The undead Viking is the best to me. I got two. I’ve been leaning towards collecting all skeletons
Nice! That's great to hear!
Same. I like the skeletons and my first pop and swap was taking a red helmeted skull from another figure and putting it on a Dark Templar. I want to skeletonize a few others as well.
@@MOCTurtle4911 heck yeah. Can never go wrong with an undead army.
Yes exactly. Ordered the undead heads and the skeleton hands and feet to convert more. Plus I think the Undead Builder will be cool. I want to make a lich.
The Vikenfell Skeleton is my favorite of the bunch. I started getting into the line when Necronominus was announced and loved these skeleton figures more than the older versions.
I've always preferred the 2.0 skeleton body over the 1.0. Though I'm guessing that could change when the new skeletons release.
I want an entire line like this of Charles Dickens figures.
Tale of Two Cities Guillotine Playset with exclusive "action neck" Sydney Carton figure.
The 2.0 skele is my favorite of the wave. I do already have all the FO.
The original Sun Wukong is possibly my favorite figure, period. I'm definitely double dipping.
I mostly agree with your list but I would swap the Red Death and the undead Viking. The grandfather clock is great but I have no use for it, and so much of the figure is covered with cloth goods.
The Viking isn't super exciting but three heads, one of which has that great helmet. Looking forward to using some of the Marley heads for swaps. I did not have the Fisher Price figure but the Cosmic is still amazing plus all of the parts.
Just got my notice on the Bob Marley figure shipping soon but also a notice that it will not 2:56 glows in the dark. Bummer. I guess they couldn’t pull it off. Too bad I really was looking forward to that feature, I hope that the paint that they did use is at least black light reactive so that it can glow with black lights. I also wish it has the translucent coat and shoes since they couldn’t do the glow in the dark paint job. Oh well, still looking forward on getting him since I missed the OG one.
@@MaxPowerHouse23 I covered that this morning in a community post. Also a heads up: it will 100% not have translucent parts. And I also wouldn't expect it to react under black light either.
@
Thanks man; again, too bad considering that they couldn’t pull off the glow in the dark paint they could have at least done that much. I missed the first one so I guess this will do. Not sure if I’m going to even open him and display since he doesn’t glow. 😕. I guess I will make that decision once I get him or see RUclips video reviews.
Thanks for the response!

I preordered Monkey King and Shadow Circle immediately. So so so excited to add these the collection. Thanks as always for your superb coverage. I have the original Jacob Marley or I would have bought him too.
I have a theory that the Horsemen are reusing soft goods in the same way they reuse parts. Hence the red soft goods on both Wukongs and also Yoshanai Kari and the purple soft goods reappearing as well.
Sourcing fabrics can be a lot of work, so it makes sense that they want to get as much mileage out of the material they have access to.
I think they definitely are. I'd much rather just pattern or fabric reuse in a new figure, instead of both. EG, use the same skirt pattern from Artemis for Belualyth, but not the exact same green colour. Or the red wraps you mentioned. The parts are always nice, but having more colour options would be nicer.
@@karlspace5695Yeah, the skirt colors on Belualyth and Manisha Cinderhorn both look pretty poor and mismatched with the rest of the figure. I hope they can build their "Cloth library" up like their parts library and avoid some of these color clashes in the future
Gold monkey is great but shadow circle is my number 1.
Good pick!
The iron helm for sure with marley? Could be repainted like the "silver bells" were.
Yes, last year they showed the "silver bells" with the new colors right up front in the promo shots same as Marley this year.
great video. Thank you!
My pleasure, thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks, for the opinions, brother. I’m new to collecting Four Horsemen’s figures, so it’s appreciated.
My pleasure! Any questions let me know!
@@DorkLair Thanks, for the offer and apologies, for the late response. I’ve been collecting Hot Toys, since around 2009, so I could use the help, with 1:12 scale. Do you know what the 4H RUclips channel is called? Also, what method would you recommend, for heating up the figures?
@@TheWinterCollector The 4H RUclips is @FourHorsemenStudios4H, I almost always use a hair dryer for heating figures.
@@DorkLair Thanks, for the assistance.
Wow! Where did you get that red death body pic? I was just wondering how it would look like without the robes.
They took it at the studio. Jeremy Girard had shared it on his Mythic Conversations Retailer Wave episode.
@@DorkLair Thanks! I'll check it out.
Bill, I agree with your ranking. I do favor the Shadow Circle deluxe figure as the paint apps and humaniod heads look remarkable. I will be happy to buy multiples. The value seems present as well. Great video.✌️
Thanks Steve!
I would love to see a new 2.0 legion builder, I keep hoping for one. I am a Skeleton fan so I'll be ordering a few of the Vikenfell Skeleton. I was surprised by excitement for Ph’shr Ryyce, since it does nothing for me and so I feel like I'm really missing out since I don't get the appeal. None of the other figures in the retailer wave interest me, I have all the first releases so I'm happy with those.
I was really disappointed when I missed out on the first version of Jacob Marley, so I pre-ordered this version on BBTS immediately. After watching this video, I decided to grab Sun Wukong. I'm a big fan of mythology stuff, and this is BY FAR the best Monkey King in 1:12 scale on the market. I honestly think this gold version is even better than the original.
No 1 being number 1 is no surprise
I ordered from the first friendly retailer who reached out to me in the Cabal. I can't do this long term but I do heavily believe in rewarding good customer service
A worthy cause!
I kinda just want the fur cape.
I have to respectfully disagree about the Undead of Vikenfell being the least exciting of this wave. Why? The other characters in the wave have mostly already been released whereas this one is new, so why is it not exciting? It has 3 heads so will be great for army building. My only complaint is that since it’s an army builder like figure, it would probably sell more if sold direct from 4H
Like I said in the video, the ranking was a list of recommendations for people who do not yet own any of the previous versions, but I definitely understand where you are coming from.
For me, the Skelly is number one, then the Cosmic, the repaints can go in any order after those 2. That's mainly because I have the OG versions, and the Cosmic is second as I think he'll make another great undead spaceman.
The Skelly though is the only one I've POd so far as although he's just a 1.0 skelly he's still more interesting than a simple repaint. Cool heads also on him.
I'm very excited for the Skelly as well. Been wanting this for a while.
2.0 Skeleton body on this one
I've ordered the Masque and Undead of Vikenfell. Already have the original Monkey King and Marley, so felt there was no need for these. Don't collect Cosmic so passes on that one too.
Nice!
As a Mythic Legions collector from back in the Gothitropolis / Kickstarter days, this wave just doesn't do it for me :
Viking Skeleton => Cool figure BUT should have been included in the Rising Sons wave at the 37 USD price!
Red Death => While looking great, this should have been a 1 and done kind of figure!
Blue Jacob => Should have been made in blue GID (like blue Hagnon), now there is barely any difference between them to justify the 70 USD price! And then there is the problem with the too comically styled open mouth head which just looks out of place in the entire line...
Ph’shr Ryyce => While I addopted an "Aliens Only" (no TU5CC / Humans) approach to collecting Cosmic Legions, I REALLY DO like this one a lot! Damn it...
Monkey King => As with Blue Jacob, barely any difference between the two + there are now recent pre-orders on BBTS for better looking Monkey Kings if you are looking for one...
Thanks for watching and sharing your opinions!
I understand why the Horsemen created the retailer exclusive waves. You explained it very well. Personally I hate them. The price is way too high for each figure. I miss the days when a collector could preorder everything. It used to be a lot easier to collect Mythic Legions in the past.
Yeah I hear that, luckily they (so far) have (mostly) kept the exclusives to non-essential characters.
