain graffiti free are war memorials. Everything else gets the squiggly crap graffiti.
Censorship laws are weird in general, especially when they largely differ from country to country. Like I remember certain scenes in South Park: The Stick of Truth just being entirely censored in certain places. But if it allows these games to be in the public eye, then so be it. It’s just too bad that some aspects of it have to be axed as a result. But when a game is outright banned, then it unfortunately gives it less exposure and makes certain people have to jump through hoops just to get it.
@@greedow They'd put stereotypical things about the country as a cover then would talk shit about the people that censored them and then would explain what was happening.
Yep, I'm a Christian, and lots of my Christian friends grew up with Pokemon. It's not like all (or even most) Christians ever really did, honestly. Just a very, very loud minority. Like most things, it depends on the person, rather than the group. And no, Gen 8 won't change that.
Hahaha ehh no..no they haven't..there are still nutjobs screaming about it being evil and bla bla bla..I just think people have stopped paying attention to that tiny group for now because they have started to understand they are retarded. You would have thought they had figured that out when they started bitching about DnD but for some reason that isn't the case.
angryguy9000 but seriously you could find those games on his “top five great games nobody bought” because basically all of the titles on that list suffered because they were released on poor selling consoles.
Christianity vs Pokemon was always an overexaggerated battle, as far as I can tell. I'm a Christian (from Texas, no less), and a lot of my Christian friends actually grew up as pretty hardcore Pokemon fans. I've never personally heard anyone in real life say Pokemon is evil. Those people certainly exist, but thankfully, it seems to just be a very, very vocal minority. It depends on the person, rather than the group. And goodness knows there's crazies in any group.
I think this is something more people could do to understand. Like any religion, there are those nuts that make everything worse for everyone else, but I’d say the majority are relatively normal people just trying to make their way
Yeah, it's the nuts who have made this a thing. A couple people or small groups crusade after Pokemon in the name of Christianity and everyone misinterprets them as actually representing Christianity.
In my experience, it was mostly older folks as well as fundamentalists that went apeshit over Pokemon being 'evil.' I just chalked it up to them not understanding hobbies/fads.
Islam has a disproportionate amount of nutjobs in their religion. It is the most sexist, homophobic, racist religion I know of. Are there normal chill Muslims? Sure but they're mainly ones who live over this side of the world. Good luck finding a chill Muslim in Syria or Pakistan. Also I hope he was being sarcastic but I didn't notice any sarcasm in his voice when he said it.

There are no good reason to ban games. The end. It doesn't matter if it is overly violent, retardedly bad, offensive like all hell or even propaganda..It should still be allowed censoring is not nessesary! Now giving a small warning and not allowing it to be sold to children is all find and dandy but censoring and banning is the same as bookburning...You should be allowed these games in any country even if a few people get offended by them. Why does them being butthurt mean we shouldn't get to play the game and choose for ourself rather it was worth being butthurt about? (That being said the second they start breaking laws by including stuff like real life murder in a cutscene that is another case and some work is honestly just better after being censored..because we dont need to see a 10 year old girl with double D's...but that isnt really the point)
"What did Pikachu ever do to you? He's such a good boy." Did you try playing Smash Ultimate online? Most of the time you get your ass kicked by a plant or a small rodent.
As a Brazilian, I feel offended by the ending. What do you mean I need to get out and play football? Also, there's an interesting detail on the Episodes of Liberty City fiasco: the game only got banned not because it has a unlicensed song, but rather because said song was sang by a minor. The Ministério Público (the equivalent of the prosecutors on other countries) is the entity that protects the needs of certain categories of people and interests, such as seniors, the environment and, relevant to the question, kids. Since they can't act on their own, because kids below 16 need the supervision of the parents to enter with the action, the MP entered with a class action just to ban the game until the problem is solved, because that kid was singing profanities, and we can't have those in our beloved football-loving country.
The idea of GTA poisoning the minds of children makes me double over in laughter. When I was a kid/young teen playing these games, I would *purposely* drive sensibly. I stopped at every red light, let pedestrians cross, used stop signs.. To this day I have no idea why, but hey. There you go. Poisoning my mind to obey traffic laws!
WHile I don't think it was banned, I do recall Winnie the Pooh in KH3 being 'censored' in CHina because apparantly the leader couldn't take a joke and outright BANNED winnie the pooh all because people kept comparing him to winnie

Pretty sure there have been way more christianity bitching about videogames than any other religions. America seems to be the one bitching the most about violent and sexual games compared to any other country and a ton of people in America are even blaming the games for school shootings. Could also just be because you hear more about it compared to the other countries but christianity is most certainly part of that bitching.
@@perw12345 I mean there aren't exactly that many Jews compared to either of those religions..Even if they were to bitch about it it would be such a small amount of people that we would most likely barely hear about it.
@@bibbobella It's not just videogames, Christianity has all these followers with the biggest persecution paranoia I've seen. Wasn't Ni no Kuni, a single player game with absolutely no online elements that I can recall, banned in South Korea for having gambling mechanics in the form of a casino that it is absolutely impossible to spend real world money on.
An idea for a list: Best games to go into completely blind. Even if it's not possible with the popularity of Doki Doki and Undertale, I think it'd be an interesting topic. Sorry if it limits what you can talk about. Another idea: Best first bosses in games. You did opening levels, maybe bosses that accomplish the same effect or simply highest quality first bosses. They may be easy in retrospect but did a great job of introducing the player to mechanics.
Maybe something like... Top Unnecessary Moments in Games Have you ever played a part of a game that just honestly... led nowhere? Or there was no point to it. Stuff like that but I would make it a rule that it can't be a side quest or something like that, it has to be part of the main story. I don't know, it'd be a good idea to expand on.
I don't think he mentioned, but R18+ rating was introduced in Australia like 6 years ago, so the "all 18+ games are banned in Australia" hasn't been a thing for a while
Speaking of Australia, their most inexplicable ban had to be on the Atelier series for "sexual violence," when there's practically zero sexual content in the entire series. For reference, those games are rated PG in most other countries, including its neighbor, New Zealand. What's more ironic is that they gave Senran Kagura, a game where you rip one another's clothes, a PG rating.

As an brazilian, that ending is gold and incredibly accurate, also, 10 years ago more or less, our culture representant in the government said that video games aren't culture, but songs that sexualize woman, talk about drugs, thug life, cheating and basically saying that parties are THE way of life are the best culture ever, this country is so stupid.
From my very limited knowledge, Australia is so strict on games because they're not considered as art and aren't allowed to get away with things "real art" can
8:51 Oh, it my country! Also for the record, we do have an R18+ rating now. Which has helped more games come in here (I mean I could preorder Mortal Kombat X because of it!), so stuff is a bit "more lax" now. Although we're still getting shit censored. I mean, We Happy Few was banned for a while (it's not anymore), although it's given an R18+ now. Also 10:11 is a lie we need to destroy *SCOTT MORRISON THAT SWINE!*
Happy Pokemon is on here, didn't know of the whole training card ban, but Did you know that Pokemon was banned in South Korea for nearly a few years, and limited Pokemon in general all the way until January 2004?
A few things about the state of Australia you mentioned: We have had an R18+ rating since 2013. Some old hardarse by the name of Michael Atkinson refused to give us a rating whilst he still had the power to prevent it, despite everyone else wanting it. Him giving up his seat was what initiated the push for an R18+ rating. Our government is rubbish. We have had 5 Prime Ministers in the last 10 years (who are supposed to have 4 year terms each), and it looks as though the Liberals will lose control during this year's election. Also, the fact that Mark Echo was banned was outcried quite a bit when it happened. Some major outlets pointed out that Need For Speed: Most Wanted, a game that can very easily be seen to glorify street racing, was released with a cozy General rating, whilst Marc Echo was banned outright. If Marc Echo had been released properly, it probably would have been given a MA15+ rating pretty easily. And if it had been rereleased today, I'd wager it would only be hit with a M rating (equivalent to a 12 rating in Europe).
I see so many things being outlawed or banned or just downright hated in Saudi Arabia. Metal music, a fair share of video games, even a good amount of movies aren't allowed there. If you live there, I'm sure it's a nice place to visit, but all of those bans to me just say, "Stay away."
I know you've probably heard this a bunch, but can you put the game being shown for the transitions and the music being played during the transitions in the video description? Thanks man, love your work!

+Lil Roo Which makes you a humorless, brain-dead moron. Not only is the "joke" as funny as a chainsaw to the dick, but people don't subscribe to a RUclips channel simply because the uploader asks them to. They subscribe because of their CONTENT, they like it and they wish to see more of it.
And let's not forget about the corrupt politicians and ministers.
The subscribe insert was hilarious today. This was a perfect example of how to do this sort of thing
Wow so Australia was afraid of gamers rising up.
Can I just confirm as an Austrlain:
No, I have no idea why Australia is so hard on video games.
I also remember that the way they censored it was just hilarious.
don't remember exactly what it was, but it was great
@@greedow They'd put stereotypical things about the country as a cover then would talk shit about the people that censored them and then would explain what was happening.
Aus is guilty of that, we got the crying koala that showed up early in this video
Rabbid always has very good and interesting topics that i really don't see others do.
Luckily with Number 4, Christianity has stopped with the whole “Pokémon is evil” thing.
Yep, I'm a Christian, and lots of my Christian friends grew up with Pokemon. It's not like all (or even most) Christians ever really did, honestly. Just a very, very loud minority. Like most things, it depends on the person, rather than the group.
And no, Gen 8 won't change that.
Well, to be honest Christianity in general never cared about Poke'mon. Just a minority of loudmouths getting on social media these days.
Nah, those nimrods never stop.
I remember everyone in my first elementary school hated Pokémon because it was a religious school

Sorta like a sequel to your 4th-wall-breaking video.
5:31 "Generally a hardy religion that doesn't care too much what people think of it."
Erm...what? Islam? Are we talking about the same Islam?
Every religion has extremists but every religion also has normal chill people. But I took it as sarcasm on his part
@@God_gundam36 It is literally illegal to draw their prophet in any muslim country.

I've been saying "subscribble" for years. I am finally validated.
I really love how you've turned the stereotypical 'like and subscribe' spiel done by everyone ever into a joke, and I always look forward to seeing how and where you insert it in your videos.
the unique ways you add the "subscribe and like" message into your videos are amazing
5:30 "Islam. Generally a hearty religion that doesn't care too much about what other people think of it." That is some god-tier sarcasm right there.
They really don't care about what other people say or think of them. They want to equally murder, torture and rape everyone that is not a muslim.
I swear you are getting very creative with those like and subscribe portions of your videos... and I love it.
These really are stupid reasons to ban games
Yeah well humans are pretty stupid.
That’s... That’s the point of the video
It pretty pointless banning any games these days anyhow.
Transition music is good though, anybody know what it's from?

The first time the glorious rabbidluigi outro has been censored.
Just wanated to say that you're a thinking man, RL, and your monologues are well-written and a pleasure to listen to. Thanks and keep up the good job!
Hey, nice touch using a portuguese messagem at the end. As a brazilian, I'm really glade using it as a claver joke.
The idea of GTA poisoning the minds of children makes me double over in laughter. When I was a kid/young teen playing these games, I would *purposely* drive sensibly. I really like how you sneak the "subsrcibe to me" bit somwhere in the middle of your videos as part of joke instead of dumping it either at the end or beginning. Your descriptions under your video are also novel, and much nicer to read than ones that just happen to be the first paragraph of the videos script like some people do (lazy oafs lol)

Over here in Australia, we have (Finally!) introduced the R18+ rating, which, ironically, was opposed on "Think of the children" grounds - no hyperbole
Australia isn't that bad, I can't think of many games that have been banned or censored recently. Well, there was that one time a hindu felt offended at Shin Megami Tensei for how they depicted Krishna, but in general it's always the Abrahamic religions.
Especially islam and christianity, jews really don't give a shit outside of israel.

Have you ever played a part of a game that just honestly... led nowhere? Or there was no point to it. Stuff like that but I would make it a rule that it can't be a side quest or something like that, it has to be part of the main story. I don't know, it'd be a good idea to expand on.
I don't think he mentioned, but R18+ rating was introduced in Australia like 6 years ago, so the "all 18+ games are banned in Australia" hasn't been a thing for a while
That is quite possibly the best shirt I've ever seen
Speaking of Australia, their most inexplicable ban had to be on the Atelier series for "sexual violence," when there's practically zero sexual content in the entire series. For reference, those games are rated PG in most other countries, including its neighbor, New Zealand. What's more ironic is that they gave Senran Kagura, a game where you rip one another's clothes, a PG rating.

A few things about the state of Australia you mentioned:
We have had an R18+ rating since 2013.
That blur was so unsatisfying it hurt
This is weird. I am from Brazil and bought Episodes from Liberty City on Steam a few years ago and never heard about it being banned here.
I see so many things being outlawed or banned or just downright hated in Saudi Arabia. Metal music, a fair share of video games, even a good amount of movies aren't allowed there. If you live there, I'm sure it's a nice place to visit, but all of those bans to me just say, "Stay away."
10:50 I'm going to make a wild guess, and say that they were worried about the original game's portrayal of a government not being obviously parody...
