thank you for continuing to share music that Sol made. I only learnt of his death at the very beginning of this week (actually through a comment on another video on this channel and upon googling his name because I couldn’t quite believe it, the obituary for him was the first search result) and I’ve been really, really saddened by it. I first started listening to his music in 2017 and it’s always had a special place in my heart. the couple of times I interacted with him, he was very sweet; he responded when I let him know how much Break My Ribs (So I Can Be Free) meant to me a little while after discovering it and when I bought it on CD, he sent me the self-titled album CD along with it for free. those occasions really meant a lot, still do, and now I’m treasuring those hand-painted CDs even more than I already did. I’m so, so sorry for your loss. I hope he’s found peace.
that's very similar to how I met him actually a long time back, I definitely understand the feeling. He made very powerful music that captured himself so well. It made a very direct connection to understanding and feeling his feelings, and before even really getting to know him, I felt like I knew him and cared for him all the same as a close friend and it hurts as a fan as much as a friend. And the hand painted CDs, he didn't make very many at all, so that's a very special thing to have! He was so happy when anyone wanted any of his music, so he must have been so happy to send that to you. Thank you for supporting him
i remember him hand painting those CDs, he put so much love into it, into everything he did. He wanted to be heard more than anything, and when someone took the time to listen, really listen, it meant the world to him. Thank you so much, for your kind words and for hearing him
