We tried Viu restaurant last week. Really great and the best buffet I have tried deserve to be no. 1 in your best buffet in Bangkok. Thank you Thaifoodies Co for your channel . your channel and reviews really helps a lot
Hi brian this is much way helpful. I will try your top 5.. specially your number 1... and the honorary mention..:) keep it up.. i am one of your first 20 subscriber..
I am a new subscriber and really enjoy your videos. You guys are a class act and the real deal. You have opened my eyes to all the food opportunities in Bangkok. Thanks.
Your review is fantastic for a superb buffet on Bangkok. They are mouth watering experience to out outenjoy and will be going there soon. During this pandemic is it possible to order take out as I am very conscious of what to eat due to medical reason.
Some really interesting choices. My wife and I enjoy doing personal reviews and rankings after all of our buffet visits; honorable mentions to Rain Tree dinner buffet (upscale excellence) and Meridian Surawong weekday lunch (variety and value) - and now we have another informed perspective! St Regis definitely on the list and Maya for a wild card choice. Thanks and happy eating.
Do you also give culinary food tours in Bangkok? (Or other cities in Thailand). I’m planning to visit Thailand after summer 2019 for months I’d like to meet you Guys. I love the culinary as being a chef in gastronomic restaurants international.
Went to the Viu because of your recommendation and we felt a little let down. The service was excellent and free flow of lobsters. However, the lamb cutlets and the steak are no longer available which was disappointing. The other food available was very nice. In retrospect, we think we would of liked to choose one of your other recommendations.
Thanks for the update. We are also disappointed that you didn’t enjoy as much as anticipated. Our visit to VIU was about 7 months ago so changes have clearly taken place. We will do our best to remind everyone to call ahead to ensure that everything reviewed is still on the menu. Glad you liked the lobster and free flow wine. We did! Thanks for watching!
Whilst I like your vlogs and I like food, I could never, even if I won big on the lotto, find myself paying those prices. Instead I will learn their names and try to recreate at home. I love to cook even if I have failures.
Hey any recommendations on Thai fine dining in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, I am looking for an absolute fine dining restaurants. Price is not an issue at all. :)
We went to the st regis buffet based on your recommendation ............ However, it seems they have changed a bit from your video/advert. Although there was a lot of lobster dishes there was no alive lobster to be selected. (like in your video)...... most of the none lobster dishes were a bit poor ......only come here if you like lobster..... We also found the buffet area a bit on the small side with very limited choices (outside the 10 lobster dishes).
Know of any Indian lunch or dinner buffets in Bangkok for pretty cheap? 200-300 baht or less? Or any Indian places that offer cheap takeout: one curry plus one nann for around 100-150 baht? Bangkok seems to be lacking where this is concerned.
1500 baht for the Amari Watergate seems expensive when you consider how much food you could buy elsewhere in Bangkok for that sort of money (ie 80-120 baht per main at a food court - even a nice one like Central World)
Can't at all imagine how superbundant Thailand is to offering the really best and nearly all the resources to certain class of people who don't play the very signi- ficant role in boosting the GDP like men power class like us who serve as the majority. Sad for us to always struggle to make ends meet.
I agree with you 100%. My wish is these people that do these "Blogs" find places that anyone can go and eat not just the double RICH! 2800Bhat is over a week's wages for MOST working Thais staying in Bangkok!!!
I will be looking forward to your next video. The question I have is about drinks. In Hong Kong, most Sunday brunch have a Champagne option at about 20% extra
The extra cost of free flow wine or champagne varies from hotel to hotel. We have seen it as low is 500 baht all the way up to 1,500 baht. 20% I think is a bit low for Bangkok in terms of percentage of the buffet cost. You should assume 40-50% at least. This is due in most part to the high taxes Thailand puts on imported alcohol.
It is the tax. Hong Kong buffet pricing is higher than Bangkok but the city has no tax on wine. The brunch at JW Marriott is about US$ 110 with Champagne option.I heard a lot of bad things about Bangkok airport duty free scam. Is that still the case?
I don’t know that duty free in Thailand is a scam per se but I know that the discount is not significant. I usually buy my wine in Hong Kong but I’m limited to just a single bottle!
Like your videos, but just can't eat at buffets in certain countries. The cultures are different and what's acceptable grosses me out. I have noticed that people in Asian countries have no problem picking up food with their hands to smell of fell the texture and putting it right back on the buffet. Happens in Vietnam also. I'm like how is that ok? The dim sum place would work.
800 baht is more my price range. Im not a big fan of sea food but the friend im going with doesnt like sea food at all if any...these are not going to be the places for me
why the hell, as your girl friend goes past the food trays is she touching, picking up, examining, then returning the food. Others in revulsion start wondering how often she walks out of using the toilet without washing her hands....that would be a dead maych to this revolting behavior.; maybe picking toes under the tables, or scratching an annoying itch at the crotch from an old half dead pimple. Gad, I'll find another video and another panderer of less offensive videos.
We are going to Thailand in Aug 22 . Your video is so healful and come in handy. Thank you!
We tried Viu restaurant last week. Really great and the best buffet I have tried deserve to be no. 1 in your best buffet in Bangkok. Thank you Thaifoodies Co for your channel . your channel and reviews really helps a lot
Thank you Raymond!
Is the lobster still all you can eat or just 1 per person?
All you can eat, no limit, at The VIU buffet we reviewed but as always call ahead to make sure. Thanks for watching!
I Love Seafoods in General 🥰💙🦀🦞🦐🦑 !!!! From Down Under ( Australia )........Pete . A " Like " from me as well 😊😊 !!!
Love your videos - we live in Bangkok and have been checking out some of your recommendations! Hoping you can share some more buffet videos soon!
Fantastic, now I have a clear road map to the best buffet in Thailand. Thanks guys. FYI, I'm a DimSum Abalone killer on the side.

No raintree cafe? Cuz to me that was the best in bkk or perhaps I need to try your recommendations to truly know the best as I haven't tried these.
Wow good information
Why not put links to your previous reviews......which ones have an option of unlimited drinks ( for additional price?)

Hi babe and Brian loving your videos as always 😁,have you ever thought about reviewing food in Chiang mai ?
Hi Richard, we would love to but it’s difficult for all three of us to coordinate travel at the moment but stay tuned!
Thanks for add spots why I go there.

What about best budget buffet?
Zeta Cafe at Holiday Inn Sukhumvit is a great value buffet. Check out our video review

I like the top 5
Yummo!
for general buffets special japan food.
Why is it expensive? It’s more expensive than here in USA LOL But looking forward for our trip this Nov
In my opinion the Mandarin Oriental has the best buffet on the Riverside.
Awesome
Thanks Arthur!
Great video , but make it 7 on 7 th place Sky Bayoki . Great food and great view over BKK, 81 floors up
Haha she says "ONLY xx Baht" for the prices....Rename this "Top 5 if You're Rich" ...these are all pretty Expensive - far above average price.
Rawl R what?! Look at what you’ll get at that price I don’t see any problem with that.
okay so maybe "top 5 for an occasion and you want to splurge"
I agree with you 100%. My wish is these people that do these "Blogs" find places that anyone can go and eat not just the double RICH! 2800Bhat is over a week's wages for MOST working Thais staying in Bangkok!!!
these prices are close to the prices at Vegas' top buffets. Even #2 is close to Bally's Sunday Brunch buffet in Vegas.
😍🥰🥰
Could you give me such a buffet address for May
Hi Mesut, which buffet?
Where is Peninsula and Sukhothai ?
Hi Bill, both are great hotels. We hope to add them to our list for our next top 5 video. Thanks for watching!

I would not suggest an evening buffet for anyone, anywhere.
How about lord Jim .
Working on it!!
what does it mean the ++
Ruth Berkalitzky
Meaning those prices are subject to 10% service charge and 7% VAT.
So this video is only for the rich, wealthy and privileged.
why the hell, as your girl friend goes past the food trays is she touching, picking up, examining, then returning the food.
