Great video, not just for the expert opinion on this new instrument, but also for the beautiful playing. Enjoyed every moment. Bravo!

Excellent! I was waiting for this review. I suggest you make a comparison video between Volcany and Saxony and Deluxe Steel.

How would you describe the Volcany in comparison to the Symphony 48 in terms of response? And how are the edges around the comb?

The Volcany is the better harp, better tone, better feel in hand, faster response. Edges can be sharp, but I just stone them a bit.

    Dear David.
I have two questions about the SEYDEL VOLCANY following your excellent review.
    1) You wrote that the SEYDEL VOLCANY has "an improved convex button". Is it a button with a valley or with a hill? I think that you produce an agronomic button with hill, is the button of the VOLCANY is also agronomic with a hill?
    2) I have a Seydel Chromatic DE LUXE STEEL. I consider to replace its slider to that of the VOLCANY because its improved button. Will it work (Chromatic DE LUXE STEEL with the VOLCANY slider)??

      Yes, and probably.

Great video David. I have a question for you: which chromatic harmonica do you recommend me? I have a super chromonica and I didn't play it so much because of my fear of getting a reed sticky and not being able to work in it due to the nails of the reed plates. Now I want to learn in a much more professional and deeper way than just playing some harp tabs. I want something that lasts long, without being extremely expensive (maybe I'm asking to much hahaha). I hope you can help me. And I also extend the question to everyone.
    Have a nice day 😊

As this video suggests, I currently play a Seydel Volcany, orchestra tuned. Airtight, beautiful tone...pro harp.

Sounds like it has some PUNCH to it if you feel like leaning on some notes and passages!!
