Being that I've had a LCD 512GB for awhile I don't see myself upgrading until there's an actual significant upgrade like a complete new rendition of the system
I literally just bought the 512 a couple weeks ago and LOVE it. Got it on sale for about half the original price and it's perfect for me. Already have a ton of emulators installed and everything just runs great.
@@lakeland6798 I've had the 512 LCD since launch but given that its the same chip with a better screen and I've had no issues with any game I'v thrown at it, I'll hold out for the Steam Deck 2 or whatever they decide to call it.
As someone who started with an LCD (64gb to 1Tb upgrade) and then switched to OLED 1Tb, I completely agree with getting the OLED right out of the gate if you can. Battery life alone makes it worth it, but there are so many other improvements that make it a great value.
Do you think an OLED would be good even if you only play on TV? I got a LCD one but didnt think it was worth to get the OLED one as I only play on TV anyways
I would say the only reason for the OLED is not the screen, but that it has faster clocked memory. Wierd thing is that my lcd has the same speed memory, but seems to be downclocked for some reason.

I just got my sale 512gb in the mail today. Love it. The 512 has the anti-glare screen and enough space to last me a while, can still be upgraded later.
I’d suggest against the top of the line OLED with the etched screen. Especially if you mostly play at night in bed like I do. The etching on the glass creates a bloom around the light parts of the display, like white text on the pure black OLED background in many games. It makes the text much harder to read and blurs the graphics a lot. Id suggest the middle OLED model for most folks, and then the top of the line etched version only for those who play outdoors during the day a lot. I returned my limited edition orange one that I loved because the blooming on the etched glass was just too much to play my favorite games. I miss the smoked clear and orange accents of the device, but the normal less expensive glass is much better in most scenarios.
FYI: Don't overthink the glass. I have an LCD steam deck with an etched screen protector (Couldn't afford the high end version on launch) and it looks identical to the etched screen. I actually didn't like the etched screen at all (didn't know until I had it) so when I bought my limited edition steam deck (comes with etched glass) I also bought a regular screen protector to lay on top (not-etched) and it looks absolutely perfect. Whether you want etched glass or not, you just need to buy a screen protector.
I just got the 512gb one since its a steal. I paid $364 (thats with sales tax included) which is $14 more than my Switch OLED, so hopefully it arrives soon.
Would’ve recommended going for the OLED version. Not only for the screen itself and 90hz screen, but also because of the battery life and its improved cooling. The LCD had the problem of getting quite hot. I bought the OLED 1tb at 1:40am on September 19. Right now it’s 7:20pm on September 19 and it says the payment has processed but they haven’t pack the steam deck for delivery yet so I guess it will take 3-5 days.
@Deminogg As much as I love the Switch OLED and all that, I'm probably going to have my Dexk used on an external display, or constantly plugged in, so Battery Life isn't that big of a concern, but yeah I do love the OLED, just not the price, if I was spending that much money, I'd probably just use it to buy a used 3080ti or 4080

Yep
Im 4 weeks late, is this fast enough?
I’m definitely going to wait about a month to try to play bloodborne hopefully they can finish working on it, but that is super exciting that I can play one of my favorite games and then I can free up space in my living room getting rid of my PlayStation 4. The only reason I still have it is because of bloodborne
Steam Families have to ALL be in the Same Country tho.... so no moving to Canada!! Oh wait... we wouldn't do that anyway LOL
Honestly checked everydsy cause i want one and the site is always outa stock lol
whats the ps4 emulator called?
the oled is 100% worth it.
I got the first steam deck and will wait till the next upgrade
will it play stream hbomax
Valve's WHAT won't last!? OwO
I just have a 1TB ssd as my PC games drive and a 1TB micro sd for emulators.
Wish bloodbourne had multiplayer so i could help people
Wish bloodbourne had multiplayer so I could get helped by people.
@@yewknight wish i could help this guy
I’m not being a smart ass or anything but what does “Shape on” mean?
It’s from my Halloween channel. Michael = the shape. Just use it on everything
@@DeckReady oh ok now it makes all the sense in the world to me. Thank you.
Love my oled ,
Messsed up thing is that the devlopers of anti-cheat systems can make it linix compatible, vut they're just too lazy... Get with the times. Not everyone uses only windows.
Wow... Valve still doesn't sell hardware in my territory. 👍
Oh, btw, some people are already getting scammed on the whole steam family stuff by being added as children and having their stuff locked. So yeah, be sure to only configure stuff with people you're absolutely sure you're safe with and vice-versa.
According to Steam: “Steam Regions. If you live in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong use Komodo’s website”
If you could’ve only mentioned which region you live in.
@@leonoliveira8652 how did the scam added as children works? me and my friends are all adults so we dont know anything about being added as children
You kinda remind me of Nick Rochefort
I love world peace
Bloodborne on my ps4 pro ran much better than ps4. even in the swamp, I dont know what you are talking about. many people have made that claim and I have to say. In my own experience, it was NOT as bad on the pro.
I played on ps4 Slim.
Didnt notice FPS problems, the long loading screensn or any other problem until I read about them on internet.
Some people has a savage obsesion with FPS and 4-8K resolutions.
Even on the emulator.
There were first 120 FPS mods and HD mods and a Lot of that kind of videos.
At that moment a Lot of textures never charge on game but ey!! They are now Full HD.
At this moment lights didnt work well but there are Ray Tracing mods
😂😂
It's amazing how people works
Everyone should get refund for GTA 5 if you only have steam deck because you can no longer play.
Series x / steam deck gang here
Why 512gb 339$ and 265gb us 399$ ?!
The 64 and 512 lcd decks arent being produced anymore so valve is trying to get rid of their stock, but they're still making the 256 gb as an entry model so they want to keep that stock
@@greenyoshi119 so 265gb will be the icon of the lcd model now
@@evilcrashbandicootthetouho2753 yeah exactly
Definitely got a little bit of a butthurt vibe while talking about Steam families lol
this dude
Bought an lcd model. It got stomen in the mail
do you get a refund or is it considered your responsability ?
That blows
@@azulamazigh2789 i hope i get a replacement. They’re investigating with gls
That’s terrible
@@azulamazigh2789 hoping to get a replacement since i honestly can’t afford the non-sale price
Where i live the lcd steam decks arent sold annymore
And yet it still isn't sold in Australia
Dont worry inflation is coming down. Joe Bribem is printing more dollars and lowering interest rates, lol.
BLOODBORN is actually 60fps on ps5 now.
Not true, still 30fps
did this man just casually mention that dialogue isn't that important in FromSoft games?
Slow down!
theres a button for that.
Test
I just bought a Steam Deck o their current sale and I’m starting to feel like I bought into a dying ecosystem.
You are easily swayed. Look at the most recent hardware survey data. Linux has overtaken mac, which is likely why companies are suddenly increasing support
Steam deck is no good because of this anti cheat systerms not being supported on it 😡

I’ve been waiting YEARS to play bloodborne again on a pc tho tbh..when I found out you have to have a PlayStation STILL! In 2024 to play that game! I was heartbroken. The game is so gorgeous
7:54 FPS drop.
Imagine getting mad cause you can't play on a game someone else purchased. Wild...
?
Yeah. He’d rather pushed to play the game over maintaining the friendship.
