You said that for extended depth of focus (EDOF) Johnson and Johnson lens is available But kindly throw some light for the other EDOF lenses AVAILABLE IN THIS CATEGORY.e.g.Vivity IQ, Hoya isert XY1 lenses etc.,Is Hoya isert XY1 monofocal EDOF category lens? Please reply. I have had recently catract surgery and have used this lens in my one eye.I shall be very much thankful to you if you can give move information about THE FDA approved in EDOF category monofocal lenses.

I am from Gujarat & doctor implanted hydrophilic Rayner preloaded mics lens in my mother eye before 5 years... & still no pco & my friend implanted Hoya hydrophobic lens in his mother & after 6 month pco happens... so after implanted hydrophilic lens patient is happy. I think it's marketing gimmick philic & phobic.

This has minimum glare and haloes and has good distance and intermediate vision u may require glasses sometimes for near fine work

Sir, I am 20 years old, got traumatic cataract surgery (feko),got monofocal implanted, after 3.5 months, m able to see but while reading, the contrast is not much, like reading books, text on books printed with black on white paper, black doesn't look that dark, so m able to see text, but the contrast makes it difficult to read.
But with dark background with white text, that I am able to read properly.

Mismatch power of lens calculation
If contract lens are perfect there will be a great contrast and sharp vision. This is my practical experience. I have myself catract lense of my both eyes. Initially I have very blurred vision. After catract operation nearly 20 days back, my vision of both eyes improved very much like any HD LCD tV picture. I got it from Eye Mantra, hospital at Paschim vihar. Their rates are also tolerable. In fact they are also doing charitable jobs. You must visit Eye montra for your problem.

Yes this lens is good. Lens once implanted is life long and cannot be changed. So now should go for Monofocal in other eye also
