Realistically (if selling), sell when the market price curve reaches its peak and is stagnant for 1-2 weeks or is beginning a slow regress. That period of time dictates a serious shift in consumer behavior and is most likely indicators of a good time to let go of a card. EDIT: do not sell when the card is still exponentially rising as its peak has not set in yet. Pokemon singles are NOT viable as a long term hold in most cases, the reason being because of the mass overprint in this age (they are 20x overprinting than in the previous decade to the tune of 10 billion cards per year), the pull rates are roughly 2-3x easier, and cards will flood the resale market once it is way out of rotation or popularity phase. I commonly tell people this is an incoming "junk wax" and "junk slab" era and have seen this play out many times in the 1980s/1990s. Just buy what pokemon/art/trainers you like, but if the scalper zombies come knocking paying way more than what you paid for i say SELL SELL SELL!
People should collect what they like. It is impossible to predict short term values of cards going up and down. in 2018 when i started collecting again, people talked about evolution like it was a valueless sett, and said it was printet to the ground like crazy. And it ended up being the box that rose most in value. Stuff like that is truely impossible to predict, because abselutly NOBODY wanted it. And in 2018, At least in Denmark, I was kindda the only person who collected Japanese cards. I really believed it was super undervalued, because of the joy it gave me when I collected it. And I only collected the gold star cards, because i thougth does cards was the collest as a kid, and because of that I believed the most in them. They went up like crazy, because I bougth rayquaza gold star psa 9, for 150-180 usd at the time. But there where MANY japanese cards and english cards that outperformed them if we only talk about the money aspect. The most absurd purches I said no to(After i bougth it) was a special pokemon center gyarados psa 10, that you could get for around 80 USD. I ended up returning it. The same with all the MINT corocoro MEW cards you could buy for 30-40 usd. Does card are super expensive today, specially now when japanese MINT cards are hard to find
@4EverAwesomness92 interesting story. I agree it is impossible to predict but it is possible to analyze. In your case, boxed product is different, as you can always open a box to get cards, but cannot open cards to get a box. This lowering scarcity and contrast is what differentiates boxed product from singles, hence a rise in price regardless of any boxed set whether they are viewed as good or bad. Always buy what you like but being informed will also help people make the best decision in the moment if they have to view it financially. Even if you end up selling what you like, most likely you can always buy it back at several time periods when the card deviates up then down through ebb and flow. Realistically, Pokemon cards should NOT be investing, but reasonable gains by reasonable research can be to anyone's benefit. Your love of the cards and gold star card collecting is a reflection of such. so in other words SELL SELL SELL
Just pulled the Greninja SIR should I hold or sell so that I can buy more Twilight Masquarade for the chance at pulling the Greninja again? A few months ago I pulled Greninja and I have been lost ever since. I've been wondering the streets not knowing where I am going. Thank you for this video now I can get back to my life.

@@bloodsamplerecordsvevo8793 Yeah I personally like some of the IR's more than the Greninja. Each to their own but the price of the Greninja is wild asf atm!
Popular character, it’s a little high for where it should be and will definitely drop in price but at least it’s a chase card that makes sense I suppose
Investment bros make me laugh. I just want cards that look nice, which is why I’m not upset I pulled the Revaroom SIR instead of the zard from Obsidian Flames.
Hi, have you heard of the discovery that u can scan Holos out of packs via x-ray machines? Its so over😢 video is called "digitally peeking into pokemon cards" or so
First 25 years of baseball cards were 1887-1901. Were still in the tobacco era of pokemon cards any cards you sell now will lose you tons in the future even with mass printing were EXTREMELY early
It’s not that hard to figure out. These questions are ones that pop up frequently because the temptation to sell, is overpowering the collector. I keep singles that I pull and sell or trade my doubles (if I have any multiples) that’s really the best recycled advice you can ever give if anyone wants to take it. 🤷🏻
I sell anything and everything except dividers as those i am keeping for the long term investment. What is better than shiny cardboard? Thick dull carboard...... #dontdivide 😁

I love the hobby, but it does hurt when you hold onto something that tanks, or let go of something that spikes. Just my 2 cents. Still gota good laugh from the vid!

Hahhaha! Come on this is funny!! Love the video. Hey I just got paid this week... what should I do with my money? I have no idea.. maybe buy charizard since it's moemoemoemoe money ?!
I opened 1 ETB of twilight masquerade and got the greninja, have not bought any more from that set. Opened over 700 packs of paldean fates to get the Gardevior, got 2 bubble mew and the charizard first... not sure if i have god luck or bad luck.
Sell if you DO want to keep the card. DON'T sell the cards you hate. Boom. Be ungovernable or something.
Nope must be ruled by Reddit

I'm not on Reddit, but this kinda wreaks of "offer me money for my stuff so I don't have to do any work to sell it" vibes.
This was a video for sauce boss. In fact. I would like to see sauce boss explain what makes a set or a card like greenninja so valuable.
Speedrunning bankruptcy because of this video 😂
Should I 💩or hold?
ROFL the sarcasm is tier 100. LoL
Yes, by all means sell your cards! So I can watch and laugh as your precious Ninja lizard gets only 60% of it's value after shipping and other fees.😂
Your stuff is amazing! We do Pokemon at our channel but we can’t say out loud what you say but it’s nice to have a loud voice out there saying it as it is.
If you really have to ask that question, means you don't like the card as much as you think.
i can only see the prices of all the cards going down in the future reminds me of the 1980s coin craze
I will never understand these kind of posts. Are people not capable of thinking for themselves?
Anyone else think the Greninja is overated asf? 🤔
There is better looking cards from other sets but in this set the greninja is high rated because not many great cards in the set.
@@bloodsamplerecordsvevo8793 Yeah I personally like some of the IR's more than the Greninja. Each to their own but the price of the Greninja is wild asf atm!
