I played arc ignite two leagues ago (on a chieftain), it was a solid mapper, I was tempted to league start it this league. Very good archetype, that I will almost certainly play again in the future.
He has lots of Arc ignite league start videos that are still relevant today but posted several months ago. However, most are mana stacking builds, unless you like those
I arc'ed this league with burden of shadows. benefit of the build is that the added spell damage also applies to vaal arc (which arcmage doesn't). Works also great as a forbidden rite pathfinder if it weren't for the dot cap.
I didn't push any character this league. I grinded like crazy last league for the challenges and the life skin. So this league I'm juste testing stuff getting them to lvl 90/92 ish. Guess that's gonna be my 7th char hahahah
Same man, same lol I dunno what it is about this league but I haven't wanted to push into hard content at all just hasn't been fun when I've tried it. Trying new stuff tho, always feelin good
Did you PoB a version with The Utmost? Seems like a really good fit. Although it's probably hard to replace the + gem levels somewhere else without dropping nebulis
It means actual resistance above 75%. So if you have 90 max res and 200% res (a whopping 110% above your max or 90%), you get 15 “resistance above 75%”. The overcap res doesn’t do anything. If you have 90 max res and 75 res (because you need more res to reach your 90 cap), you get 0 “resistance above 75%” There are other mods in the game that reference “uncapped” resistances which work differently to this.
Resistance above 75 means max res. If it were uncapped the wording would read "uncapped resistance" above. PoE can be very confusing but the wording is almost always extremely specific albeit confusing in certain context for sure. Understanding exactly what the wording means is very difficult at times but once you've done a build or two utilizing certain things like this you will start to pick up on it more (I also thought it meant uncapped before lol)
I was playing archmage i tried t17 map without any dmg mod. I got so much hp es a little armor about 30% phys conversion to ele and still i was oneshoted by 1 attack or 2. I could tank shaper but i couldnt tank mob at t17. I was doing some maven invitation and this is good change but that t17 tbh broke whole league even faster than juicing map at affliction league. As for a build it is good still ek ignite better but this version offer kinda different playstyle so it is nice. I think losing 2 op ring just to be able to convert dmg is a big loss if we compare it to ek ignite. Every ighite build is solid just pick what seems to be cool.
Yeah I’m playing ek ignite with relatively high budget (synth bow, mageblood, etc.) and it’s the best normal mapping build I’ve ever played but it gets absolutely wrecked by t17’s - can’t even touch them unless I go full shrines + legion for hh buffs… but then they’re not worth doing at all - much better off just selling the maps to the select few that can run them with back to basics mf.
This league is shit imo. Close to being good but so many nerfs it feels they make the game based around the 1% that play for a living. That on top of having 75-85% of skills being useless because they can’t compete is killing my love for the game. I wish they’d stop adding new ones and restructure what we have. One thing this leagues good for is trying new new builds or under used skills so I’ll definitely give this a go.

If I want to "league start" or play a pre-mageblood version of this build which of your past arc ignite builds would you suggest?

I league started archmage arc ignite elementalist 2 times already and always had a blast with 0-15d invest.
I league started once a vaal arc ignite with Martyr of Innocence (after nerf). Felt great. Slap on a replica emberwake and you are good to go.

Maybe you can do it with the new flask Belt?

The Utmost doesnt do alot, its easy to get 90% max res, the cast speed and pen doesnt do alot and we dont go for spell suppression either.
