Your organization rescues the horses it can, and even though donations are down, horses are still being saved from slaughter. The act of slaughter is the greatest betrayal to the magnificent creature. If more people were to see the process of the slaughter they too like me would be buying them as they were delivered to the facility "Just to euthanize them ". It’s the economy. A lot of us are way behind where we thought we would be this year - or two. EVERYONE is asking for donations. I’ll send a bit but the economy has to change for organizations and their rescued animals, children and underprivileged souls to thrive again.

What a terrifying, devastating time. It makes me so angry because energy companies are announcing huge profits, some at 900% increase, while people are struggling to heat their homes….this winter is literally going to be a killer and all in the name of greed and privatisation. At first, I thought the drop in donations was due to the disgusting barrage of hate and lies instigated by the 2 vet techs who left. But reading through the comments on their Facebook pages, I see people calling them out on their vindictiveness. They may have taken a few supporters with them, but they have gained followers from the Big Lick organisation, disgusting humans who will stop at nothing to put your incredible organisation down. After studying their awful pages, it’s supporters and followers; I’ve come to the conclusion, the drop in donations are due to the economic disaster we’re all going through. This time will pass Tawnee. It will be so hard for a while but you’ve got this Tawnee. Yes, there will be necessary heartbreaking cuts but we understand and are behind you. If we all stick together, donate when we can, share your content as much as possible, this time will pass more gently. The network you are building across the states will help save more horses together. Although times are hard, the network itself will save more lives. Do what you have to do in order to stay afloat Tawnee, getting another trainer, (although another cost), will ultimately get more horses adopted. There will be less mouths to feed, making space for more innocent lives. If you’re rescuing fewer horses yourselves, it may feel like you’re failing the victims of animal abuse but your network of organisations will be rescuing horses too, so the numbers will actually be better, it might not feel it, but it’s true. Hi guys, hi Tawnee! I am a old lady in Germany but with tight bonds to SC (I lived there, NC and TX for 13 yrs and my 2 son and grands live there). I am not in a ideal situation here, alone etc but I watch yall all the time and my heart bleeds when I see many of the horses. I never handled or owned a horse but many other animals- many rescued from the streets of SC. I know how it is.....Horses are the most graceful animas to me- Gods creation full of beauty, grace, loyalty and valor. If I had a piece of property big enough I would take a small horse, mule or donkey- old, blind or otherwise handicaped. No matter, I would give him/her a forever home and all my love. I dont have the means to live my livelong dreams and I would so love to help yall. It hurt my heart to see you so down Tawnee so I k you to not loose hope and have faith. God and faith are the last refuge we have sometimes, dont we! I send my love and prayers to all of yall amazing people! Be blessed so you can bless all these wonderful creatures big and small. If you only mean to show you are glad people support Horse Plus, first of all you should DONATE SOME MONEY! And secondly you should say who you are and what you really mean. If you are too lazy to type out a couple of sentences that you can then copy and paste, if you're really THAT LAZY, then you shouldn't say anything at all. Your pretense is NOT helpful in any way.
You should be using a fork to clean those shavings stalls. You are throwing away a lot of clean shavings. Forks with close tines effectively sift out the waste and leaves the shavings.
Omargosh that baby donkey glommed onto Jason soooo bad! Everyone dedicates so much, thank you for all your sacrifices! Sometimes you may feel like you are unable to live up to your goals. Times are especially hard for donations, most of your supporters are facing their own hardships. Maybe instead of certain supplement brands you could use raw minerals and additional active ingredients to get you through hardship times. Brewers yeast, selenium etc mixed into grain or regular pellets may save you alot of money to use elsewhere. Just something to consider. You'll get thru this, much love to all of you!

The end made me cry..I have donated in the past but probably like a lot of people who would normally donate I'm having my own financial difficulties with paying bills..my mortgage alone has increased from £200 a month to £600. The utility bills are ridiculous and the price of basic groceries have gone to silly heights..I'm usually getting the odd Christmas presents by noe but have no spare money to do that so Christmas will be very sparce and basic this year..i just about break even at the end if the month ..if I had anything spare you could willingly have it but I don't..I'm so very sorry all I can say is I will keep you all in my prayers..good luck..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👏🐎👍👏🇺🇸

The cost of living is so high its a struggle to maintain our lives comfortably. We are burying my grandson tomarrow and that is costing Over $4900. I absolutely love animals! My husband calls me dr Dolittle lol when I was a kid I always brought home straight dogs, cats, Guinea pigs 😊 Now I have a horse, rats, 3 Dobermans, cat, fish and I also feed wild life regularly. I admire your work!,,,,

I really learned so much with the live streams at the auction + full vet checks after ! I can say for myself, haven’t been so focused on your rescue in the few months, but it has nothing to do with you all. Just life, working with foster care + PTSD kids, + the atrocities with the Ukraine War -routing for the Ukrainian people., and then trying to decompress with vacation time. Your message touched me and let me know I need to pay attention to your organization also because equines, especially American mustangs, are my passion ! I learned in my early 20’s working at a NY state thoroughbred race track mares + foals breeding barn that a ton of sound heathy young horses are just shipped to slaughter just because they do not fit the specific race track industry standards. Young yearlings I took care of everyday just shipped off for dog food or foreign dinners. It was truly Awful learning that at the time. Yep she will be fine, she will learn and adapt to only 3 legs. My parents had a cattle dog cross who only had three legs (she lost a front leg just like Trinity, same type of accident too was hit by a car), she learned how to run and play and while she may have hopped around when walking she would run so fast you couldn't even tell she had 3 legs. Trinity doesn't look like she has much of a leg left so I don't think a prosthetic leg would work for her anyway.

They may have taken a few supporters with them, but they have gained followers from the Big Lick organisation, disgusting humans who will stop at nothing to put your incredible organisation down. After studying their awful pages, it’s supporters and followers; I’ve come to the conclusion, the drop in donations are due to the economic disaster we’re all going through. This time will pass Tawnee. It will be so hard for a while but you’ve got this Tawnee. Yes, there will be necessary heartbreaking cuts but we understand and are behind you.
If we all stick together, donate when we can, share your content as much as possible, this time will pass more gently. The network you are building across the states will help save more horses together. Although times are hard, the network itself will save more lives.
Do what you have to do in order to stay afloat Tawnee, getting another trainer, (although another cost), will ultimately get more horses adopted. There will be less mouths to feed, making space for more innocent lives. If you’re rescuing fewer horses yourselves, it may feel like you’re failing the victims of animal abuse but your network of organisations will be rescuing horses too, so the numbers will actually be better, it might not feel it, but it’s true.
My heart, (although breaking for you right now), knows things will get better. I’m sending you so much love and respect for all you are and do.

Hi guys, hi Tawnee! I am a old lady in Germany but with tight bonds to SC (I lived there, NC and TX for 13 yrs and my 2 son and grands live there). I am not in a ideal situation here, alone etc but I watch yall all the time and my heart bleeds when I see many of the horses. I never handled or owned a horse but many other animals- many rescued from the streets of SC. I know how it is.....Horses are the most graceful animas to me- Gods creation full of beauty, grace, loyalty and valor. If I had a piece of property big enough I would take a small horse, mule or donkey- old, blind or otherwise handicaped. No matter, I would give him/her a forever home and all my love. I dont have the means to live my livelong dreams and I would so love to help yall. It hurt my heart to see you so down Tawnee so I k you to not loose hope and have faith. God and faith are the last refuge we have sometimes, dont we! I send my love and prayers to all of yall amazing people! Be blessed so you can bless all these wonderful creatures big and small. You should be using a fork to clean those shavings stalls. You are throwing away a lot of clean shavings. Forks with close tines effectively sift out the waste and leaves the shavings.

Omargosh that baby donkey glommed onto Jason soooo bad! Everyone dedicates so much, thank you for all your sacrifices! Sometimes you may feel like you are unable to live up to your goals. Times are especially hard for donations, most of your supporters are facing their own hardships. Maybe instead of certain supplement brands you could use raw minerals and additional active ingredients to get you through hardship times. Brewers yeast, selenium etc mixed into grain or regular pellets may save you alot of money to use elsewhere. Just something to consider. You'll get thru this, much love to all of you!

The end made me cry..I have donated in the past but probably like a lot of people who would normally donate I'm having my own financial difficulties with paying bills..my mortgage alone has increased from £200 a month to £600.
The utility bills are ridiculous and the price of basic groceries have gone to silly heights..I'm usually getting the odd Christmas presents by noe but have no spare money to do that so Christmas will be very sparce and basic this year..i just about break even at the end if the month ..if I had anything spare you could willingly have it but I don't..I'm so very sorry all I can say is I will keep you all in my prayers..good luck..🇬🇧💞✝️🙏👏🐎👍👏🇺🇸

The cost of living is so high its a struggle to maintain our lives comfortably. We are burying my grandson tomarrow and that is costing Over $4900. I absolutely love animals! My husband calls me dr Dolittle lol when I was a kid I always brought home straight dogs, cats, Guinea pigs 😊 Now I have a horse, rats, 3 Dobermans, cat, fish and I also feed wild life regularly. I admire your work!,,,,

I’ve enjoyed watching you for a few yrs now and met Tawnee and your husband at an Equine Expo/Affaire yrs ago. I really learned so much with the live streams at the auction + full vet checks after ! I can say for myself, haven’t been so focused on your rescue in the few months, but it has nothing to do with you all. Just life, working with foster care + PTSD kids, + the atrocities with the Ukraine War -routing for the Ukrainian people., and then trying to decompress with vacation time.
Your message touched me and let me know I need to pay attention to your organization also because equines, especially American mustangs, are my passion ! I learned in my early 20’s working at a NY state thoroughbred race track mares + foals breeding barn that a ton of sound heathy young horses are just shipped to slaughter just because they do not fit the specific race track industry standards. Young yearlings I took care of everyday just shipped off for dog food or foreign dinners. It was truly Awful learning that at the time. So I’m committed to folks like you all who wrk so hard to help the equines in ways I only dreamed about! I’ll pay attention more! I promise! Looking forward to the live steam before + after Auction!

Trinity will do just fine with 3 legs. There are lots of dogs with 3 legs that can run and jump with no prosthetic.
Yep she will be fine, she will learn and adapt to only 3 legs. My parents had a cattle dog cross who only had three legs (she lost a front leg just like Trinity, same type of accident too was hit by a car), she learned how to run and play and while she may have hopped around when walking she would run so fast you couldn't even tell she had 3 legs. Trinity doesn't look like she has much of a leg left so I don't think a prosthetic leg would work for her anyway.
When they were talking about the storm I swear the horse was looking too

I was visiting my best friend in Pulaski TN when these storms came through... it looked just like this and quite a few large trees were downed.
