JAECOO J6: can Chery make a compelling EV SUV for overseas markets?

JAECOO have released their new J6 EV SUV, also known as the ICAR 03, for overseas markets. We take it for a spin to see if its good enough to compete with the upcoming world of EV SUVs.

Really like this car - would be great for surf trips here in Australia. Do you know if in general these electronic doors have some manual overide on the inside if they fail?

Icar03 lists ground clearance as 170mm yet Jaecoo J6 comes up in searches as 200mm. This could be a terminology difference. I am hoping for decent ground clearance on Aussie version.

Swap the JAECOO Logo on front to a smaller single crest logo and this will sell well all over EU ....

Thanks for this great video. I was wondering if this is the iCar 03. We have the iCar in Costa Rica, the only difference I can see is the useless storage box in the back.

It is not useless, it is mainly used to store wet or smelly things, such as freshly caught fish, car wash supplies, umbrellas, and so on.
