Boy she really does know what she's talking about. It's nice to see someone selling RVs who actually understands them. You're convincing us more and more to buy an Outdoors RV and we would get it here if we did.
Thank you Matt & Diana for showcasing THOMPSON RV in Pendelton, OR. Corrin Thompson is the ne plus ultra of sales professionalism, with deep knowledge of her product line and a persona that resonates warmth, character and integrity. How proud her parents Bob & Carolyn must be. Nothing will ever replace old fashioned values. I hope to visit their dealership someday soon. Best wishes in all future RV'ing, personal, and business endeavors to all. Happy Trails, phil🇺🇲👍🍀
I have the Mountain series 2019. I did not purchase at Thompson RV so no reflection on them. Every window but one has leaked, the big rear dinette window was installed at factory with no sealant so it just rattled around in the wall loose, the entire window had to be replaced. The tail lights filled with water so much I just drilled a hole in the bottom of the lens for a drain. On the maiden voyage arrived at campground to find rear trailer tire with no tread, completely skinned off from a bent axle. No off road, nothing but smooth freeways. When I called factory for help the service guy actually said "that's not our problem, call Dexter Axle ". To start the generator I just leave the wires exposed and touch them together like your hot wiring a car. Waiting for new switch for 6 months. Now out of warranty. So folks just remember Outdoors RV is just another company that has big talk up front with nothing once the sale is made. These are just the highlights.
Another quality video. ORV didn’t make our short list cause it’s on our “only list”. We’ve researched manufacturers non-stop for 2 years and they are hands down exactly what we are looking for. Great camera work Diana and Corrin was great. Sorry Matt, didn’t notice you in the video. 😉
I have watched many videos of the people from Thompson RV. This young woman seems extremely knowledgeable always seems professional in the way she dresses and in the way she presents her product. She has helped me to get a grip on the world of RV and for me she has set the bar high for the local sales people that I have to deal with. I had one sales person dress in ratty jean, old T shirt that more than showed his beer belly, and he did not look like he had shaved in days. As I was leaving I stopped in the office and told the manager what I had encountered and suggested they make all their employees watch the Thompson RV vids.
There the BEST RV Dealer I have ever dealt with after 28 years RVing ( truck campers, trailers ,motor Home , 5th wheels , ) We bought ours last summer July 9th 2020 Glacier Peak ,F27MKS Titanium WE watched and a lot more before buying .This Dealer is the Best, Drive how ever far . To deal here Paul and Priscilla Reich
So much good info. I’m impressed with the quality and the personal help they give. This company is definitely on the top of my list in my search. Thanks for doing this tour and sharing.
This brand has some strong points of you camp in cold weather. Their tanks are enclosed, the tanks valves are enclosed too, and the enclosed area are heated by ducts from the heating system. If you have camped with trailers that have 12v heated tanks, you wake up freezing with dead batteries.
I will be being an ORV at retirement. They are quality rigs. Matt and Diana, thank you for another great video. Corrin, you are absolutely beautiful!!!
Here are the things we talk about in this video. You can jump to a specific part by clicking timestamp if you are not interested in the whole video (though you should, you will learn a lot ;)

Great video! Thank you for sharing your experiences while visiting Thompson RV! We live in CO; these Outdoors RV models look like a great option for this part of the country! Safe travels!
Fell in love with Outdoors RV before I found your channel * a bonus! As you explained in your video ORV only make a small number of the Glacier Peak 5th Wheels and I couldn’t find one in the Titanium Series anywhere close to me . . . . Surfing the internet I found Corrin’s walkthrough of the GP F28RKS on RUclips. Several phone calls later I’m on the road to Pendleton, OR and I am now a happy member of the Thompson RV and ORV Families!!
Nice job Matt & Diana and of course its always great to see Corrin from Thompson RV. We drove from Minnesota to purchase our 2019 260RLS Titanium sight unseen. We definitely put our faith in Thompson RV to come through for us and they definitely hit a home run. It tows really well and within days had it at 9500 ft in the Teton pass snow and sleet! Effortless! The crew at Thompson had taken the time to go over the unit and test everything. They even ran the furnace to save us the initial heat up horrors of smoke in the rig. I have had absolutely zero problems with our trailer after 4000 plus miles. Quality RV, Wonderful dealer and this video is a great explanation for those who are considering purchasing. Great job! Tim & Jean Taylor
If they don't have one for sale you're looking for they are very likely to have a sold one to view. For a smaller dealer they have some inventory of high quality products.
During my 3 years of research and finally dialing in on my 2019 270RKS, I looked at a lot of trailers on Thompson’s website. I like that ORV doesn’t flood every lot with their dealership and seem to pick quality dealers to allow to sell their product. I lived in Chico when I bought mine and Mike Friend’s is a small dealership that sells ORV (and now Lance since the dealership burned down in the Camp Fire). Mike Friend’s is also a family run business! They’re highly regarded by the area and I absolutely love them. Glad to see ORV seems to pick these types of dealers! Now I’m in Missoula and the ORV dealer here is super awesome as well! PS I primarily Boondock in my 270 :^)
"Stout" that's a good word. I always used the term "Built like a tank". We were one of those "Midwestern" people who drove 4500 miles RT to pick our Timber Ridge unit up from Thompson RV back in the fall of 17'. We were "looking" for a new RV for 18 months. A little bit of a FYI here. While looking at 2018 Timber Ridges at another dealer, they had the "large" Timber Ridge" decal on the sides of the trailer. When we finally bought or 2018 TR a few months later from Thompson, after the walk-thru, and paperwork, we drove over the mountain to a La Grande campground that afternoon. I couldn't get "something" out of my mind. I didn't know what it was. I thought we covered everything in the walk-thru....something just wasn't right....I would walk around and around the exterior of the unit, not knowing what I was trying to find. Here, midway thru the 2018 model year, they ( Factory) took the large "Timber Ridge" decals off the sides of the trailer, and replaced it with "Mountain Series" decals. Even the picture off Thompson RV website showed the large TR decals. I guess ORV wanted to promote trim level (Mountain Series / Titanium) over the actual model. I ended up buying two decals from ORV ($60) and put them on. We were so impressed with the build quality and stout-ness, we bought the unit first, and took the factory tour the next day....The following summer I was the first "wagon-master" for the 1st annual ORV East Coast Rally.
Wow, that's quite a trek for you to go to Thompson RV! And I'm glad you were able to get the decals from ORV. Have there been ORV East Coast Rallies every year since the first one?
I have been looking at the fifth wheel, and honestly, this video confirms that I have found the right product. Very helpful & informative video. Appreciated Diana’s (?) knowledge & enthusiasm.
I was so fixed on a g25 g series grand design and prepared to leave 10k down on one in december. I am now looking further into this brand as I think I've found something even more durable and still has all the luxuries grabd design offered. Thanks
I'm living in a 1997 Nash 19b and it has the knife rack, and the full upper drawer around the sink. Northwood started out a great product 23 years ago, and was innovative from the start. It was 32 degrees last night and I was comfortable
I really like the backcountry series, my only complaint is the generator being housed below the bed......why not put it in the rear, away from the bed?
Oh just wait, they didn't factor the weight of the generator in at factory, it's hanging outside the frame bolted to the plywood floor. It will soon start to fatigue the floor and the whole corner of trailer will start to droop rather like Paris Hiltons sleepy eye.
All great information and the quality appears to be awesome.. 2 questions: Is full body paint available? Also: can we order with white cabinets? Looks like a great product. Thanks for the video!
This is probably the only trailer brand and model that can replace my Flagstaff 25brds. That titanium series looks awesome. Would love a similar replacement for my 25brds with a generator.
When is ORV planning on opening a dealership near the East Coast? I live in NC and the closest for me is Arkansas 777 miles away. I would certainly drive that far but it would be nice to walk through one before taking the trip.
I'm not sure, I haven't heard about any specific plans, maybe give them a call? Btw, did you know there is Outdoors RV Owners (and prospective owners) group on FB? There are some owners from the east coast in it too: facebook.com/groups/193443264489835/
@CorrinThompson, it must have been my lucky day, i just ended up on this site, hearing an angel. I have a question is there any way that back in 2003 ish you guys took over the Tahoe TranSport hybrid toy-hauler model 20TB TT. Ramp in the rear and the folding Bed Door [tent 80x60] out thru the front, two jack knife couches in back. It start as a THOR, they were taken over or sold to , MVP 2003+, i lost all connect in 2021 when i got her, she need some TLC to make her shine again, if there is anything you can tell me about 2003 THOR/MVP 20TB, OR A DIRECTION TO GFO, I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER.
Thompson RV is awesome. I've stopped in there a lot on my travels. I bought a Nash 22H from them and then almost bought a 21RBS two years ago. Bank said my income wasn't high enough in their opinion, so they denied my financing after the initially said I was good to go.
Why don’t they make the numbers match the trailer length instead of the bed length? I drove 100 miles because the salesman insisted it was a 26’ unit, when I got there it was really a 32’ unit.
What would you recommend as starting point at look at for F150 towable, relatively short? Options for genie, solar, 12 frig? Be driving from FL. Thanks
There's a lot of variation in weight ratings on F-150s, so double check carefully what your truck is capable of. This blog post might be useful for you: www.adventurousway.com/blog/why-we-love-our-ford-f-150 In general, it's likely that your biggest restriction on an F-150 will be the payload - particularly if you're planning to have several passengers and / or things in the truck bed. As such, you'll be wanting to look at the smaller trailers. We've been towing a 21RBS with our F-150 for over 2 years of full-time RVing now.
Very impressive, so many great features. I just wish they would use lighter colors, especially on the walls. Although high quality, the decor looks very dated.
I believe their Creek Side trailers, like our 21RBS, are amongst their lightest weight RVs but even these aren't exactly light! www.outdoorsrvmfg.com/creek-side/
The big tank sizes were one of the reasons we were drawn to Outdoors RV in the first place - even on our 25ft 21RBS we have a 40 gallon grey tank and 40 gallon black tank, not to mention a 78 gallon fresh tank. With those size tanks, two of us can comfortably live off-grid for 2 weeks at a time.
Yea but notice they dont mention, that they pinch-roll their side walls, there not vacuum-bonded sidewalls, nor do they use azdel, so good luck with long-term use without delamination
Outstanding presentation/walk through.. Question; Will Outdoors RV in the near future offer the Trail series in the Titanium version? I believe that would really be a big hit...!
Don’t buy a Lance!!! We had one and the awning was difficult, and the slide was very flimsy!!!! It kept getting stuck and wasn’t made well. We own an Arctic Fox now.
@@donnasceviour5647 Far better customer service!! When your warranty is up, Lance will pretend as if you don't exist and will wipe their hands clean of you. Our 2019 is have issue after issue and they could care less. Long story short. ORV is looking pretty good at this point, and wished we would've gone with them over Lance.
Hmmm, Ifounzd their pricing to be high ... ie I purchased a outdoors rv for $14000.00 cheaper for more trailer than they offered @ &91000.00 out the door🤔
Hard to find a trailer between a Winnebago Micro Minnie, Grand Design, Lance, and this less than 22' long, torsion axle, 2.5" lift, without a slide and no side-bed. If they use torsion axles, they will be better, but of course, axle less is the best for true off-road.
Have you seen BlackSeries? They have axle less trailers, the HQ15 model is about 22' long and a no side-bed: www.blackseriescamper.com/travel-trailers/hq15.html But I agree, it's hard to find a small trailer with a no-side bed. That was one of our requirements too. We looked into modding our trailer to be axle less but decided it wasn't necessary for our use case.
I live in Florida and want to sell my condo and buy a van or small C . Where do I reach a showroom or lot that represent good honest quality. No glam just basic for full time and ability to boondocks.
We lived in California, so I am not sure about dealers in Florida. But Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa is coming up in January. Big RV shows are a great place to check out lots of RVs because dealers usually don't carry a very large range of manufacturers. www.frvta.org/show/florida-rv-supershow/ After you decided which manufacturer RV you want to buy, then find a dealer that carries that manufacturer (and read dealer reviews).
Was impressed with this brand after watching the factory tour but then I read reviews on RV insider. It seems their final clean up and QA inspection was a big story and then supposedly again when it reaches the dealer. Reviews do not coincide with that story.
Thank you Matt and Diana!! We feel so blessed that you chose to visit our dealership!!!
Thanks for having us over! It was fun to film with you.

That's a very good observation! Indeed that doesn't seem a fortune place for a generator.
Oh just wait, they didn't factor the weight of the generator in at factory, it's hanging outside the frame bolted to the plywood floor. It will soon start to fatigue the floor and the whole corner of trailer will start to droop rather like Paris Hiltons sleepy eye.

No, Outdoors RV makes sturdy trailers that are built for 4 seasons so none of them are lightweight.

Be nice if outdoors rv would sell direct like escape does instead of using a place like this that blows up the cost 20%+....
Do you sell in Ontario Canada?
You can find the dealers on the website: outdoorsrvmfg.com/find-a-dealer-3/
