I peeped out some months ago that Vanguard was one of the largest shareholders of Microstrategy (ie. Bitcoin). The writing was on the wall for their CEO to lose his job. Ok just roll out in retirement and collect millions of dollars in pension for the former CEO. The founder of Vanguard , John Bogle disliked Bitcoin with a passion and said avoid it like a plague so the organization could not save face and show up the former(May he rest in paradise) founder. BITCOIN RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It breaks my heart that we failed on a truly decentralized peer to peer currency. Now we’re just all dependent on the institutions and banks to bring in the big money and buy this asset as a long-term store value.😢 sure what all do well with the price increases, but it will come at the cost of long-term freedom.
Ummm, last I checked the institutions didn’t run all the nodes. Lightning (or Liquid or something else) will facilitate the long term transition to peer to peer. The decentralized part is baked in.
Bitcoin hasnt caught on as a currency & probably wont. But it is definitley catching on as a digital asset (store of wealth) …which is more important; fiat currency isnt bad if you buy a sandwich but it is bad if you store your wealth in fiat. Bitcoins saves us from fiat if we use it as wealth storage.
I laugh when people say bitcoin has failed as a currency. I’m not saying it will succeed, but it most certainly hasn’t failed. People don’t seem to understand that nobody is going to use ANY crypto as a currency until said crypto reaches the market cap of the dollar. Before that… people are going to hold it in anticipation of higher prices. After that… price stabilizes, fiat is dead, and people will actually begin using it as a currency. As it stands, only Bitcoin has a chance of reaching this goal. Shop owners will only accept bitcoin. Workers will only accept salary in Bitcoin. You really think that something with a small 1 trillion market cap will instantly be propelled to being the global reserve? Nope. Impossible. Learn how things work before claiming they have failed.

Sell in May and go away isnt because May itself is negative. Its because the months following May (June, July, August, and September) are crumby and usually negative. In fact, you want May to be positive when you sell.
