The a.i. on postal office is one of the most frustrating gaming experiences ive come across in ages. I had to get an extremely lucky run not once but twice to actually have this work out in my favor for grease palms.

Quick Rant:
I'd recommend to not attempt to get rank S in this map until the devs touch upon the enemy a.i.
The way the a.i. works makes this map an unbearable experience, this took about 6 to 7 hours to complete rank S, because the enemy a.i. sees you through tiny cracks (even if they're just one frame wide it's enough for them to see you) and don't even have to be facing towards you, meaning you're constantly under fire in the warehouse which is the biggest part of the map.
Not just that but it has also been confirmed that the a.i. without mods has a reaction time of 0.100ms which is dramatically faster than that of a human, which once again when combined with them shooting through walls and tiny cracks it makes clearing this map an insanely stressful experience.
You have to get extremely lucky for bots to somehow miss shots on you and in this run I "should've" died at least 4 different times, this run was rough but the RnG was on my side.
On top of it all, I've been plagued with getting unauthorized use of force when using the VKS. Which made me have to get rank S in this map twice, the second of which I didn't record, just the final score.
I will never touch this map again for rank s 😂

Yup 100ms is just insane. There was so much feedback on this over a year ago and they refuse to do anything about it.

I really thought I was the only one who thought that this map was unbearable. These guys constantly track me through the smallest cracks with fully automatic rifles, same applies to every map in the game given the suspect A.I's current state.

Shitty code, not proper regression testing, and not listening to feedback. Focusing too much on adding new content and getting it out the door instead of fixing what's currently there.
This has been the problem for the entirety of early access.

the last thing i saw before they went radio silent during the beta was their "improvements to ai behavior" which made them not run into your cross airs, hide from you, ambush you and just be less predictable. @@ExpertContrarian
It's both deeply frustrating and a relief to have it confirmed that this mission is just near impossible to S rank. I take my hat off to you good sir for managine it. I was at it for 10 hours straight and just couldn't do it. Might try again with mods some day.
The suspects also dont render at high distance making them invisible until they start shooting at you on the outside part of this map.
Why would you add such a huge open air portion to a game revolving around clearing enclosed rooms and tight spaces.
This is the most absurd stuff ive read so far regarding to this game. Old games have these problems, modern games should finally be better with the rendering stuff. Imagine getting sniped through the walls across the map from an enemy that was not even spawned yet, LOL.
@@jackcravford8744 This problem frustrated me so much. I went outside with a long scope on my rifle only for my bullets to phase through someone who was not rendered, yet I could still see them through the scope. This is by far the worst map this game has especially with the state of the AI currently and the way suspects are rendered.
My AI team starts shouting "Lspd get on the ground RN!" and I was looking around and no one was there until the graphics slowly rendered and there it was, an enemy in a distance shot me twice and RIP. The game is hard but the enemy AI was designed cheap and its so frustrating because they can see you through the smalleat cracks and knows where you are coming from.
Arresting a hostile suspect should never be mandatory for a mission's success. They need to fix that.
Exactly right, like, I don't care if your a fed, if you shoot at 5 heavily armed swat members that are screaming at you to get on the ground, don't be surprised when you get filled with lead.

You can incapacitate him with lethal weapons and restrain him. It still counts as an arrest.

Enemy Ai is complete nonsense, they know where you will come out and they shoot and kill you within seconds, they see you through tiny holes and they know where you will come out as I said before, why would you add such a big map to a swat game, before 1.0 came, we could play the map we wanted, now we can only play new maps if we fulfill what they say in the measure determined by the game, except for multiplayer, all of this is complete nonsense.

“Why would you add such a big map” I mean, I would argue that it’s a real life challenge any kind of operator faces, you don’t always get a location that’s easy.
The current enemy A.I is dogshit. I'd love to see you do an S rank on Valley of the Dolls because that's the one I'm currently stuck on, trying to get that Hawaii shirt. The bottom floor is outrageous.

Valley is garbage since the area after the kitchen is guaranteed death since the guards see you from the windows even tho there are curtains blocking YOUR sight line to the outside
@@KissaKassKot, it’s not that hard as post office. About 10 attempts and we got it on S today(two of us, second guy was killed by the last enemy, lol)
U just need to find working tactics and a bit of luck.
BUT it was our first mission played (before 1.0) and we spent 7 hours to get A then. And today we just did the same thing. If it helps, I can describe u what we did
Top floor up until gym, clear gym, turn around to back to front door.
Go down steps clear office, clear garden, go down to basement, clear basement.
Either go up to party area through basement stairs, or go to the kitchen through the movie room.
Pray that you don’t get shot through the windows since you’ll have to have to be exposed to windows with either way you go after clearing basement.
The hawaii shirt is bugged, you ONLY need the basic polo to equip it, even if its grayed/x'd out lol

this map and valley of dolls had me ripping my hair out. constantly getting wallbanged by a glock or a tec-9 and the maps having large killzones just made me give up on even trying to S rank them after 8 hours of trying.
Valley Of The Dolls is alright. This and Port Hoken on the other hand...

I think I've beaten this one (if I can remember cuz I HATED this map even on the Early Access version) and I will tell you all this much this map is fucking hell even when you're trying to beat this casually.
I had one enemy left on my last S rank attempt. I assumed (stupidly) that he was in that building to the right of spawn. Turns out he was hiding behind some crates in the far back left of the big building, right out of the line of sight of me when I was attempting to arrest a civvy.
This mission took me 35 fucking attempts and this guy does a S tier run like its nothing... 💀💀💀
Yeah because he's playing as slowly as possible and just spamming pepperballs at everyone. You can do that on every map if you're patient enough and don't want to use your own AI for anything.

There’s something poetic about getting more points for preserving every life no matter how evil.
That was insane! I have trouble cleaning it with lethal weapons because of how stupid the AI reaction time is atm, plus they see through walls and hair sized cracks. Amazing S rank 👏
How in the fuck do they fucking miss you? You have to be using no crack mod or something because they are crack shots whenever I play.

It took me a WEEK to complete this map, and i mean just complete it, not bothering with score at all. I considered giving up multiple times but kept going out of pure spite. Then i installed the " AI not on crack mod " and the game became fun again, while still retaining a challenge.
I've watched several of his S rank videos and the AI for him behave completely different. They ignore pepperball for the first few shots, sometimes bean bags, and I get blasted in the face instantly.
From what I can tell just by running tons of attempts. RNG plays a big factor in S rank runs, if you continue running maps you’ll eventually get the perfect run where you don’t instantly die xd
At 3:20, I gasped for a second concerned that the suspect just shot the other suspect who was still on his knees. You looked over towards the other bot like you had that exact same concern lmfao
Attempting S rank on this mission rn. I find the beanbag shotgun much more consistent, often 1 shooting them to surrender.

I just bought this game after 1.0 after watching it for months. After playing it I had to download mods that changed there reaction time. I would walk past a wall and they would track me through the wall and wall bang me. So frustrating, on top of that the fps drops during shader render is horrible. But aside from those issues the game is great and has the potential to become even better with mods and updates.

This mission on vanilla is goddamn impossible so many suspects, so open so you end up getting shot from somewhere random, there's also the outside place, and 3 people you have to find/arrest.

could you maybe do a video regarding the best loadouts and all the equipment you use for your S rank runs. Love the vids!
This map was a real pain, on a regular run it took me 9 or so attempts to actually complete it due to the guys full autoing you through those tiny holes in the racks. When I went for an S rank run I got SUPER lucky and didn't have any of the guys spawn in the big warehouse area shoot at me so I managed to do it first try. The difficulty of this map is super dependent on the enemy spawns because you can get screwed over by having way too many suspects spawn in one area.
I am currently stuck on this map because of the crazy ai reaction speeds and frustration ı play with bots even though ı manage them strategically and tactically they also die very often and sometimes they get stuck on somewhere… ı dont know if its a skill issue or these is something wrong with the ai (edit) ı just passed the mission with B the trick is to cs gas the ever living shit out of that place and locate them while they are coughing

Like you wrote, you got lucky. This is not a playstyle that will work every time.

Like they say ready or not is realistic but who tha hell would send 5 swat guys to kill an entire army of 20 man with automatic rifles amd still try to capture then alive like this mission is realy unrealistic they should at least lower the ammont of enemys

Spent the whole weekend trying to S rank it but couldn’t. One thing I wasn’t doing though was using the mirror gun, I kinda think it’s cheating in a way because there could be a suspect directly behind the door, who would realistically see the mirror, it should start shooting through the door but doesn’t

This map is so bad I was getting shot from 5 different npcs at the same time not to mention there’s literally 100 suspects on this map
My problem is that one of the members of my AI team always dies which blocks me from the S rank. Mainly because they just stand there and take the shots from fully automatics >:(
Bro how every time I try all suspects just straight up make a sprint for me I have all maps on S rank after 1 or 2 tries. This map I've been trying for over 5 months! It's outrageous. Couple of times I have been right at the end just to get demoted 50 points for unauthorize use of force because a random tpl/vkl/beanbag his a surrendered dude.
Been liking the game a lot but hope they make some fixes/tweaks soon
What rifle and ammo you use?😳
Did you know you can just run a friend only multiplayer match with nobody else in the lobby and you’ll spawn in without any bots. More convenient than ordering them to stay put and can have tangible benefit on maps like 23mbps where enemies actually peak the spawn. Not sure if it changes AI behavior, but I don’t really notice any difference.
you dont get steam achievements in multiplayer only in single player. the in-game outfits you can get from multiplayer
Just use a mod to remove all of them together.
You can play Commander mode solo with mod.
Here little bit later i ran this mission with a beanbag shotgun on accident and i cleared the entitre facility only killing one suspect due to trigger happy ai and got A+ after missing 2 evidence i belive its doable now
At this point I’m not even sure a rework can save this map the fact that it even made to early access is just baffling, and to anyone who reads this what do you think ,COMPLETELY CUT or a rework.
Not sure who is having this problem, but lopez is nowhere to be found. I complete every objective, but lopez is nowhere on the map. And I have searched the map inch by inch. Is it a bug?? Ive read that others have had this issue with no fix.

What type of weapon and ammunition is that? And what armor are you wearing? because my PJ moves very slowly...
That would be the VKS, an assault rifle chambered in pepperball "bullets" !
As for the armor, it's light armor (notice the lack of shoulder pads), and i'm guessing ceramic or kevlar for speed ? No real cmue on that one

Your order of clearing makes all the difference. Id recommend the bean bag shotgun and similar loadout to this video, then clear top floor, go down stairs and door wedge the door to the "bridge", stay away from the windows.
Go back to the first door of the top floor and go down the winding stairs, wedge the door directly to your right, then go into the small courtyard and go down to the laundry, wedge the double door, clear laundry. Make your way up the stairs to the second floor and clear the room, then go outside and clear the yard, wedge the gate. Go back inside and clear the rest of the second floor, then make your way to bottom again, unwedge the double door, and clear bottom floor (hardest part is this + outside).
Then clear outside headges and bar, finally move on to clearing the dungeons. Id recommend lots of door wedges and lots of bean bag ammo

They need to fix the AI quickly. Its ridiculous that some thugs can shoot your team trough the smallest holes with perfect accuracy. So stupid.

this map is actually hell, even with an AI mod it's just not working out. I'm actually going to have to resort to using No Crack just because of how bullshit the AI's superhuman sight and aim is.

I've tried greased palms 1290030 times in offline mode but failed. I was about to delete this game then I saw this video and gave it a last try and did the mission perfectly with no injuries to my teammates and me. That's why never give up even though I gave up doing maths. Love from Bangladesh.
How are the weapons/evidence is highlighted. Mine isn’t like that.

S ranks are hard enough as is but doing them solo is nuts
I think it is easier for him to solo than it would be to use the AI teammates. This way he doesn't have to keep them alive and doesn't have to worry about them beanbagging a suspect in the head, or pulling their sidearm and managing to kill a suspect with the magazine it started with even though you tell them not to bring any sidearm ammo.

Yeah this map is stupid. Only map i cleared rank B on because I was getting tired of being tracked through tiny cracks and walls.

The AI in this game is still really bad. I can't recommend this to anyone that doesn't have a full team to play with.

At 5:53 you received a penalty for unauthorized use of force. It does not show up on the mission score. I am pretty sure this run is not a legitimate S-rank.
you could get 3000 points and still not S rank. the qualifier is no deaths all arrests. you used to get minused points for even being shot
he also has the description say that he had done this twice bc of the use of force and he didnt record the whole second run only the score
@@Schaden-freudeI am not getting what you are saying. To get S rank you need a flawless run: all arrest, no swat members death, no penalties, collect everything, all objectives. You can get shot all the time you can sustain.
This video simply is not a S rank. I assume the ending screen is spliced from some other run.

man this map is so crazy impossible. i had to mod my game so i can carry 10 mags, 7 gas grenades. the more i play it the more the immersion fades out on me. the AI on this map so unrealistic, i hate to arrest suspects here without the ability to cancel it because the moment you arrest someone an AI just pops out of nowhere shooting like john wick
