@@Margar02 in my experience by like 13 that's an everyone thing now gen alpha has some really fun characteristics (not my own but the consistent level headed male figure in all of my cousins lives like have a sensitive question to ask? Cousin [redacted] need help with understanding something intellectual? Edit: got the only fruit roll-ups the store had (they’re half a sheet of one flavor and half another, instead of 1 sheet of a single flavor), mango sorbet, and Tajin/Tajin-brand chamoy, can’t wait to try it later

That’s the one I tried except I got the jolly rancher fruit roll ups because I’ve never had them before but I still enjoyed them.

It's nice to have someone I consider trustworthy do this. I myself cannot bite ice cream due to tooth sensitivity so I couldn't try to debunk this myself. But hey Emmy "bunked" it, so that's great!
You can add the rollup to the top of your ice cream container and then break it up creme brulee style so you can still get crunch without having to use your teeth!

You know, with how popular this trend is, I wouldn't be surprised if an icecream company came out with like, fruit roll-up top tubs or something like that XD
As a Canadian, I remember having fruit roll-ups during recess in winter and they were crunchy too. I think the creaminess from ice cream will be an awesome addition though, gotta try it now!
I guess putting it in the freezer would do the job too but yeah, the creaminess is something different. Smaller pieces would be a nice ice cream topping.

I haven’t tried the fruit roll ups with ice cream yet, but unwrapped, re-rolled and then frozen, they taste great and still have the amazing glass-like crunch!

If you let the ice cream soften a little before you wrap it up you can actually seal the "envelope " of fruit roll up and give it a quick squish to get the ice cream into the corners too

It's important to note that when doing this you must use Fruit Roll Up Brand shown here, and not the other rolled fruit type things. They're thicker, and don't create the crunch you want!
Anyone remember the old fruit rollups from the early/mid 90s that were actually like fruit leather made with real fruit? I don't remember what they were called but I do remember the apple and cherry in particular were so freaking good (hands down better than any fruit rollup available now) and really tasted like homemade fruit leather (a concept I wasn't aware of as a kid eating them). I bet they would have been great with ice cream.

I tried this over Easter weekend with my daughter, parents, my siblings and their kids and we all loved it ( we liked the strawberry fruit roll ups more than the blue raspberry ones though) gonna try this again with a different type of ice cream/ sorbet

I just did this activity with my daughter, nieces and nephew and they loved it.

I’m allergic to commercial fruit pectin so I haven’t had a fruit roll up in years. I would love to try this combination. I think the strawberry and vanilla would be similar to those Strawberry Sundae bars. For some reason I’ve never tried them until recently, and they’re so good. The center is a tangy strawberry which goes well with the vanilla ice cream.
I also love to mix Italian ices, fruit popsicles, or sorbet with Sprite. Soooo delicious. Sparkling water would also work. I actually mix Sprite and sparkling water together because Sprite is so sweet.

Back in Brazil they used to sell a popsicle that was vanilla inside (creamy icecream) and a fruity outer icecream (popsicle style) and it was a very satisfying combination, actually. Look for Frutilly if curious. It was very popular in the 80's, not sure now.

We've got something similar in the uk, its called a fruit split! Vanilla ice cream inside and a fruity, icy outside. My favourite flavours is strawberry and blackcurrant
