I can remember rummaging through my dads stuff back in the early 80’s and finding those flash cube things. Taking photos was a complex procedure back then. As such i think photos were more highly treasured. Now people take 1000’s of photos and think nothing of it. The sad thing is many photos and memories are lost when the devices they are stored on finally die. Physical photo albums seem to be becoming a thing of the past. Even in the late 90’s as a student I can relate to many of the camera issues you’ve spoken about as it was still a time pre smart phone.

Hi, Thanks for taking a look at my video and your comments. I'm glad I was able to bring back a few fond memories for you. In the video I spoke of transferring my photos from physical media to a digital format. Afterwards I threw away the original photo albums and slide collections. In truth I rarely opened a photo album and my father's slide projector was broken and discarded long ago. This is why I had no photographs showing this. At least now my photos are all digitised I view them all on occasion as it is a simple process. In the past I have even had them all scrolling past as a screensaver on the TV. Very convenient but I have to be careful to ensure they are backed up and not superseded by new emerging technology. Vince
