It's Launch Week! (BONUS: Ship 26 Static Fire @ Masseys) - Countdown to Launch
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 2 июн 2024
- SpaceX has confirmed June 6, 2024 as the target for the fourth flight test of Starship. This comes after initially targeting the 5th, and then delaying by a day. No launch license has been granted yet. The Stack has been restacked, but tiles are missing. We try to recap what is happening and answer your questions!
Our update show, "Countdown to Launch," will update you regularly on Starship flight 4. The goal is to answer all your questions about the upcoming launch campaign.

Appreciate it! @burntbanana9184
Thank you human
😮
Thanks
Now, Ship 26 is the best ship!!! 🔥❤️🔥
I agree. If i could win a trip around the moon or even just space. Im in my mid thirties. Even if I had to wait until I was 90, I would. Especially if it's to do it reasobeably safely.
Im not saying it will take 1:20:43 ...
Tim is absolutely the guy i can think of that deserves this trip, though. Hopefully, he gets to space someday. Preferably orbit. Though i would also like to see some of the NSF hosts there as well.
Thanks for the coverage. I am catching up in the morning here in Germany. Looking forward to Thursday’s launch.
Great show guys - thanks for staying awake and staying hungry to stay on air.
Can’t wait to see this thing launch!
Good morning hope you have gotten some good rest last night!!
Agree with Trevor. Now is definitely not the time for intentionally leaving tiles off the ship. SpaceX should focus on multiple successful re-entry tests before testing if certain titles are nessassary or not.
@@takanara7 I understand, but the concern about those tiles might be unnecessary, as SpaceX de-stacked ship 29 yesterday, to possibly install the missing tiles. Either way Flight 4 will hopefully be awesome. Especially if the ship survives re-entry and we get video all the way to the water. That be mind-blowing. 👍
Wow, s26 did something!
Love that SpaceX made you say S26 so many many times! ❤S26
Great surprise double stream, thanks NSF team. I still think it would be incredibly cool if s26 was given to science and told that they can fill the payload bay, and SpaceX will yeet it out of orbit on a one way trip. Great data for all 🤷♀️.
Static fire was awesome!
Wow 👌 that static fire test was unexpected 😲 😅
Nope. They did actually know about it 😊
Patch 4 is in the bag 💪
I fast-forwarded to the 5:07 mark and randomly pressed play. The first thing I heard was about the issue with the heat shielding, lmao, It's funny how things work out. However, with some minor tweaking, hopefully, the problem will be resolved before the test flight of Starship 58. Perhaps our future generations will have the chance to see it in action. Amazing!
Truth is that not being SpaceX, we don't know what's behind the bulkhead. They may have some test equipment installed to MEASURE the amount of heat differential happening in untiled areas. Just another possibility.
On Hindsight of IFT4, I feel fully justified and vindicated for this statement! Go SpaceX! Go Me!
Great content as usual 😊
Are they testing intumescent paint as a backup for lost tiles?
Ship 26 Static Fire - 2:41:26
I'm telling you folks, Jared Issacman is our Captain Jonathan Archer 😁
The missing tiles ? A test? Possible ... Maybe SpaceX will send out an astromech Droid during the glide phase to replace tiles enflight? Lol
Epic
I have a the ca but don’t know how to release it lol
+1 for Adrian's take on carbonated beverages!
@NasaSpaceFlight. … You are ignoring the fact that they are using ship 26 as the yardstick. Ship 26 is the model that all ships conform to. Ship 26 is the pathfinder, she leads the way.
Has anyone considered or tested a launch platform that assists with the initial liftoff?
Something to look into? To catch starship. When linemen lift and set the different sections of transmission line towers they use something they call a banana that helps align and guide the section into place. This is for safety and speed because some towers have to be set exclusively with a helicopter crane and the linemen are staged on the lower section in order to help direct and pin/fasten the structure together.
They better get those crapper parts delivered 😅
The NSF pla Ning team needs to get approval to build a tower, about 50 ft tall, to mount some High-Res remote controlled cameras for the test site. Then you have everything you. Need to see what is happening.
bad audio in this episode.... Sawyer was in and out.... they all kinda were really. but good episode! thanks guys!!
@NASASpaceflight eta time ? june 6th ,detail time when ? thank u ~ most romantic words here we go and with s music ~
7:00 AM CT - coverage on NSF many hours before launch, and on SpaceX’s website about 30 minutes before launch.
@@EMichaelBall thank u will watch live
I think that he wanted to say the ship is not resilient to loss of tiles, not to surviving the loss of a tile
Technically two launches in a row with 39 raptor ignitions, booster and ship on 2 and 3
bonjour charle c'est toi qui a porter la flame olympique ? (homme masqué ou dame de fer)
Jake, BEST cat 😁😁😁😁
Maybe Spacex should ditch those tiles and do heatshoe 3d print heatshield in segment and strap it to strarship. then expansion will lead void between ship and that means no connection points must be welded shield may be 50% lighter between ship and shield are inflatable bladders that expand and contract and get rid of vibration and give support to shield
Love the intro
I’ll try
i thought nasa was its own company and space x was elong musks compacompany am i wwrong and when did spspace x and nasa merge
a 3 hour Ship 26 stream LOL
When is launch?

How did I never know that Sawyer was crippered?
How much please!!

Can't wait the day it fly to Mars or the moon
Trevor, superstion is not data. Feelings cannot account for reality. Show up, and when it goes perfectly, the inverse will occur and the supersticious will regard you as their luck charm.
$$ on first
HURRY UP ALREADY
These are too long!
OK
I’m not tech savvy
Hello everyone 😂
Here❤️❤️💟🤴👸🚀⛪️
Sawyer move your mic i can hear you swallowing lol.
Grunk like shiny tank. Liner suck. Same day ok.
Poor bird. Laid an egg mid air
boze sacuvaj koliko zaludnih ljudi ima
Well blowed me Ship 26 did have a purpose after all - HA!! naysayers.
Guy in the middle....too much Adderall?
26 will be a refueling tanker. Thus no flaps or heatshield
Tankers carry flaps and heatshield so they can be reused after they've delivered their propellant. Ship 26 does not have any special equipment to be a tanker or anything like it nor it is even equipped with the latest hardware upgrades and changes that would make it flight-worthy. Unless we see any of the above changing, it ain't flying - at least not in a planned way.
Happy birthday Elon Musk 🎉
guys... (speaking for myself only) I can't watch recorded or actual live streams. A 3 hour news live stream... I don't have the time available
(still love y'all)
It's only you
That's why we have Starbase Update (15-20 min edited Starbase news) and This Week In Spaceflight (15-20min edited worldwide news), both weekly (on Monday and Froday respectively).
These liv3 talk shows are usually 60-90 min, but this one got extended due to the static fire at Masseys.
-Das
(@NasaSpaceflight) When in the live stream did ship 26 do a static fire at masseys?
