Thanks, Jon. I haven't used Sublime for years, happy to see it's still going. Same with UltraEdit. Now it's Notepad++ and VSCode. For more power when replacing its dnGrep. Things change but we still do all the same stuff as always. Our ability to communicate across the world improves while the garbage they send to our screens as entertainment deteriorates. Got that off my chest. 😄
Reaper is constantly crashing when I use Melodyne5 Assistant. Are you aware of any problems using Melodyne in Reaper? My PC is fairly new and has no problems till I start working extensively in Melodyne. Then, after a few minutes it just crashes. Any ideas? Thanks
I'm new to the way DAWs find sources or paths, I wanted to have Reaper back up my PPR files on my D drive, only to find this was where they would launch from, I am also new to installing plug ins , I have got a few that worked no problem but following Kenny's video on Piano one I tried EVERYTHING so I think to get it to work with no luck thinking THIS might be my problem that Reaper just isn't finding where I put it and I put it in quite a few different places I THOUGHT might work and did rescans and still couldn't find it. hopefully I can get this to to help me.
WOW!!! That's so simple as click one time! ...oh, what? It's like must be a NASA engineer? ...oh, boy... This procedure works fine for Mac users... ...I'm on Windows... Man, I prefer to hire someone to do that for me... ...and send the bill to the Reaper team...
@@TheREAPERBlog Thank you very much for your attention and kindness in answering me. Hi Jon, my media explorer is not showing newly rendered or live bounced files. Before it always updated right away when new files are added. Do you have any ideas how to fix this issue? thanks
I deleted an old project and it's files and new project using the recordings void of all old tracks that were linked or somthing and now it's all gone do I need to just find the new path
do you know if there is a practical way to render stems of groups for example group vocals group guitars etc. if they contain 3 tracks every group how can i render only one wav file like a stem? sorry if its confusing
easy if each group is in folder tracks. just select all the folders and render as stereo stems. worst case scenario you solo each group and add to the render queue.

Omg, UltraEdit, haven’t used that for over 10 years :D to edit in hex. And sublime text, now all in vscode haha.
Sick fix! Lovely!
Wow.. Incredibly helpful Jon, thanks!
Thanks, Jon! Didn't even know what a database was, in the ME. That's dope.
Woah, great video mate!
I like any video that introduces users to the world of advanced text editors. Also excellent and free is Notepsd++.
BROOO thankyou so much, this really helped and the tutorial was really easy to use as well :)
That was great. Thank you.

@@marceloribeirosimoes8959 on the left side you rt-click and make new database, then rt-click and add path to database. all subfolders are included

if you delete the database you lose your custom tags and uncommitted metadata, which I did not want to lose, I also had many databases to process.

It’s confusing to refer to a file that is a list of items as a database even though technically i suppose it is accurate
I wish its get work
Why are 98% of my tutorial gears
