I've always wondered why the WW2 Germans used a plain straight-lined black cross as their roundrel instead of the curve-lined Iron Cross shape used in WW1 and in post-WW2 West Germany and unified Germany. After all, the WW2 Germans used the Iron Cross as their top medal, specifically the Knight's Cross with Gold and Diamonds (contrary to War Thunder which makes the German Cross in Gold the top medal).

Japan needs some light tank to the first proper tank III Line-up as br distances between tanks are gigantic at this area. Especially that current lineup is up to 60% sniping vechicles.
I would like to undestand why the Mig-27 which is a dedicated ground-attack version of the Mig-23 has been implemented as a "fighter" in the game. I mean, why both Harriers and Yak-38 are deliberately labled as "strike-aircraft" (capable of conducting attacks on the ground but not designed to be their primary role) while a dedicated ground-attack aircraft is not?
One is chaff one is FLIR. FLIR defeats IR-seekers (generally short range missiles) and chaff defeats active radar (SPAAGS (tracking radar sort of; at least, it should) and long range missiles) I think that there is more radar AA in ground RB because there are ground vehicles and interceptors. Air AB is probably more IR seeking missiles. I don't know. I don't play high tier of either, but it makes sense. Radar seeking missiles, if there are any, ought to have extreme ranges of like 30-200km, so Im not sure if those even exist right now.

Sounds like you’re describing a thermal sleeve, it’s meant to keep the gun barrel at a stable temperature so it lasts longer as shooting the gun effects the temperature of the barrel.
The a 10 came out as a result to this plane in 1977 almost 10 years later Except we didn't want to add speed and we did not make it super sonic So to compensate for that we just made it incredibly armored and made it the equivalent of an M1 Abrams in the sky

Chaff is the only thing that will save you, if you allow a heli within 2km to fire a heat seeker you need to turn your ingame sound up

Mig 27 isn't even that good in grb and the a-10 will be worthless by now at top tier.
