I wish that all humans really did value freedom. There are plenty of people and ideologies that value power and control above all or only value freedom for themselves or their tribe.
I think all ideologies value freedom in one way or another. Some think that absolute freedom is the only freedom, and others think that freedom needs a foundation of security to help it flourish. Perhaps the real answer is somewhere in between.
