- Adam Weatherby and I found ourselves in the desert in July, hunting velvet bulls. With scorching temperatures and low elk numbers, the hunt was challenging. However, after a tough week of hunting, we both managed to harvest incredible velvet bulls.

I love the feel of this hunt. No one looking for "trophies", guys havin some fun being in nature, and genuine joy with the harvest. Love it my friends.!!
Nice to see two people having fun hunting. Im so tired of people turning hunting into a religion and talking about their feelings and emotional process... cool video
Keep em coming Remy and Adam. Love my weatherby rifle too.
Yea Remmi, great edit!
The bull you got was so much thicker then the one you passed. What great footage from the rifle guys, way to set that up.
Moon turning into elk antler to the beat was fire
Go off, Koby!
This is a tough hunt congratulations guys
My favorite firearm manufacturer partnered with one of my favorite hunters! Great combination and I appreciate the content!
Thanks for the kind words!
Agree 100%
I commented probably a year ago from your move to leave Solo H%$#@*. You said "I have a gift for you". I just couldn't figure out the link or something like that. I was hoping it was some of your delicious food! Anyway this hunt and filming is amazing as always! Thank you for the inspiration Remi......
Congrats remi and Adam. Camp meat for the rest of the season
Nice video. I am going to Las Vegas Oct.-Nov15th for a ewe hunt. I am super excited! I just picked it up on Oct.18th. Lucky draw FCFS! Any tips would be helpful and much appreciated. Congrats! Keep up the good work guys.
Love when Remi takes us along! Well done ole son!!
Sorry if this is a dumb question but what type of elk are they. I never seen a red looking elk before. Mostly tan and brown
They’re Rocky Mountain elk. They’re red looking because they still have their summer coats. If you’re used to seeing them later in the year that’s when they get that tan/brown coloration
@@benbaber3975 cool thanks for the info.
What's up with an elk hunt in July in AZ?
Thats what I was wondering
They hunt them early (year round I think for bulls) in areas they don’t want elk in that are their trophy muledeer units. OTC tags, hard to find success type hunts.
I live here in AZ. There are a few OTC elk hunting opportunities here, but they are all low density/low success rate hunts.
Remi, where is the link to the song!?!
Great hunt! What cartridge and bullet did you go with?
How do we get that song!!!!?!?!?!??!?!? lol
Is this a special draw tag??
What app did you use to make the song?
What tripod are you using?
The Peak44 Teton Tripod!
I expect a little better shot placement from someone with the last name “Weatherby”, using a tits’d out rifle at 200 yards… 😬
Oh did you hear that Adam! I’m sure he cares about your expectations of him.
REMI
APPRECIATE THE EFFORT IN EDITING…BUT 75% LESS MUSIC.
KILLER FILM QUALITY AND FOOTY, BUT THE CONTENT MUSIC AND SPORADIC CAMERA ANGLES MAKE IT FEEL LIKE A COMMERCIAL OR ADD
Because that’s ultimately what it is.
It was the song
Nice hunt
Summer hunting in a desert seems really risky. Cooling that meat down would be tough.
Chevelon
Remi what unit
The “eat rocks” unit
4a 4b
Quartering to and moving target?!
Remi we need to see more content with you! Especially hunting mule deer 😏
All the hunts these guys go on, and dont make videos, they make a video on this hunt???
Too many guys in these small areas ruin the hunt
Then to show video as if elk are prevalent, is miss leading.
It looks like they hit up some of the private ranches, also miss leading
Yeah, have the big dogs go hunt these area too. But chit, dont make a video about it
The plan-demic messed the area up bad enough, let alone this.
Brian Calls uncle had enough sence and respect, he wouldnt even discuss these hunts, let a lone make a video
Seems to me these top dogs, are just douche bags
Awesome video. It always makes me crack up when people think that blaze orange is required for safety while rifle hunting.
States that require blaze orange do it so the wardens can find you easier LOL
@@elkhunter76 yep that’s the only reason why and then they convince half the public it’s for their safety lol
Have you seen some of these guys that show up for rifle season, half drunk and dumb as a box of rocks with a rifle? If it’s brown, it’s down. And they’re definitely not verifying what they’re shooting at. I personally know someone who was shot by his own friend with a .30-06. He almost died, he got real lucky.
Damn you guys must really trust other hunters. Get a hyped up rookie hunting they’ll shoot first, ask questions later. This hunt must have been on private land. 😏
Come Hunt the state deer hunt on lanai…. You’ll be head to toe blaze orange.
I don’t really understand the point. They aren’t even done growing
The “point” of modern day hunting was for meat and population control and healthy wildlife management. Obviously your “point”, is for the antlers, which is entirely what’s wrong with today’s generation of “hunters”.
OTC Elk tag in AZ game and fish wants to get rid of elk in these units
MEAT
@@alexissalas6759I killed , the biggest bull i’ve ever harvested off of one of those otc tags … took a lot of work , but got lucky , we hunted in late september ( no velvet )
@@oneshotpete6.591I believe it when hunting pressures high they go into the depredation zones and folks get lucky
#2 shooter..... horrible shot.
Your boi friend remi didn’t exactly X ring his shot either
@@lisawood2031 he hates him cause he ain't him 😂
Moving left, quartering to,, significant distance, and with a margin of error everyone has, yeah, he pushed it right a couple inches... got the job done though. 😊
