I cannot effing believe that i got stuck in another video about how to tie a bloodknot for like 10 mins, gave up, find a new video, Found this, and instantly got it in first try..
WDOGEL.... Youn know it, Now the next cool step would be to make a jig of sort, with padded pinch clips , and lone spool holder, use this method and mass Produce your own bottom fishing perch Rigs, or other fish. Maby use springs to keep line taught. See what you can come up with; Good bordom project lol.
@Lewis Dixon Dixon.... its a Training issue, LOL. Some of these Video's , even by well know " You Tube" People, just neglect to use proper lighting, color, contrast, or get their hands in the way, blocking the view. Nobodys Perfect, not Even Lewis/ Gress .....Production Service's. Remember when you spilled Coffee on the Camera last time, LMAO!!!

WOW took me a few tries to get it and yes this will definitely help tying two different lines together, good technique showing with 2 color ropes. Its easy now that I know how :) for fishing!!
As I clicked “Like” it flipped over from 7.9 to 8K! How cool was that? By the way, that was a very easy to follow and clear video. Thank you for posting.
Your Blood Knot Demo: Clear, concise. Many people demonstrating Knot tying should use this video as a guide. They many Times, have a light color background; obscure view with hands , fingers, and preform the task to fast. Great Job!!, Many of us have been tying this knot incorrectly.
I think double "Uni" knot is better than "blood" knots as it ends at the two sides rather than up and down. So if I use Uni line for necklace ending, it will not cause slight discomfort due to the cut and burnt ends. Nevetheless, thank you for a very clear and concise tutorial!
Very true. You need a knot which is easy to tie on the bank, often with the wind and rain howling in your face. I connect two lines together using a triple surgeons knot, which is super simple, yet a surprisingly strong knot
Try 4lb flourocarbon with 8lb braid, it just slips right out when you try to cinch it down. The trick is you have to keep your windings real tight so it grips and clinches when you pull it tight.
@@peteredwards1528 this is as simple as it gets imo, blood knot is just as strong as fg and double uni and way stronger than triple surgeons, you might be disapointed one day if you hook a big bass and lose it to a knot
Great video friend! Nice and slow, good contrasting background and line colors and up close camera angle. U did a good job. Alot of these other youtubers use fishing line and against a bad backdrop etc. And we cant see shit! Why make a video if its not quality. Yours is quality and i say thank u! Ive been wanting to try this knot, now i can.
Geez, I could never do these nots good at first but with they way you use thick cord I could clearly see it all and managed to tie a perfect blood knot first try, fucking love it man
Hi. Is this knot used only for fishing lines? Can it be effectively used to join regular cordage like paracord or climbing ropes? Thanks for sharing. 🙏
What he looked close to paracord. This fishing knot is meant to be thin so it passes through fishing pole loops and doesn’t snag weeds, so there may be better knots for other applications.
Looks like a good knot to tie a 10 pound monofilament leader to 10 braid. It's probably unnecessary to use the double uni or FG for small diameter lines.
Love the blood knot but I'm about fed up. Takes me like 7-10 tries most times. Every once in a while I get it on the first or second try and I'm not doing anything different those times. It always happens on the cinch close....it just pulls apart. The mono just slips out away from the braid.
Same here. Really wish at least one blood knot tutorial video would explain why this happens. We can't be the only one and this is obviously the most common "mistake" being made. Even had someone else in person watch a few videos and try, same results at least 50% of the time.
L P I've gotten better since making this comment. But hell...it happened a few times this morning lol. That was with 15lb floro. For some reason I find it happens more with floro than mono. I'm duality doing 40-50lb braid to 12-15lb maxima mono. That line works about he best with the blood knot. And it's great line too. Unless it's super clear water it's what I have ties on 99% if the time. I think sometimes we focus too hard on the tag ends. I try to hold the tag ends but not try to pull them. I think early on I was tying to pull them as well as the lines. I don't know...like I said it still occasionally happens but not nearly as much with that maxima line.
I believe the blood knot is used for primary for connecting monofilament lines, which might explain why it’s not working as well with the fluro and braid. Also if the lines aren’t the same diameter the blood knot won’t work. So you would need to try a different kind of knot
I never seem to get this one right. My braid generally ends up wrapping at two points on my leader and the leader slips out. Maybe I'm just that stupid?
when you get a chance I would love to hear your feedback on a knot that I invented that I think you will enjoy with snaps and split rings. It has also become one of the favorite knots used by anglers on the Hudson river recently. It's on my channel, or you can look under The "AJ OVERKILL" knot. Thanks again I look forward to your feedback.
This fishermans bend is 50% strong, very simple, and often easy to untie. It is best when both ropes are equal in size. Since these ropes are unequal in size, the double sheet bend is stronger. If you want a very strong permanent bend for equal size ropes, try the blood knot bend with at least four turns. It is a jamming knot.
So easy. For once! Perfect instructions.
I am new to fly fishing and I must say you explained the blood knot so I could understand. Old Chief, Texas
Mate, that is eaisest and easiest to understand of any knot video i ever watched! So ty mate!!!!

Its always better with string to learn

No one is really stuck are they? I'm assuming that your fingers work.😂

Thank you so much. You are the only channel on RUclips who I could find who could accurately and successfully teach me how to tie a blood knot. 👍😎
Nice , learned from the first attempt , thanks!
Great video, got it first try. 2 different color strings and the simple over under wording is what sets you apart .. great vid
out of all the tutorials this is probably the best I ever seen in my life. Great job dude.

Best blood knot video on RUclips
This was exact the knot I needed for a project. Thanks for the lesson!
Clearest how-to video on this knot I found. Subscribed.
This video is Exsactly what I needed!!! unlike others with clear small mono lines can’t see anything but there fingers
First try and its very tight thanks!
Managed to do it from the second try but did it, thank you so much man.
Well done i tried to learn this knot once before and didn't, you did a great job of showing and explaining why and what and how. Thanks
This is the best knot instruction I have ever seen! Thank you for taking the time to share this.
Great video! Nailed it on my first attempt with braid
Wow this is amazing, I just tied this knot in like 5 mins because of you’re video thank you!!!!
As I clicked “Like” it flipped over from 7.9 to 8K! How cool was that? By the way, that was a very easy to follow and clear video. Thank you for posting.
Followed this video and did it first try that was satisfying i need to memorize this knot

Very clear explanation! Thank you!
Absolute amaizing, no bs like other videos and really nicely explained
this video helped me out a lot, thank you
This why I subscribed, because you can count on being able to see how a knot is being tied very clearly . Better than any where else I have found.
You got that right Victor!!, Some of these knot demos drive me nuts.

Took awhile with my fat fingers but finally got it done thanks for the video
Thank you, you are the goat🐐
You just saved my line. Thank you very very much 🥰
Excellent explanation!!!!! I completely understand how to do the knot now. Thank you so much
Very easy knot to tie until you try it with 4 lb monofilament line.
I used 15 pound braided fire line easiest note I ever tied :)

wow best knotting videos on YT! No nonsense and straight to the point, easiest explanation!!! Thumbs up, liked and subscribed 👍 ❤😊
Great simple video, but you do make it look quite easy. Practice practice practice. 👍
This was a great and easy video!!!! Thank you for making that so easy and effortless.
Nicely done. Thanks!
I am a Korean man and I saw it very well.
Thank you! Great video
Very good. Nice detail & direction..
Thank you! Finally able to keep the two damn strings together
Amazing video!

OH MY GOSH!!!! I DID IT WITH 12LB TEST MONO ON THE 3RD TRY WITH ARTHRITIC HANDS (and my tongue). SWEET! THANK YOU SIR
Try a triple surgeons knot Robert, it's a super simple knot to tie even in situ on the bank, yet surprisingly strong
Dude you are totally awesome
Fishing knots will help your camping life aswell
Awesome I just learned a new knot thank you
Geez, I could never do these nots good at first but with they way you use thick cord I could clearly see it all and managed to tie a perfect blood knot first try, fucking love it man
everyone says double uni but this knot is way better
Very clear and made to look easy ... great video .
Best knot i ever seen, thank you :)
I met an older fisherman who swears by this connection.
Took me a hour and half to tie my first blood knot but I now have my first braided line with floro leader ready to hit the river
🎉Thank you so much‼️
Thank you for this
Thanku brother for this video
Well Done. Thanks.
thank you sooooo much bro, you are a life saver
Thank you so much
best tutorial!:)
Thank you sir!!!
great, thanks! I just used to tie my bore snack (gun cleaning rope) back together after it broke. Works awesome!
Very helpful video thx
So good sir
Thank you!
Awesome thank you for sharing
i just connected my first fluro to braid ..thanks
Thanks!!!
Any advice for doing this in the wind with clear 10lb mono to mono thanks.
Could be used for braid to fluo ?
Спасибо. Просто и надёжно.
Great vid. Suggestion. ..add a third filming light to eliminate shadows
Can you join braided line to flourocarbon with this?
Thanks
Pull your tag ends tight before clipping them off. Especially with braided line.
Curious, are you left or right handed?
As a lefty I have found other tutorials on this not to my dexterity.
Beautiful
I find with this knot you need to draw it fast not slow and really pop the knot in place to prevent any undwinding. Lubrication is a must

Try a double uni knot for braid to mono, its become my favorite way to attach a mono leader to braid. I'm typically using 30lb braid to 12-16 lb mono
More wraps
I like it!
What type of rope/cord are you using in this video?
By far the most difficult knot I’ve ever tried to tie. Spent hrs trying to do this even with the walkthrough I cannot get it
Bonehead Junkies I did the same thing but with braid to fluoro and realized you can't do braid to fluoro with this knot
Wrong, works great braid to mono or braid to fluoro. Unless you tie it incorrectly.
Tnx for teaching
got it first try very strong a lot harder to do with mono but very simple
Not the knot I'm looking for, but this is pretty neat.
I can't get my braid to stick to my Fluro. The Fluro pulls through every time. Do people normally have problems with that combination or no
I believe the blood knot is used for primary for connecting monofilament lines, which might explain why it’s not working as well with the fluro and braid. Also if the lines aren’t the same diameter the blood knot won’t work. So you would need to try a different kind of knot
Use an FG knot bud .. you wont have any trouble I promise
@@xchangemuzik5931 thanks ill try it
NICE.
Knot starts at 0:27
Tnx mister 👍
Tks
good
