Dee Hoty, Diana DeGarmo, Mamie Parris, Joseph Mahowald, Kristine Zbornik, Gregg Goodbrod. Beautiful capture of the tour cast. The cast remains fantastic and top notch. Mamie is truly a force to be reckoned with. These ladies remain one of the best replacement cast, that have ever been seen. There is a two minute section missing right after the song "Here For You", while the master had to change seats. The clock that features a video recording of Dolly also malfunctions during the curtain call.
The first national tour of the United States began at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville on September 21, 2010. Jeff Calhoun took over as director and choreographer, in the production that featured Dee Hoty, Mamie Parris, Diana DeGarmo and Joseph Mahowald in the lead roles. In preparing the musical for the tour, Calhoun stated that in "believing that a short show is a happy show, we [have] jettisoned a second act song for the character of Mr. Hart, repositioned Roz's song in Act One and tried to make invisible cuts to the book."
The 10-month tour concluded on July 31, 2011 at the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Texas.

I just feel like this tour fell so flat !! I feel like they missed a lot of funny lines!! Like they just didn’t deliver the way broadway did!! And the audience really shows that.

I don’t disagree. I feel the big let down were many of the rewrites from Bway to the tour, particularly the Dolly projections. I adore Dolly, obviously, but the breaking of the fourth wall is so strange when it’s not consistent through the rest of the show.

Plus a lot of flat singing by one female. Ughhh.

Maybe they were tired, but correct, this is not Brosdway level. The cast isnt in sync with each other, but that can happen. Also, I havent done tours in on so long...do they still pay decently? Are there as many very talented people choosing a risky career in musucal theatre in today's economy or choosing more secure careers these days, lending to better unpaid local theater and not as good professional paid gigs on tours and in dinner thester?
I know Binghamton is packed with Broadway level talent and the multiple theater companies that hsve sprung up are putting on powerful shows that match the performances I saw every night in the business in the 90s.
We have folks that should be paid.

Ugh with all due respect… I hate this tour. The design is a mess. …’n WHAT is with the dolly videos??? I feel like this is a show at Dollywood. But it’s barely up to that quality.
