Dude, I think you just showed the main reason why Dragunov mains always like to point blank WR2. These old faithful mains did it because it's trash at range, and had to do the hard stuff not because they want to, but they have to. lol
He literally showed how much he improved in T7 and he was a top-tier character for several seasons and people won tournaments with him. T5(DR) is a game with the highest highs and lowest lows in terms of Character-Tiers. And Dragunov was low-tier in that game. Basically just a character to torture or test yourself with. Dragunov is definitely better in T7 than in T5DR lol
@@KlaeyyWhat you say about T5 having the highest of high tiers and the lowest of low tiers is far more true of T5.0 (or indeed, any game prior to DR) than of DR. DR is the nearest that Tekken has thus far come to being a balanced game in my opinion. Also, I'd say that Dragunov is mid tier rather than low tier in DR. For all that people talk about his comically slow strings, his basic poking is actually pretty good. His d/f+1 is i13, +6 on hit, neutral on block and boasts considerable reach, as do his i12 d/f+4 and his signature d+2 low poke. He also has great whiff punishment, a decent CH game including a safe i12 legit magic 4, as well as b+3, a safe i17 high that CH-launches in this game, and, as mentioned in this video, his u/f+4 gives a full combo, making it an i15 safe mid normal hit-launcher that works on crouching opponents. (Incidentally, these launchers were all gone in the next game, never to return.) His WR+2 was a massive +9 on block. His combo damage was also fairly respectable, if nothing to write home about, though his wall damage was decidedly subpar. I don't think he's as bad as people suggest in this game. His main problems were a lack of decent gap-closing tools (given that his WR+2 had stubby range in addition to being completely linear) and an overall problem with linearity.
And to think that Holeman almost won the T5DR Korean Arcadia Tournament with this character (his position was 3rd) quick question, which emulator do you use to play T5DR?
running 2 should have stayed easily steppable lmfao, its being spammed like crazy
but it doesn't launch on counter hit as well .. I forgot to mention that
OG Running 2 is actually pretty mediocre considering it only knocks down on NH and CH.
I thought it was still
It still is easy to step
Yeah fuck no LOL, deal with it
Oh, right, I remember this from back in the day! The devs simply opted for speeding up many of Dragunov's moves.
exactly
I still remember him in T5DR and, despite not being super fast, he was still pretty fun. in T6 got a lot better, though.

Armor King was trash here, too
No he wasn’t trash. He was mid tier. Not broken but not weak either.
And jin
And bruce
Armor king is almost always bad
@@shads123 except tekken 1, tekken 2, tekken tag 1, tekken 6, and tekken tag 2
Maaan I never liked Dragonuv but watchin this almost makes me feel for his pains 😭😭😭
:(
8 framers made his life hell in this game
Damn discord notification. Almost made me pull my hair out :)
I thought it doesn't record within the recordings
I still can't believe Drag's debut is pretty mid that time, and since Tekken 6 came out, he got instantly better on every games.
true
If he started of being pretty mid, then he ended up having no mids now
Thank you for ur vids. Im a fresh tekken Player, and it's always interesting to me watch old iterations of characters
At least he is in Tekken 8 now
my pleasure^^
I know this is probably upscaled pc gameplay but it still looks really good for its age
But he got a lot better in tekken 6 and tag 2 but in tekken 7 he was strong at first but got nerfed to oblivion

These old faithful mains did it because it's trash at range, and had to do the hard stuff not because they want to, but they have to. lol
haha
other reason is that it doesn't track well in every game
Dragunov didn't have f3 into crouch dash till Tag 2 lol. Also you got the notation for b4,2,1 wrong haha.
yeah
my bad
that running 2 anination looks like a kid tryna punch u lmao his later anination made it look sick
hes always been underwhelming in the older games but man his combos are cool
he looks like hes moving in slow mo in this game a lot of his strings and attacks feel slow,im glad they changed his animations in tekken 6
animations were the same but speed was faster
This game looks soooo much nicer than 8
it's clean
Supercharged is my favorite DR stage and song
DR stages look very good
You thought T5DR Dragunov was bad? See Dragunov in T7. Man literally has no mids!

What stage mod was used @ 1:20
Jdcr not approved
xD
Jin was garbage also 😢..
Oh dear 🙄
I don't get it.
he is very weak here in this game
running 2 is useless and look at those slow strings..
@mwkan772 okay I guess.
Jdcr disagree with you.

quick question, which emulator do you use to play T5DR?
rpcs3
Damn d2 being 0 on hit feelsbadman
Still better than nina s d2
Most quick lows are negative on hit, and this one is an unsteppable high crush that forces crouch. What are you complaining about?
it's always like this haha
so im learning him for nothing :(
Why are you playing Tekken 5 though?
tekken 8 is coming
from the trailer he seems very good
so better keep learning him
@@TheJakeJackson im not 😂
