Oggi piú che mai rapidi, questi capricci videro il giorno presso la società del scondo impero (che concepí la Traviata e si cretette l'erede della vecchia aristocrazia). Quanto precede è ben reso. Bravissimi e bravissimi tutti!

Eine tolle "La Traviata " mit einer hervorragenden Besetzung vor allem Olga Peretyatkova und Alfredo Giacomotti, wunderbares Orchester und tolle Inszenierung von Rolando Villazon. Ganz große Oper.
I feel Peretyatko will one day have a heavy, dramatic voice. I always get the sense that she's holding back and singing lighter roles than she could. Maybe it's my imagination, because here her voice sounds rather small. Her Four Last Songs with Dmitry Liss is stupendous - these are very hard songs and the voice has to have great steadiness, line and beauty. She surpasses most other singers in those songs, imo. But I have yet to hear her approach that level again. Maybe the greatness of that performance is because of Liss. What else does she excel in? Her timbre is beautiful and her low and high notes are great. Yet here she sounds not quite up to the music.
Eine Vorstellung mit Zwei Violettas wirkt befremdlich.Olgas Vortrag war grossartig , die der anderen Saenger auch und hat fuer die absurde Vorstellung entschaedigt. Das Publkum war begeistert,die Saenger allen voran Olga wurden gefeiert.
Bravi i cantanti, soprattutto la Peretyatko, la cui voce ammaliante, seducente, molto particolare, mi è sempre piaciuta. Bella anche la voce di Piazzola, non male il tenore. Per quanto riguarda la scenografia stendiamo un velo pietoso: disturba e distrae dal vero dramma di Violetta.
Why the the insistance of changing and bring to comtemporery times world famous operas it makes them lose the intention of the composer thus also losing its glitter so to speak.l for one won't go to operas that have been transformed. Es exactamente lo contrario de lo que dice: sólo la actualización de este arte completo llevará a su supervivencia. Como referente, la más bella Traviata jamás representada: la de Willy Decker de 2005 en Salzburg, con Anna Netrebko y Rolando Villazón como protagonistas. Muchísimas personas han comenzado a aficionarse a la ópera después de verla. La ópera historicista, lóbrega y acartonada morirá con los que la defienden , que afortunadamente ya son pocos.

Just think, Violetta originally looked more like Nell Gwyn than Madame Bovary. I agree that this production looks ridiculous but what production is faithful to Verdi's intentions? Visconti's famous Callas production at La Scala brought the action to the late 19th century with costumes looking more Gilded Age than Bourbon restoration which is when the real Marie Duplessis (La Dame aux Camélias) lived. What ever you do, it's interpretation. Dumas, Piave, Verdi, but which one is most convincing and also which speaks best to the audience it's intended for?

Vergonzosa puesta en escena y una falta de respeto a Giuseppe Verdi en toda la línea...pésimo Villazón y sus ideas "vanguardistas" ridículas, a la soprano le falta mucho aún para una dramática, el tenor ahí nomás y el barítono parece una estatua...todo mediocre o malo y eso es todo...gracias.
El señor Villazon fue un tenor fantástico y espero quedarme con ese recuerdo y no él de esta puesta ridícula y espantosa. Exelente Piazzola. Peretyatko aún no es Violeta y posiblemente nunca lo será a pesar de que es una buena cantante. El director es como dicen los ingleses "a run of the mill ". Tenor existió en las dos últimas escenas. VERDI SE MERECE MÁS y el público también

Ayan has got good voice but here he is out of tune much of the first act. On the other hand Piazzola was superb
