I never paid much attention to Egypt before despite my love for the history of the ancient world, but this game made me fall in love with this ancient and beautiful land, its history and culture, and everything that surrounds it. I hope to see it with my own eyes one day.
I remember someone said this track describe Egypt being only ruled by Foreigners, after the glory days of Egypt ended, the New Kingdom of Egypt fell into decline, broken into mini kingdoms or states, and ruled by Non-Egyptians like the Libyans, Nubians and Assyrians. Eventually Egypt was ruled by a native Egyptian dynasty afterward, but that would be the last time Egyptians control their own land after the Persians, Greeks, Romans and the Arabs, Egypt was never ruled by a native Egyptian for the next thousand years, and this song reminded me of that.
Very Mysterious piece. Reminds me a moment in the game when Bayek fails again and again to discover who is the Crocodile, one of the most mysterious villains in Origins.
