I think you're the only one on RUclips that actually tested the top speed of a motorcycle in a closed/private area/road 😅 Edit: Saw the rest of the video. Nevermind...
As a R6 owner is so funny to me to see that small bike trying do the 120's, but i think that the monkey is an awesome comuting bike. And the sound is aswesome for a 125cc bike.
It is a fun bike but for commuting the weather has to be good. If it is windy and you do have head wind you'll do about 90 km/h which can be a problem on roads where the speed is 100 km/h (like urban roads, not even the freeway). For commuting I would like a little bit more power.
That is a TomTom VIO gps device. Unfortunately it does not work in the USA, only in Europe. TomTom should be able to make it work in the USA by just using US maps, but I'm not sure why they won't. It would be excellent over there. All those pretty scenic byways. Technically it should work, TomTom just does not want to. They cost about $117 including sales tax over here in The Netherlands (99,95 EUR) and work together with your smartphone. GPS chip inside the VIO, maps on the smartphone, using a Bluetooth connection.
AUD$6K ride away in Sydney Australia. Believe it. Highway robbery. Really hard to pull the trigger on this one but I'm trying to justify that number. Silly, silly Honda profiteering when they should be using this great little bike to sell at a REASONABLE price to re-engage people back into motorcycling. They are wasting this opportunity by charging so much and precluding many who would come back to the fold. It is a lot of money and I think that if they'd put it on sale for a much small amount, more people would buy Honda and the dealerships would do more maintenance and they would sell more parts.
