He's certainly a good actor...he could present different vibes into his smile and his eyes. In the past he also liked teasing her, acting like a hooligan... but one can still see that he was only fooling around with her and he was still only pampering her and teasing her like a brother to a little sister... basically rather similar vibe that Sangyan had with her.
But now...his smile and the way he looks at her surely give different vibes... One can see that he's flirting with her...and she's blushing... it reminds me of my highschool moments when I also had a crush hahahahha

He began to think that she's no longer only a kiddo when she was capable to look after him when he was hospitalized. The thought that his jokes upset her as well as his boss advice on how he should treat her more carefully as she's a grown-up now seem to quite bothering him that he started to think more.
Then voila, the wholesome first snow sequence happen as a wake up call to him to realize and start seeing her in a completely different light. That she might be the rock he needed all these times, the safe space he's been yearning to have all his life. The drunk bittersweet confession is a seal how he surrender and acknowledging his developed romantic feeling towards her, the thought that he could not bear letting others taking care of her...aww.
Nevertheless, he took the courage to pursue her after confirming that she might secretly like him due to Qian Fei take after testing the water (the whole flirting on wedding-car-airport), however his guess solely cover the possibility of their mutual attraction on the entire timeline after both encounter in Yihe (her college freshman days).
Even after they are officially dating, he still has no idea at all about a longtime crush that she's been nursing on him since their time together back then in Nanwu on her high school days.
