  • "On March 1 we mark  Zero Discrimination Day,  established by UNAIDS ten years ago to advance equality and fairness for everyone. Global Solidarity has secured progress on human rights and towards equality but this progress is not secure. Attacks on the rights of women and girls, of LGBTQ people, and of other marginalised communities are on the rise," said Winnie Byanyima, UNAIDS Executive Director.
She also added, "In our world of public health, discrimination obstructs HIV prevention, testing, treatment and care, and holds back progress towards the end of AIDS.
It is only by protecting everyone’s rights that we can protect everyone’s health. Through upholding rights for all without discrimination, will we also be able to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, and to secure a safer, fairer, kinder, and happier world - for everyone." #zerodiscrimination
