Police statement after coroner rules Reading terror attack deaths ‘avoidable’

- Significant failings in sharing intelligence contributed to the deaths of three friends in a terrorist attack in park in Reading, a coroner has ruled.
Counterterrorism police made “incorrect and misconceived assessments” which allowed Khairi Saadallah, a Libyan asylum-seeker, to launch the attack in Forbury Gardens during a brief relaxation in Covid-19 rules in June 2020.
Saadallah, who had been in and out of prison for violent offences, had been released from his latest sentence 15 days earlier but should have been recalled the previous day when his brother called police, the coroner said.
James Furlong, 36, a history teacher, Joseph Ritchie-Bennett, 39, a pharmaceuticals manager and David Wails, 49, a scientist, were killed and three others injured during the attack.

The deaths were indeed avoidable. The perpetrator should not have been in this country at all.

He was known to security services yet again! He should not have been here at all!
Those three young innocent men should not have lost their lives in such a shocking attack!
The police and security service failed the public again!
Both Labour and Tories have allowed mass immigration for decades!

That should have been a wake up call for the authorities!

At least they have just made it illegal to fly a St George's flag from your car and home.. That should help stop these attacks.....
Their words mean nothing at this point, noone believes anything they say. Unless you want people to start taking actions into their own hands, I suggest providing more results and less statements.
