Besides the poor audio engineering going on in this performance (poor Keiko and Yuriko...), I really enjoyed Kaori as one of the main vocalists, she honestly slayed her parts! And as usual I adore Joelle💕, hopefully we can hear them all perform this once again with the proper audio engineering going on... Overall, I still enjoyed the harmonies going on and can only imagine how amazing they'd sound if the mics were all properly connected!!! Either way, congrats to YK and her utahimes for appearing on the awards and thanks for another amazing performance!!! Love joelle so much💖💕💖💕

Just reminding also that this is Yuki Kajiura's song ( the pianist). Fictionjunction will always be the best. My favorite version but disappointed how the live viewing crew didn't mix audio well. Keiko and Yuriko's microphone weren't turned up properly. *Disappointed However, the mixing in the venue was really great and Kajiura received so much recognition and applause from the audience. Everyone sounded great in the venue. I wish they balanced the audio well. Keiko and Yuriko's mic had issues and also the sounds coming from the manipulator. still, my favorite version so far. They will release the mixed version of this live soon on Crunchyroll. Still, a missed opportunity for the people around the world to see Kajiura's genius in this version. 😆 I am glad Yuki Kajiura is getting recognition she deserves though. -sorry. Had to rant. I would say the that the performers had too little foldback, i.e. couldn't hear themselves properly, either through earpieces or stage monitor speakers. I've worked with live broadcast radio and stage audio, so it's a classic. And the performers actually perfomed better than many I've had in that situation. \*claps\*

Yuki Kajiura, FJ Utahime, and the front members band did their best in this performance. I really love this version. Kaori and Joelle really amazing in the main vocal. Yuriko Kaida and Keiko part is amazing in this song, but sadly I can't hear it clearly because of the low volume from their microphone. Unfortunately I'm a bit disappointed to audio team. Crunchyroll audio team didn't do justice for them. Yuriko Kaida's and Keiko's mic are barely heard and the mixing was not that good. I was expecting more from the audio actually. But I'm still thanking Crunchyroll team for Yuki Kajiura and team performance so this version of Homura happened. YK, FJ Utahime and the front members team deserved more audience and Crunchyroll being one of their way for it.
I am a LOT disappointed because I watched it unfold live! This upload should have fixed it for any follow-up fans who came to watch uploads rather than watch live. Just uploading the bad audio again is not professional.

I was on the live chat and was very unimpressed with how the vocalists of Fiction Junction were presented to a global audience with sub-par engineering, leading to erroneous impressions from listeners who were not familiar with Yuki Kajiura (or know the breadth of her work, which they may have heard before, unbeknownst to them)! A vocal performance written for four voices with alternating harmonies was reduced to a shadow of what it should have been, with the arrangement coming out distorted since voices that were meant to balance out sections were missing or barely audible. It's like having a band with the rhythm guitar inaudible or sound mixed up, giving a false impression that the band is not up to standard, or an acappella group (say Pentatonix) performance with the bass and one of the higher voices not audible - a first time listener will have a wrong impression. Big fail! I expected this to have been uploaded with the correct mix (I am sure you have it recorded or something) but instead someone just cut the video and uploaded as-is. Didn't even try (or maybe not even noticed the issue). Not impressed one bit! 😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠
Think this is a very reasonable reaction. We've been presented with a heartwrenching version from LiSA, and clearly were supposed to be given a performance to atleast somewhat justify that, but the end result was lacking, and to no blame on the artists performing.

FictionJunction is known for their INCREDIBLE harmonies and unique voices and yet none of that can be heard here because of the mixing and you can barely even hear Keiko's lower harmonies and Yuriko's higher ones... so disappointed, especially since it's such a huge opportunity for Kajiura Yuki and the girls.
I think an honorable mention goes to: Taku Iwasaki (his most prominent works are Noragami, second season of JoJo and Ruroini Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal OVA, at least to me). Other than that, I totally agree )
