Lost insulator dump found! | The Glass Digtective

I’ve been trying to catch up on some of my past media that I accumulated prior to going on the road. I shot this video a year ago in May 2023 when Hutch was still a pup and in training to come with me to dig. Little did we know what we would find on our two trips to investigate the site, and all the “electrifying” parts and pieces we would uncover. We find the best dumps and insulators in the woods off of the railroad tracks in different places...Some are huge dumps that might have been there before the railroad tracks but still not sure. 🤔 Thank goodness I find multiple colors of glass insulators and not that porcelain stuff. Here's the cleaning secret for insulators.... Barkeeper's Friend dissolved in warm water to soak them in.... Easier than anything else. (Except having someone else clean them..😂)

You and Hutch had a fun day in the creek. I love the ceramic insulators, but my favorite is the glass. Both can be repurposed as garden art and put on wooden dowl rods. To me the chips give it character. Fun video, all the best to you on your adventures.👍👏
