Brutus playing with Cookie is so funny!
Wouldn't it be great to see Al & Olivia back in the kitchen together? AND collecting eggs & counting them. Oh the good 'ol days
AL it wouldn't be a bad idea to drive a T post in the ground beside & up against the water hydrants & put some hose clamps around them to stiffen up the hydrants. Because if the cows get to leaning on them or using them for a scratching post they could damage the hydrants & those things aren't cheap. Just a thought 🤔💭 I had that may save you a headache and lots of money 💰.
All the Hydrants have a T-Posts support already, mostly underground, what Al needs is Rocks, placed around 3 sides of each hydrant to protect from being scratched against and to protect from vehicles, expecially mowing equipment !
@@4Classie - Right you are, 4Classie! They have plenty of rocks to create a barrier!
I'm literally laughing out loud at Brutus and cookie. They may need their own channel
Vehicle Maintenance can be energy and resource sponges. You can't always maintain parts, filters, lubricants, and tools for the many vehicles on hand. Vehicle cleaning is often overlooked as a maintenance 1st line of defense. Keeping vehicles clean removes damaging road salts, dirt, grime, and debris and helps identify leaks and vehicle damage. You groom animals - so groom your vehicles and equipment - it's part of farm discipline.
My friends, I never knew that cows like to play. Brutus and Cookie melted my heart this morning ❤ while they were playing. What a Blessing! May God guide you and bless your family in your journey. Laura M from Rockaway Park New York
BEAUTIFUL...GREAT VIDEO 👍🙏❤😇 the PIGLETS are TOTALLY so cute 👍
It is always so much better when everybody stands in the bowl while they eat. 😆
If you stand in the bowl while you eat, it can't get away !
Pigs eat like Pigs with no manners or patience, nearsighted and can only look upward to knee area but are smartest farm animal, considered smarter than dogs, they will think first, to decide if wanting to follow directions !
Nice video, I was happy to see that Brutus seems to be getting along with the farm animals! The truck looks like it was happy to take a shower! B
That is so cute seeing the cow and dog playing.
You can tell that Brutus is still a puppy.
Just a suggestion, Al, but have you considered backing the Tundra into the barn beside the feed bins when refilling them? Then you can unload into the bins directly from the pickup bed without having to lift the bags up to your head to empty them.
The bin carts are on wheels and move easily, I think Al enjoys people paying attention to his work-product, he has been hearing "why didn't you" for 7 years !
A package came yesterday and my grandson and I tore into it in hopes of seeing “Brutus” in the box and …
Yup, there he was staring up at us! You’ve never seen two guys happier, (according to my daughter with Jax being 3 and I’m 62) and it was a toss up who smiled more… I got my coffee and he got his sticker lol. Thanks guys! I’m brewing a fresh 4 minute pot as I write!
Gotta love my bunn machine😉✌🏼
I wish Homestead Shop Talk was on twice a week. The ONLY podcast I truly enjoy!
Cookie and Brutus playing! How cute!
What a fun picture of Brutus playing with the steer. That was so funny. I hope he will have the same playfulness with the piglets...or at least future litters that are born on the homestead. Thanks for the nature pictures, Gina. It is amazing how you spot the butterflies on the clover and they are so beautiful. Take care and have a Blessed day.
I think the nature shots are the added bonus too Margaret.
@@davidgetchell3633 For sure. I love the close ups Gina manages to capture.
Howdy Margaret! Nicely said... hope you have a blessed day as well!
If I remember correctly, you brought this up at the old house. Goats are not grazers they are browsers. Browse up graze down. That's the easy way to remember it. The only way they'll eat grass is if they have nothing else. But they prefer browse. They might eat some of it, but they will not take it down like cows and sheep will.
Brutes probably just feels more comfortable with the side by side because now he is big enough to handle the jump in and out, and he can see where your going. Love watching the critters play.
Those piggies are so cute. The grass is looking so nice too. Well here’s hoping Azalea is having a baby!
Have a wonderful day 🤗
Goooooooood Morning Judy. Thank you
Another great day at the farm!!! Love the animals and the garden. You two have accomplished so much since you purchased that land. WOW it's amazing and GOD is Blessing you ALL.
The cow and dog they are best friends.
Extend the wing out. If the 3-4th feathers closest to the body are shorter than the rest, it's a rooster 🐓 if they are all even from tip to body, it's a hen.
You should put up a real fence in front of the rock piles to keep the cattle from running over the cliff again.
should put a real fence everywhere...
@@Ale55andr082 did I say that? Did I?
Thanks for showing the flail mower working.
Those piglets are so darn cute! And cookie and Brutus playing made me smile. 😊
Good Morning to my favorite off grid homestead family. Miles is an easy going boy and easy to handle. You do an excellent job handling your livestock and keeing them tame. Thanks for showing Hope and Daisy. Those girls are adorable free ranging around the farm.💕 I hope Azaleas AI worked.🤞 Brutus would have another play buddy. 😁
So awesome watching cookie and brutus play!! Hope you get the tire fixed ASAP! How is the hydro seeding working need an update!! Stay blessed all!!
It was just adorable watching them play!
Yes, it would be wonderful to see an update on the hydro-seeding - ideally it's going great!
Bless you & your wee farm 🚜
Brutus is such a photo bomber! the play with Cookie is adorable! He is such a good fit for your homestead! Thank you for sharing.
So does Brutis think he is a cow, or does Cookie think he is a dog? They just look like they are BFF's for ever.
Brutus looks up to Cookie.
Im gonna dislike the freezer camp time for Cookie

Both for Cookie and for Myles !
Hello, Gina and Al. It was great seeing Pluto in the video the other day!
Good morning all. I noticed the burn, and your explanation is exactly how my son burned himself 20 years ago. Hope you heal without too much scarring. Gina, your garden is beautiful!
Those cows couldn't wait to get in that pasture, awesome
Al and Gina. We really enjoyed it. You guys are doing a great job there. I really felt bad for Al when the tire came off the rim. Stuff happens. Cool video. 👍❤️🙏
The other day you were talking about your windshield wipers. I want to thank you! It has been a few "Years", since mine were changed. I remembered what you said and went and got some new ones. So much better! Thanks again!
I love watching brutis and cookie playing together 😂❤
Al, we haven’t seen your container cabin in quite a while. Perhaps a quick tour? The new subscribers would love it!
Those piglets are so cute!
You have been rewarded for all your research, personal skills, working as a family unit. Your property is well managed and beautiful..‼️Love the daisies and clover….
Good morning to everyone,Brutus is out for some fun,the animals are looking healthy eating rich green grass, have a bless day😊🌷❣️🇺🇸

Greetings Juergen - thank you for your nice words - wishing you the same!
Good evening Lumnah family 💜
You need to get a small bale maker to attach to the tractor and make bales from that cut pasture grass that can be stored and used to feed the animals at a later date.
Gooood morning All, Gina, Olivia, and Lumnah Acre friends! 🌄😊 never a dull moment on the homestead! My raised beds need a good weeding too as soon as we get a break in the weather.🌧☔ Nice not having to run irrigation. God bless all.

That is the cutest when Brutus & Cookie are playing! I have never seen that happen before! Made my day! 😎
How is Hope? I miss your goat videos.i love your dog and cow hanging out and playing!
Hope was in video, how did you miss ?

You need to get yourself an under-carriage sprayer attachment for your sprayer. It's like 5 sprayers on a bar with wheels that can be rolled under a vehicle.
I think you need or in just it’s just my opinion to have a chat with a guy called Pete from just a few acres he’s happening near New York. He’s he’s been farming for a long time now he’s got very very good ideas on how to run a small farm, not necessarily this is how he runs it but he gives other ideas on what to do, may help you with your future plans so that’s Pete from just a few acres
Thanks Simon. I’ll have to see if I can get his contact info
@@LumnahAcres - This is a good idea, Al - Pete from Just A Few Acres Farm is a well-spring of good farming and animal husbandry videos - lots of good helpful info to be gleaned.
MY FAVORITE NH OFF GRID RUclips FAMILY!!! Good morning Lumnahs AL Gina Olivia and subscriber friends!! I pray everyone has a blessed Tuesday and week ahead! 😊👍
And a good day to you CC-Rider !!
Good afternoon, my friend CC! We lost power yesterday afternoon until just a short while ago - as you can see, we're back up. Thank you for your pleasant wishes - may they come true for you and your family as well!
Good to see you all ,busy homestead today🇨🇦🤗
Heya Al! Ever think about thinning out the woods a bit around your pastures to reduce the fire risk? Not commercial type logging but underbrush and trees here and there. Historically the forests had fewer trees in them and fire didn't effect them as much.
Every time U turn on the water, it makes me happy! Dang U little piggies.😊 Your shots oof the butterflies and flowers were beautiful.
steam is the worst burn it takes forever to heal hugsssss
For the flat tire, you should have 2 kits - a plug kit and a patch kit. I've plugged tires many times and that has always worked well.
Outsourced to tire repair company to have mounted on wheel, Al tried mounting it back ( Gena even tried helping Al, for a second ) So without tire machine, the repair was sent to professional !
Brutus playing with Cookie was cute, but makes me feel a bit nervous because if Cookie swung his head or butted Brutus he could get hurt 🐶🐮
Brutus is about 80 pounds and about half of his adult weight, he is not brittle boned !
Gooood morning Lumnah Acres and friends. Love how Brutus and the cows play with each other. Wishing everyone a great day from hot East TN.
Goooooooood Morning Ron. Stay cool. It’s gonna be in the 90s here
30:20 hey Al, why don't you do something about them rims ? like throw a little bit of rattle can on them 🤭
A dry, pregnant cow in early- to mid-pregnancy has a lower water need per day than one within 60 days of calving. As cows reach the last trimester of pregnancy, water requirements begin to increase in order to have the capacity for milk production.
Lactating cows require nearly twice as much water compared to dry cows.
What if only 2 weeks into pregnancy ?
my comment was cut and pasted from Mr Google
@@nieldavies Good that you researched !
Can you cut as a hay type grass? Say for the cows. If so then why not get a hay cutter attachment, a side rake and a square bailer. That garden is looking good .
A flat tire is always a bummer. Oh well. I LOVE YOU ALL !!!! 🥰 🥰 🥰
You can always rake the grass into long piles and dry it for hay. That way you can use it during winter.
Or build stuff so as to get more animals with time availability !
Good Afternoon Lumnah Family from the Netherlands.

yes everything is fine here with me now.
busy with what I think is a typical Dutch job because in almost all other countries this work is done by the (local) police.
I am namely a : Beroeps Verkeersregelaar / Professional road Traffic Controller .
Good to hear from you again Sam 👍

cant wait for the 52 shop talk cant believe its been a year hugssss
Time to start thinking about baleing hay for winter feeding
The Secret Garden, the pasture, the animals... everything looks So great! Your hard work is really paying off.
PS: Hope the chickens and everyone gets through this northeast heat wave ok. Lay Low and stay cool ALL. 🌳 🏡
Good morning! Everything is green and growing from all your rain! Brutus and Cookie love their games! Those piglets really suffer in their new home!! The TYM has done a lot of work, and just one flat!
These piglets are so much friendlier then any of there other piglets, and they are so cute !!
The pigs are so adorable
Morning Lumnah family. I started using a foam cannon a few years ago to wash 2 vehicles. I'll never go back to hand washing. Spray it on, wait a few minutes, wash it off. The vehicles look better and better as you continue to use the product.
Interesting
Your raised bed gardens look great! I have an asparagus plot and that is a pain to keep weeded. The other areas of the garden I just put grass cuttings down to keep the weeds at bay.
Put a hot patch inside. Than divide if you need a tube.😊
Hey Al, have you thought of using a tyre pressure monitoring system for the tractor, at least that way you can visually inspect pressures while you work the machine. I don’t think they cost much. I also had a great laugh at Brutus and cookie playing, beautiful. Be careful with that pressure washer on the car, I worry about damaging window seals.
Good morning, everyone!!
Foam cannons work great for your wash jobs. Use it on you farm eq as needed to soak off the crud.
🥰😍🤩🤩😘😊
They make a patch with a plug on it that works great.
Good morning Al, Gina and Olivia. Looks like there is lots of work going on at the farm again. Been awhile sense you have had a flat tire. Animals looking good. Brutus sure gets along good with the animals. All his friend's. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week. Suppose to get some heavy rains tonight.
Goooooooood Morning Gene. I think this is the first flat tire on this homestead.
Need the goats to be on the weeder pastures with small trees and briars they love that stuff. The goats are like your herbicide replacement for your hay fields they eat anything but grass
Hello Al it looks like you are needing a Hay rake and a Hay Bailer and you might want to go to a Farm auction and find yourself a Hay Rake and a Hay Bailer !
Hello and good early morning to you Lumnah family from Red Wing Minnesota. I'm here in a motel since I had no friends to stay with tonight. It's been raining a lot here. Good early morning viewers. It's about 1 am now. I thought I'd see the show but I can't hear it on this device and I don't know why. The piglets are cute. The chicks look good in the brooder. I hope that Bantam chick is a Bantam rooster. Setting up new fencing. Azalea and Cookie look happy in the new pasture. Oh, long string of Brutus drool when he drank out of the cow's trough. It was cute to see Brutus and Cookie play! Myles seems to be doing well with the goats. More feed into the bins. I hope Azalea is pregnant. Wow, front tire on the TYM is flat! Nice looking potatoes Gina! The raised bed garden looks like it's growing well. That was a big poke hole in the tire. The butterflies on the clover were pretty. I hope the shop can fix your TYM tire soon. Great, pressure washing the Tundra. Truck looks good!
Al have you thought about filling the grain bins rom the tailgate of the pickup?. You would be lifting to a lower height an would be putting less strain on your back.
A very good morning from Gatwick wishing you all a pleasant and peaceful day ❤
You should pick up some patch plugs and vulcanizing cement to keep on hand for the tire repairs instead of going to a tire shop. Especially for the tractor, since you can get the tire off the bead with simple tools. You could have the puncture repaired in 5 minutes..You will need a buffing bur for a die grinder (3M scotch bright pads work well also). And a can of brake clean, not carb clean, to clean the surface after buffing. When you prep for the patch plug, you just need a fresh surface, Don't buff too far into the rubber during the prep. (if you see the inner cord, you went too far) You will save a lot of time and money. FYI
Hi Al,Gina,Brutus, That was a good couple of days & we do love the way Brutus plays with the cows.
Gina the plants are working realy well getting bigger & looking good. Take care happy family.
Our pigs love milk and scraps. I think cow is thirsty 😂 it’s in the nineties in Michigan so I drink more too.
Great video
I saw Brutus running around Barn while Al and Gina were in Barn, he must be trusted ( trained ) with free range chickens roaming !
The piglets are so darn cute. Miles seems to have adjusted to being alone. It’s fun watching Brutus play with the animals. You teach me something everyday!
Apologies for being pedantic but it's Myles.
You never run out of things to do on a homestead 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
In New Rust Hampshire the under side of vehicles is more important to clean than the top side. Power wash under neath. Let dry a few days then spray with FLUID FILM once, let dry then respray the thin areas you missed the first time. Then your ready for winter. Repeat process next year.
Whenever I get burned like that, I immediately put lavender Essential oil drops mixed with a carrier oil like coconut, and it keeps it from blistering.
Works great for sunburn too!
Try Meat Tenderizer on Burns and Bee stings !
Try Meat Tenderizer on Burns and Bee stings, eliminates the pain !
14:02 Put a ball valve or something on the end of that hose so you can turn on the spigot before you drag it over. Save yourself from walking back and forth. Take it from the lazy guy...
But he moved the hydrant closer a few videos ago, so today the walk was just a few steps !
Good morning, Al and Gina! Starting my day with the Lumnahs and a cup of IN THE WOODS DARK ROAST is so satisfying. Hope and Daisy look so good.
Howdy Pam!
Tks for video. Grass sure is green and plenty. Love seeing all animals. Gina your garden is a beauty. Much love to ya.
She’s going to have twins 😂, Brutis is so cute, playing with the cows. Also where do you take your garbage n do you recycle?
