Watching your drumming to these Senser tracks not only illustrates how you have a very distinctive, and underrated style, it also shows how much you contribute to their sound. Total respect.
Remember seeing this song being played for the first time at the top of the nme field at Glastonbury early 90’s. The small wooded area was sheeted off with big white sheets and they were playing with a genny on the back of a flatbed. The sound was unreal and very ravey then also. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t dreaming 🤣
TheNarkyc , absolutely right. I remember it too. Back to the planet played as well. Back when people could set up unofficial stages and sound systems at Glastonbury. Them were the days eh ? !!
Coming to see you guys play in Manchester on April 16th, looking forward to it, last time I saw you I had to watch the gig with eye closed cause I was that pissed the room was spinning when I opened both, I've grown up a bit now i'm 41! lol
@johnnysenser I'll keep working on it, I realise that I'm never going to be Buddy Rich as my left hand speed is too slow by comparison to my right. The weird thing is that both of my feet are excellent, I can pull off nice flicks with both, ah well, I'll keep practicing. Thanks for the advice and keep up the good work.
@totalshowman Thanks very much. I'll be doing some more soon. Watch out ! Just looking at your favourites, I think we could be separated at birth. Billy Cobham, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Alan Partridge, Herzog, The Pierces. All good ! cheers. jm
Always top notch......Just out of interest is your left hand as quick as your right? I'm half speed on my left and have to spend hours of para diddle training to improve.
@badboybubby1969 I wish my left was as good as my right. It's something you just have to keep working at . My left has the same power but maybe not the accuracy/speed. Try practicing open handed, so your left is playing the hihat pattern instead of your right, also practice single strokes in groups of 3, 4, 5, 6 etc on each hand and then mix them up. eg: LLL RRR LLL RRR LLLL RRRR LLLL RRRR (REPEAT) etc. cheers
brilliant! more drums and samples
