Just some constructive criticism: If more than half of the review is you playing games on the monitor and not saying anything, probably means you're doing it wrong. Also those different settings you mentioned, would of been cool to see how the monitor performed with them on. The ELMB test was fine...sorta, but there are multiple overdrive modes as well. You could have touched on if there's ghosting or overshoot on the different overdrive modes. Mentioning the viewing angles would have been nice. You mentioned that there's HDR support, but didn't test it. Also Freesync, was it working? I didn't see you enable it in the display driver settings. Does the Freesync work with Nvidia GPU's? Overall I felt like I could have just read the spec sheet instead of watching this video.

Very nice, little long, video, but why isn´t 10bit turned on ? According to the specs I am reading now, it says it supports 10bit mode ??? The warzone part looked really smokey or greyish, but fallguys also looks greyish, guess its recording a screen. The castle scene wipes my remarks away. Looks good. Mentioning that its HDR10 is good. Nice video.
Hi! Thank you for your feedback! Regarding the quality of the video recording, it's important to keep in mind that recording a screen can sometimes affect the colors and overall image quality. It's possible that this could have contributed to the smokey or greyish appearance in Warzone and Fall Guys. Overall, it's great to hear that you found the castle scene impressive and that the mention of HDR10 was helpful. We hope you found the video informative and helpful in your decision-making process! cnl
So a follow up to this comment I saw another reviewer on this monitor and I think this guy just had weird settings or the camera he recorded with showed it up like this. On the annoying side. Amazon reduced it all week and as soon as today's sale kicked in guess what? Surprisingly not on sale at the lower price so I bought a Samsung instead.
I have a question, sorry if this is odd, but is this good for work too? Programming work, with IDE's, like VS, Eclipse, etc or Financial analysis with lots of Excel spreadsheets open?
@@TheSubwayBeast I ordered this monitor... the shipping started to delay... and I cancelled.... then I bought an LG 32" QHD 32QN600-B (2560x1440) which is great, perfect, best decision ever. I think "curved" is overrated specially for monitors this size, for bigger or wider yes, but not this one.
I love how they say look how beautiful it is or I’ll show you how it sounds…. As if it’s going to somehow make the device we’re seeing this on match the quality of that monitor 😂
The VG32VQ without the "1B" is currently $20 more. Asus specs say it has a 400cd/m max brightness compared to the 250cd/m of the 1B version in this video. The $20 also gets a better stand with height adjustment but comes with a power brick and has a slightly lower 144Hz refresh rate. I noticed in this unboxing a standard power cord rather than a power transformer brick.
great review dude! - Question.. my current graphicscard, Geforce 1070 with i7 8700 and 16gb ram. you think I will get issues running a 32" compared to a 27" version of this monitor? I don't have any issues atm, running 27" 60 hz 1980 etc..
You seem to be mixing up size and resolution, the size of the monitor makes no difference. You only need to be concerned with the resolution for performance, so if your current screen is the same resolution as this one then the your 1070 will run fine.. if this is a higher resolution to your current monitor then you will get a lower fps in games at the higher resolution, whether that is fine or not is pretty much personal preference, i run a 1060 6gb and a 1440p monitor and for 99% of my games its fine, with some games needing to go onto low/medium settings to get by.
Thank you for your comment! The ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B is a 32" curved gaming monitor that supports a maximum resolution of 2560x1440 and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It also has features such as FreeSync and ELMB Sync to help provide a smooth and responsive gaming experience. While this monitor is primarily designed for PC gaming, it can also be used with consoles like the PS5. However, it's worth noting that the PS5 outputs at a maximum resolution of 3840x2160 (4K), so you won't be able to take full advantage of this monitor's resolution capabilities. Additionally, the PS5 doesn't currently support 144Hz output, so you won't be able to take full advantage of the monitor's maximum refresh rate either. That being said, if you're primarily looking for a large and immersive gaming experience, the ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B could still be a good choice. Its curved screen and high refresh rate can help provide an immersive and fluid gaming experience, and its size can help you see more of the action on screen. Overall, whether or not this monitor is a good choice for your PS5 depends on your personal preferences and priorities. If you prioritize resolution and frame rate over size and immersion, you may want to look for a 4K monitor with a lower refresh rate instead. cnl
To unlock the buttons on the ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B monitor, press and hold the "Down" button on the monitor for 5 seconds. This should unlock the buttons and allow you to access the menu and settings. If this doesn't work, try resetting the monitor to its factory settings by navigating to the "System Setup" menu and selecting "Restore Defaults". cnl

Thank you for sharing your suggestion on how to address the height problem with the ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B monitor. An external monitor clamp can certainly be a viable solution for those looking to adjust the height of their monitor. External monitor clamps can be attached to the back of a monitor and provide a secure and adjustable mounting option for the monitor. These clamps typically allow for height and angle adjustments, which can help users find a comfortable viewing position. However, it's important to ensure that the clamp is compatible with the specific monitor being used and that it is securely attached to the monitor and the desk or other surface it is mounted to. Additionally, users should be aware of any weight limitations or other specifications when selecting a monitor clamp. Overall, an external monitor clamp can be a practical solution for those looking to adjust the height of their monitor, but it's important to do research and ensure compatibility before making a purchase. cnl

If you're looking to set up your ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B monitor with an Xbox Series X and enable HDR, there are a few steps you can follow: 1. Connect your Xbox Series X to the monitor using an HDMI cable that supports HDMI 2.0 or higher. 2. Turn on your Xbox Series X and go to the "Display & sound" settings. 3. Under "Resolution," select the highest available resolution that your monitor supports. In the case of the ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B, the monitor supports a maximum resolution of 2560x1440. 4. Under "HDR," toggle on the "Allow HDR" option. This should enable HDR on your monitor. 5. You can also adjust the HDR brightness settings under the "HDR calibration" option. Once you've enabled HDR on your Xbox Series X, you should be able to enjoy HDR content on your ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B monitor. As for a set up for your Xbox Series X, it's important to ensure that you have a comfortable and ergonomic gaming space that allows you to play for extended periods of time without experiencing discomfort or eye strain. You may want to consider a gaming desk and chair, as well as proper lighting and audio equipment to enhance your gaming experience. cnl
I just go this and personally I don’t have any problems everything looks smooth although I’m only playing on a ps4 rn. But if u do get this make sure to turn on hdr it makes everything really pop.
ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B monitor is compatible with both PC and console gaming, including the Xbox Series X. It has a 1440p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, which can provide a smooth and immersive gaming experience with fast response times. Keep in mind that when connecting the Xbox Series X to a monitor, you'll need to use an HDMI cable to transfer both the video and audio signals. Additionally, you may need to adjust the monitor's settings to ensure the best possible performance with your gaming console. Overall, if you're looking for a high-quality gaming monitor that's compatible with the Xbox Series X, the ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B could be a great option to consider. cnl

@@pyroniko8270 It would be the same as a 1080p monitor, which is why it doesn't make sense. 1440p monitors are more expensive than 1080p monitors, so you'll be paying more just for literally nothing. You'll only see a benefit if Sony decides to add in native 1440p support in the future.
Yes, the ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B can support a 1440p resolution at up to 165Hz when connected to a PC. This makes it a great choice for gamers who want a high refresh rate display with a crisp, high-resolution image. However, please note that your PC's graphics card will need to be capable of outputting a 1440p resolution at 165Hz in order to take full advantage of the monitor's capabilities. cnl

We hope you found the video informative and helpful in your decision-making process! cnl

Hmm that warzone footage really rubbed me the wrong way that quality was bad it looked washed out.
@Koj Niam in the end I got this instead. Samsung LC32JG50QQUXEN 32" Curved Gaming Monitor - WQHD 2560x1440, 144Hz, 2x HDMI, DisplayPort, Dark Silver
@Koj Niam ah that's cool I saw that but didn't want a 27" that's a good monitor
I got the Dell 2721DGFA, haven't been able to test it yet, still waiting for the rest of the PC parts to arrive. Can't wait!
@Ritten well I have an update now lol I returned the Samsung and got the AOCCU34G2 instead WAY better
I have a question, sorry if this is odd, but is this good for work too? Programming work, with IDE's, like VS, Eclipse, etc or Financial analysis with lots of Excel spreadsheets open?
Same question since I’m a computer science student. Since it’s been 2 months already, know the answer?😬

I noticed in this unboxing a standard power cord rather than a power transformer brick.
could you tell if the other monitor is better?

Anyone else have the issue when HDR10 becomes disabled when running at 120hz?
You are way better without a HDR. Your game run a lot smoother
HDR works best at 4k 60hz
is the HDR any good? .. i heard it sucks at 250nits
What do you mean by "sucks?" This is not a vacuum review!

great review dude!
You would be fine! Sorry for the late reply
I can't press the gaming visuals button any help ?

Is it grayed out? I don't have this sample anymore but I am guessing you need to turn off a mode like MPRT or something like that to enable it!

Would you recommend this monitor for a Ps5 system?
It should it has a Amd gpu i would imagin freesync will work with it :)

If this doesn't work, try resetting the monitor to its factory settings by navigating to the "System Setup" menu and selecting "Restore Defaults". cnl
I want to use this monitor for my PS5, can I connect a speaker system directly into the monitor or do I need to connect this directly to the PS5?

For the height problem, you can just get an external monitor clamp and that should do the trick.
Overall, an external monitor clamp can be a practical solution for those looking to adjust the height of their monitor, but it's important to do research and ensure compatibility before making a purchase. cnl

Hey I have this monitor. Any suggestions on a set up for an Xbox series x. I also am not sure how to get HDR function on
If you're looking to set up your ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B monitor with an Xbox Series X and enable HDR, there are a few steps you can follow:
You may want to consider a gaming desk and chair, as well as proper lighting and audio equipment to enhance your gaming experience. cnl
