Now that reminds me of my first real Off-roading trip with my buddy in my brand new 2016 4Runner trail premium with KDSS. First blood is always the toughest LOL. After you break it and you don’t really care so much.
10:51 the look of "you better not be fucking lying to me bro" xD, oh yeah i love how you make stock work! people think you need ccrazy mods and you dont! my trail does amazing stock even when 2/4 tires are lifted off the ground at cleghorn
10:41. i noticed my brakes making that squeak when i descend from my driveway going forward towards the road. it's not steep at all, just a normal driveway that slants a bit down towards the street. it only squeaks then and no where else. its so strange.
@@RiverRatsTotalOutdoors Can't wait until I get my mall crawler. Just hope the zombie apocalypse never happens and it gets to stay grabbing groceries and driving along the beach
That rock is unavoidable, the hill is three times steeper than it looks and everything leads to that rock, we have been down it a couple times with a couple different vehicles and you always go right for the rock. You just need enough clearance to get over the top of it
Sticking his arm out the window to stop the vehicle from sliding into the tree. Dumbest move that everyone will try to do because of our shit human instincts 😂😂😂😂😂
Your shirt is awesome. Also, love the video. I took my 4Runner out on the trails the first week I had it, and the next week on some pretty gnarly trails as well. Freaked me out pretty good a few times, but it was a ton of fun going all the places it went and then having such a smooth and quiet ride on the way home. You’ll be surprised how well A-Trac works, and how well crawl control works also. With crawl, you can actually throttle through it and it’ll keep the front end simulating a locked differential (from what I’ve experienced at least). I’ve used it along side my maxtrax to get me out of some hairy situations that I just couldn’t with just the rear locked and A-Trac on. Turned on crawl control and it just trudged right out, even with me giving throttle input.
The 4Runner keeps surprising on how capable it is stock
So what damage became of the runner? Those things are relentless
Nothing, a couple scratches on the skid plate!
you need a spotter that has some freaking clue how to be a spotter !!!
Don't know how you got over that last rock......I was cringing the whole time. lol

Having an experienced spotter is more important than having an experienced driver. Glad you made it through "Safely" with that kind of guidance..
You make me want to get a 4runner soo bad, actually i wanted it for a long time now, your videos is just the cherry on top!
When it looks steep on camera it's much steeper in person.
Awesome video. Are those just the stock skid plates?
You need some tires on that thing!

You need some tires and a capable spotter. The 4Runner will do the rest.

you did what any 4Runner owner would do.
Don't kid yourself, most 4runners are mall crawlers and never see anything like this.
@@RiverRatsTotalOutdoors oh yea. I have four 4Runners - 3 owned since new, have one just like yours with KDSS and they are mint mall crawlers.

This pains me to watch man. Poor spotter. Dont ever “gun it” take your time and try a new line.
Dam had van tires on it lol, entertaining video
Are those regular tires?!
Wow you guys get rain NICE Happy Trails !!
Those tires should not be on anything more difficult than a fire service road.
Amazing...nice video.
Your spotter just cant make up his mind, I would be so confused
Your spotters did not help you with those lines... lol could of avoided that massive rock with a little help...

I didn't buy my truck for $46k for some guy operating a camera to tell me how to fuck it up.. I feel sorry for this dude's truck...
Ikr!
I would have never taken my truck there lol
I probably wouldn't have either if I would have gotten out and walked it like I should have!!
Get better tires next time and need a 3 inch lift you make it through
Wtf were you watching I made it through
Lol...you mess up something down there
Didn't mess up anything that is what skid plates were made for
Good god man
Cringed watching this. So in need of lift, bigger tires, recovery points and rock sliders. 😬
I wanna take my chev out there.
do it, you wont regret it!!
River Rat's Total Outdoors where is this located again?

Oh shit lol. Someday you'll laugh about this

It is about the stupidest thing you can do but it's a natural reaction when you have a huge root ball coming at your head
get some real tires next time.

What else would you expect from a 4runner its definitely not meant for mall crawling 😂 its 1st model is the very first SUV also
