    Does it matter which side to place the pads on, as shown? for example, can you place a low left pad on the high-rise right side? and vice versa?

      Medical oxygen would be the most common flammable gas found in a medical setting. Also, in an industrial environment any kind of gas that is flammable or explosive. Even petrol fumes could catch fire from a spark.

    my pacemaker is on the right side do you reverse the pad placement in my case

      No. You place the pad on the right still, just not directly over the implanted device.
