Notice how they say we've received guidelines... That this is the law. The two words mean different things. But gaslight you to believe it's required to be done for the greater good.
Well said, David. An example of meddling in my area is stopping people putting out household items in good condition for others to take - tables, chairs, mirrors etc. These are placed at the bottom of their drives jutting out on to the pavement. I have a beautiful pine bookshelf that someone put out and I have donated items myself. Now it's classed as fly- tipping and they can impose fines. It's so mean to stop something which was of actual and mutual benefit.
*Hello David* -- Regarding Fly-tipping -That's what these drop-kicks want to happen. They'll will use the fly-tipping problem -- (that they've created) -- to push for more 'surveillance' in order to catch the 'fly-tippers' Secondly - Fly-tipping will add to the general demoralization of the local communities & villages by eating away at the pride locals feel about their little part of the world. Fly-tipping will not only add to the surveillance - it will add another layer of criminal laws that keeps police busy - while major crimes will be left to one side because of lack of manpower.
Hi Pax yes well more than once I know that I have picked up fridges etc from.being tipped in our area. Maybe communities will have to organise themselves if the councils fail in this duty.
ULEZ, LTNs, EVs, Congestion Charges, parking permits, waste disposal permits 3 per year before you are charged. Booking appointments for waste disposal.........it will end up on the street like it always does.
Our Council brought in appointments for the Tip when the virulent virus thing started as a way to "keep people at a safe distance" from each other. However, it is still in place now four years later.
I can see that in the not too distant future we will only be allowed to shop on certain allocated days and in alphabetical order ...with a maximum time to do it in...
Well said David. I believe much of this approach began in Europe. That’s why we wanted to leave. Do you remember the BBC’s April Fool item declaring that the EU was introducing a law to ensure that the tread on shoes was to be a certain depth. We were so used to their daft laws that we believed it!
They will charge for everything soon, my council no longer send a sticky back list of bin dates..to save £ so got a paper one but no dates for garden waste, these will be on line at a later date..hmmmm. oh and then they sent it out on paper..again..way to save money 💰, some local authorities are already putting a surcharge on..😮
@Jaymark-gk4li The one thing, the ONE thing that councils should be responsible for is providing the means to dispose of waste in the most convenient way possible. Waste that fly tipped or other irresponsible methods obviously attracts rats and pests = disease.
you are in a van, so will have to book in . There are so many 'builders' etc that try to dump waste at our cost instead of paying for a skip or whatever . This should be the case, let cars in but vans need controling
Never have a problem. I have a secret weapon, it is called "building relationship with people," a bit of banter and coffee goes a long way! Besides as I said it was household waste!
Usually the people ranking over you just say do not rock the boat. Keep silence . The forms to claim credit are 29 pages and an old person cannot cope with it. Charity such as Age UK would help, but only if there is time. It is a way to stop the old from claiming credit. An old person with bodily malfunction cannot even see one page. So everything is fine. It does not matter. The official line tends to be ‘ we never told you not to claim. ‘
at my village dump I was refused entry cos I did not book an appointment ..(Really....I refused and got escalated to local council.. while arguing with the staff for 30minutes .. there were no other customers..... before you gave your postcode at the kiosk. what a mess... I now go to another council site rather than my local one). BTW ...on climate change .... COP29 ... "live aid" rebranded ... donations did not work to help global poverty.. we are being gaslit!
I think you are wrong, I audit and we check where the waste has gone, it does serve a purpose. Also I work for a council and believe me they are useless in some areas, but after 35 years in the private sector it did amaze me how many services councils are legally required to provide. Unless you work for one you won't realize.
@@georgegently3026 Ok fair comment. Valid. However what purpose does it make other than trying to deal with illegal disposals that the waste appears to be micro managed?
@David_Bizley I think that law abiding public will always behave - the ones that are bothered. The ones that should be bothered, ie the fly tippers or whatever subject (littering for example) will always ignore the rules. It's an age old problem! The consequences for those found fly tipping are worth the risk in their eyes.
@@georgegently3026 Exactly 💯💯 which is why all these micro rules which are aimed at trying to change the behaviour of those who comply makes no difference to those who don't and only serves to frustrate the "good guys'

Good morning Dave this world has gone bonkers mad I remember the good times in 1970 s 1980s.
Ahhhh, the beautiful 70s ☺️☺️☺️
Sad but so true 👍👍
We have the same situation here in Warwickshire and you see more and more fly tipping and the council wonder why.

Spot on. Its all so tragic. Me thinks only God crashing in on us is going to wake people up!

No as you say just another hoop to jump through! Nobody knows why the Council still persists with this system.
@jillscourfield6807 Yes, so interesting. Another example of rules and laws that it seems the numpties are happy to apply but incapable of repealing.
Exactly David.
